Trail Roofing's competitors gave me the runaround. Two outfits told me my job was too small and they were only taking on either new construction or complete roof replacements. The third guy promised to start work "at the end of next week" for two months straight. When I called Trail Roofing and explained my situation, their head guy (Eric) came out to assess the damage and provide a quote the next day. The day after that, a two-man crew (who couldn't have been more professional and were very careful to clean up every scrap) arrived to commence the work. They did what they needed to do to prevent any additional damage, and actually gave me some very good news with respect to the damage that had already been done inside my gables. As the metal panels I needed were on back order, I had to wait a couple weeks for the work to be completed. But two days after the materials arrived, the guys were back to finish up. The roof looks fantastic, and my final bill was actually a couple thousand LESS than I expected.

I cannot say enough good things about A&A painting!…read more In a nutshell, I first hired a crummy painter to paint the exterior of my Rossland house and I got ripped off. By the time the crummy guy had billed me for about 85% of his total estimate (which comprised 35 hours of work), he'd completed only about a 20% of the project. (You do the math...) I then called Rick at A&A and explained my situation. He came to have a look and provide a new estimate. Unfortunately, the house still needed to be pressure washed because the previous outfit had not adequately addressed the old paint, and much of the work was so shoddy it would require an extra coat. By that point, I'd blown a huge chunk of my painting budget on the crummy painter and could no longer afford to do everything I'd initially wanted to do. Rick and I walked around the exterior of the house together and he took the time to help me come up with a plan to paint the house in a way that would still look great but would ultimately save me some of the money I'd wasted on the crummy painter. The team that came to paint (John and his son) were efficient, polite, professional, and amazingly good at what they did. They had the whole place pressure washed, scraped, and painted (including trim and windows) within a couple days. They even fixed some of the sloppiness (poor cutting in) left by the crummy painter. I plan to paint the exterior of my detached garage next year and you can bet I'll be calling A&A and nobody else.
