They have so many wide programs in theater, arts, baccalaureate. The school is very diverse and allows students to interact with all kinds of students from different ethnic backgrounds. They always encourage students to come from abroad, so you'll have the chance to meet with people from around the world. They offer PSEO, so you can go to Normandale and get credit for high school and college (although most classes only transfer to U of M and not all private schools accept - look into it). Great neighborhood. Great after school programs. Great teachers. Just awesome!

I have the opportunity to be a community partner with Zanewood and have seen the school from the inside this past few months. B. They have a staff and leadership team that care deeply for the school in fact some staff feel called if not compelled to make a difference. I have also met the new principle who came from Obama Elementary in St Paul and she is going to see this school live up to my ranking. 3. I have seen the degree the volunteer services goes to endure kids have the resources necessary to succeed in life and school and have seen a desire to get parents more involved in the school body. 4. Lastly, Brooklyn Park is a cool city with a gritty vibe and embodies everything that is awesome about diversity. There are several great schools in Brooklyn Park and Zanewood is one that pulls from the largest area and represents a student body that has significant needs. The kids here are artistic, dream big dreams and have amazing possibilities. All you need to do is team up and volunteer! This Steam school is on the rise!

We had a lot of fun moving and grooving to Katherine's tunes. She has a good mix of Latin, Hip-Hop and Pop music. Her instruction was very good and we had little trouble following her. It's clear she's been dancing for quite a while. This was a decent workout and I would definitely suggest Katherine's Zumba class for beginner-intermediate. I personally like my Zumba a little faster paced, but if you're new to this style then she'll be great because she explains the steps and none of them were complicated. Also, the class isn't crowded, which makes it easier to see what she is doing.
