House hunting can be a daunting task, and not at all like the television shows would have you believe. Fortunately for me I met Colin Farris. From the moment I met him I felt comfortable in his personality, knowledge, and expertise. I recommend Colin Farris without qualification. This past summer I had to sell my home in Pasadena due to a failed marriage. However, the circumstances did not dissuade my realtor Colin Farris. He handled my ex wife's and my concerns in a very thoughtful manner and facilitated a constructive dialogue between the two of us. As with any time someone finds they have to sell their home due to an unplanned life change, there is a concern of very costly loss. However, due to Colin's thorough research and market positioning, he was able to get two buyers to compete for our home. As a result of Colin's strategic negotiations, we ultimately sold our home for list price; obtained a free 20-day rent back after the close of escrow and didn't credit any money to the buyer though our home had $14,940 in section 1 termite damage. Moreover, when the buyer's lender failed to close escrow on time, Colin negotiated a $125 per diem (paid by the buyer) in order to cover our unanticipated principle, taxes and insurance costs that came when escrow was delayed. Colin makes time for his clients. He never makes you feel rushed. You never walk away from a conversation feeling unsure. He is very protective and manages the transaction with confidence. I have not used Colin as a real estate agent, but this review will make you want to for yourself. During a very stressful time in my life, a move going on along with other major difficulties, I loaded a pod outside where I was staying. I did not get the latch set properly. So the lock was not preventing the latch from moving and the door being opened. The company's policy is to not remove the pod if it is not locked. Colin noticed this as he was involved with the sale of the home I lived in. He saved me from serious lag time in getting the pod rescheduled. Thank you, Colin.
