This company is TERRIBLE! They take advantage of MHG Employees who owe minimal amounts. I had moved and never received bills showing balance owed. Keeping in mind copays were paid at time of service. My address was previously updated, but they still had the wrong billing address. One day I returned home from work and found a summons in the corridor of my apartment on the ground-opened. The very next day I called Collections INC to inquire about the summons. I complained of how unprofessional at how they handle the situation. I then offered to pay my balance in full minus the charges since original bills were never received. The woman who answered my call told me she would not except any payment from me unless it was the full amount that included their fees. She out right refused my payment!! The original amount was under $200 with their fees $369. They garnished my paycheck for the full amount that included their fees without any warning at all. I called and complained telling the girl that answered the phone just how unprofessional they were. I told her there are so many people out there that does not pay their bills and rack up thousands and thousands of dollars without getting garnishments. Here I am who tried to make a payment that was refused because they wanted their cut. They then go and take advantage of my employment status which happens to be with the company they collect for and garnish my pay for amount that included their fees. All of this could have been settled and avoided had my payment been accepted by this crooked company. This company I just unreal. I PAY ALL MY BILLS, NO IF AND OR BUTTS. This is the second time I have gotten a "THIS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN LISTED WITH OUR OFFFICE FOR COLLECTIONS". And BOTH times was a bill under $30 and this time for $27.38, for MENORIAL HOSPITAL GULFPORT. Well yes, I use them and their DRs, and always pay in full for services Aka. copay etc.... This is the FIRST Notice I have gotten, and to a amount is unpaid, letter has no service date, what it was for, etc.... And I just let it go the first time ( just paid the amount demanded), I have the same phone # for 10 + years and same address for 20+ so I am very easy to contact. SO not happy about a second time a THREATING LETTER tell me the customer, I have to file with in 30 day OR ELSE. WEll this time I am filling with the BBB, and Mississippi State Attorney General complaint form Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
