I submitted an enquiry through Tabitha James Kraan's website and received a prompt, detailed response to all my questions. When I went in for my appointment, the receptionist was warm and friendly and made me feel welcomed. The salon is extremely well presented and has a beautiful, but understated decor in a 3 storey building. It was a bonus for me that they specialise in organic and natural hair colouring and haircare products. Due to the state of my hair, I requested an appointment with Tabitha herself, who assessed my colour and almost instinctively knew exactly what I wanted without having to ask too many questions, though she was very careful to communicate with me and make sure we were on exactly the same page before getting started. We had an highly informative, pleasant chat as she fixed some horrendous mistakes made by a previous colourist at a different salon. She would periodically stop to explain what she was doing and give me options for continuing, which makes perfect sense, but so few stylists have ever taken the time to do with me. She then showed me different ways to style my cut that look great and are actually practical and within my skill range. After the first visit I left with one of the best styles I think I've ever had.  I have been back several times and can only say that my hair has been completely transformed and has never been as healthy as it is now. Tabitha James Kraan is definitely worth it. The extra details definitely stand out and if you are keen on avoiding unnecessary chemicals, it is the place to go, as Tabitha has been specialising in organic haircare for nearly 2 decades and really knows what she is talking about. She recently launched her own British made Organic haircare range, which I started using and it has completely revived my hair; it's full of life and looks like it did when I was in my early twenties!

I found the reception very professional and friendly, without being intrusive and was made to feel relaxed and confident that I would be looked after well (which is important when you try out a hairsalon you have never been to before!). The consultation was excellent and I felt the stylist really listened to me. Everything was explained very patiently, about how the salon has been specializing in organic hair care for over 15 years! And I had a lovely complimentary treatment with Tabitha's new scented hair oil, which made my hair feel renewed, as a matter of fact, I can not remember the last time it felt so smooth and glossy. The hair cut was of the highest standard, with a finish to compliment. Everything about the salon deserves 5 stars, from the moment I walked in, throughout the whole journey, walking away, looking and feeling amazing, with a complimentary goodie bag in my hand (and a big smile on my face). Highly recommended for anybody who wants to experience a high quality hair salon that listens and cares about you and your hair. I will be visiting agin when I am in the area, at the moment I am even considering an occasional trip up, as this standard is hard to find anywhere.

I text over some pics after speaking to her and she fiited me in a few days later to 'fix' me. We were talking like we'd known each other for years, she is lovely. Four hours later (I do have really long hair), I was fixed. Absolutely love what she has done to the point she left 15mins ago and I am writing this. I am very precious about my hair, but had no worries, I was in good hands and have now got myself a fab hairdresser, she is amazing! All the staff & the owner are really welcoming and it is the most enjoyable hairdressers I have ever used. Very clean and tidy. You can't help but feel at ease as soon as you enter this light and airy salon. Nothing is too much trouble. Nice music in the background to while away the time. Really good products used on my hair......shampoo, conditioner, colour, serum and hair spray. Afterwards my hair smells delicious and is left nice and shiny. Whoever you book in with really listens to how you want your hair done and the cut is accomplished very professionally. Having my hair done is a wonderful relaxing experience and afterwards I always feel like a million dollars!! Following Covid19 the owner has installed lots of see through screens in between the salon chairs, also over the chairs at the sinks. The staff all wear masks and visors and the seats are thoroughly cleaned after use. The prices vary depending on what you are having done, but overall not bad. I fully recommend this salon.

Although fairly new they've built up a good regular client pool. I work just round the corner so I can pop there in my lunch break which is great!
