Never once did anyone express any sense of irritation or impatience with Mother or my husband and I in explaining each aspect of the process of listing her home and making sure we all understood what to expect through every step. This title company has extremely poor communication. They did not return my calls in a timely…read morefashion - if at all. They withheld $40,000 from the proceeds of the sale of my home without my authorization or knowledge. The bid for the roof was $27,000. They did not send me closing documents to sign until 90 minutes before closing, and did not explain, nor inform me that they were going to withhold that money and put it in an escrow account. It was my understanding they were going to write a check to the roofer for the amount of the bid he submitted, NOT put it in the buyer's escrow account. PLUS they put an additional 1/2% of the bid into the escrow account! I would not use this title company again, nor recommend it to anyone!
