After spending so much time applying,…read moreMy OFFICIAL documents from parchment and my high school transcript directly from Lake Shore were not "official" enough for the college and they wanted me to pay ANOTHER $30 out of my pocket for pieces of paper I already had in my possession, so I withdrew my application for enrollment and demanded a refund of my $50 application fee, which they refuse to refund. I'm out $50 because their application process is totally ridiculous and financially unprofessional. It's probably a blessing in disguise because I can only imagine what education looks like at the college if the admission process is this disgusting.

If they don't like even 1 thing about you, they will make it their absolute goal to kick you out of the program, regardless of your grades. You have to be a " teachers pet " in order to be in good graces and graduate with the hateful professors. And good luck if you have a different stance or political opinion other than theirs. They will not like you even for that. They like to make " excuses " as to why you get kicked out of the program. All in all, AVOID the LPN Nursing program here at ALL COSTS! They offer online classes, in person classes and hybrid classes which combine online and in person. This is a small campus with approximately 1000 students. You really get to know your classmates. Being old enough to be my classmates' mothers, I was a bit nervous at how I would fit in for group projects, etc. It was needless worry-I was made to feel like I was no different. Great, kind students that I stay in touch with! I attended college full time, mostly at night, while working full time. Sometimes I could not take a required course due to the time it was offered. Hilbert worked with me and my schedule to ensure I graduated on time. I can't say enough about the accounting department professors. There were some bumps in the road, like online professors using lectures they recorded 5-10 years prior. This happened with several professors, so they did not discuss current events, but referenced things that happened when most of the students were ages 10-12. The same online professors also did not update the links they provided in their PowerPoint presentations causing me much frustration. I expect more for the money I was paying to take each class. This is the main reason for not granting the fifth star. All in all, Hilbert provided me and my daughter with an excellent education and I highly recommend it.

The engineering dept only offers courses either in the fall or spring, twice now she has had 2 required courses scheduled at the same time, Gannon was completely unwilling to work with her and told her she would have to move one off till the next year, which means she can't take any courses that have this course as a prerequisite. This also means adding a 5th year or beyond because they are not offering courses enough and my daughter needing to take unnecessary classes to stay full time because she can't get the ones she needs. They also won't approve summer courses at other schools. 2. The Athletic dept administration is horrible! They drive out good coaches and keep ones that are a mess. They support hazing and bullying and if a student says they are going to report it they are kicked off the team.

They've got a nice sized campus spaced out around downtown Erie. There are lots of places to get food or drinks nearby making a sort of mini college town effect. Next time I'm in Erie during the school year I'll have to check out some of the college and see it's buildings and inner beauty.

NOBODY answers the phone. They said to email them before I arrived and I did and when I got here the next day there was nobody here, Residence Life wouldn't answer so we had to call the campus police to let me in! There's a window from 7-7:30pm on weekdays to get your mail. You can't get your own mail. If you get locked out, too bad because NOBODY is here to help you.

Another day, they had what appeared to be an employee wasting other vendors time instead of in her booth doing her job on a the busiest day of the event, a Saturday. Don't shop other vendors, beg for discounts , ask for it to be held even though you were told it had to be paid by 4pm and then after holding the items from being sold, change mind.
