The check-in process went smoothly, we were given information about the local area, then accompanied to our villa. The 3 spacious bedrooms all had en-suite bathrooms which were decorated beautifully and provided sufficient storage space for our clothes and luggage. The living and dining rooms were also very well appointed and comfortable for our group of 6 adults. Though those spaces were not large, we were all able to sit comfortably and enjoy breakfast in the mornings and wine and movies at night. One of my favourite things to do while there was watching the sunrise every morning while relaxing under the Tuscan sun and reading my book, before preparing for a day of exploration. The kitchen, though small, was quite adequate and functional. There was a minor issue with the refrigerator which was quickly resolved after contacting the Front Desk. The view every morning and every evening was nothing short of fantastic! I definitely recommend this property for couples and adult groups. Not so much for young children. You will surely need a vehicle in this area of Tuscany, but don't worry, there are ample parking spots in the covered parking garage and also a few outside. The property is about a 20-minute drive to the local train station, Pontedera Casciana. On our day trip to Rome, we parked at Casciana Terme and took a local train to Florence. From there, we took the high-speed Frecciarosa train to Roma Termini. After a busy day in Rome, we did the trip in reverse and found our vehicle right where we left it earlier that morning, undisturbed at Casciana Terme. Drove back to Borgo alle Vigne to enjoy another night of drinking wine and watching a movie before going to bed. Many thanks to the lovely staff at Borgo alle Vigne for a wonderful, enjoyable, and memorable stay. Thanks also for the complimentary bottle of delicious wine celebrating the property's 10th anniversary. Looking forward to a return visit.

We did the "Notes of Sangiovese" tour and it was awesome. Thomasio let us into the villa courtyards and garden, as well as showed us the grape press and walked us through the entire wine process. Our favorite part was the cellar - so much history and Thomasio answered all of our many questions with grace and humor. The tasting at the end was superb - would definitely recommend adding on the cheese and meat board! We were not rushed in the slightest and it was lovely to have some private moments to ourselves. When we return to Florence in the future, we hope to visit again.

This is a little "boutique" hotel, with a perfect location. Not only that, you are walking distance from many attractions, and just about 25 minutes from the airport. I arrived on a weekday at around 4pm. Nice entrance. Lobby is equipped with plenty of seating area, and right behind is the breakfast room. Concierge was very friendly and welcoming and had me set up and ready to check in to my room in no time. While unpacking I realized I had left my converter at home, so I went down to ask where I could buy one, instead he looked through his drawers and found one for me to borrow. Room was adorable. It had an antique romantic feel to it. Old style cupboard, writing desk in the same style and finish, a beautiful flower tree painted on the wall. Double French windows, and the bathroom was so comfortable too. Sink right at the entrance of it, with mirror, then a sort of hallway took you to the rest of it. Shower, although a bit small, was clean, and loved that it was a standing one instead of a tub, with detachable shower head. On top of that, memory foam beds. You can imagine how much I loved this feature after traveling for over 12 hours without sleep. Breakfast was included in my reservation and was served every day until 10:30am. It included eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, cereal, yogurt, pastries, breads, and Nutella. Also coffee, tea, juices, and water - both still and sparkling. I saw they have a bar too, so mimosas, I guess are an option, and drinks during the day. They keep this area clean and organized at all times, and they always have someone there to help if needed, and clean up. The rooms where cleaned every day. It was so nice to come back to a nice, cozy, clean room after our long days out in the city. My brother traveled with his 3 month old baby and they also provided a crib for him. They also helped us get the cabs we needed to get to the airport, for our large group, and early in the morning, without any issues. Honestly this hotel was so accommodating, with great friendly staff, and wonderful location, I must recommend it to everyone!

The room was pretty big with a decent sized bathroom, hanging and shelf space as well as a chair, desk and tv in the room. Casa Howard is in a great location, close to the train station, car rental drop offs and most of the sights to see around Florence. Every morning you could choose from a selection for breakfast and choose to be delivered to your room from 8:00-10:00. They give you two keys for the whole place which is great (one of them was just to activate the lights in your room) the other was for all the door locks which is handy. We didn't spend much time in the hotel apart from sleeping as we were exploring the city but we enjoyed the stay and would probably look at staying here again. No complaints here, check it out for yourself.
