Your typical public elementary school only they go from K4 to 2nd grade only. They have a separate…read moreschool for 3rd to 5th grade towards the back. My daughter loves her K4 teacher and they are very open for parent involvement in the classroom. The parking area sucks though especially for special events. Picking up and dropping off can get annoying at times because of the traffic that accrues off Royle Rd but there's no way to avoid it. They do have cross guards who will help move traffic along when needed, which is helpful when you're trying to make a left out of the school.

What a great neighborhood school. Great vibe here. I go about twice a month to read to the…read morekindergarten kids and love it. The teachers are so invested here as is apparently the entire staff. Very safe and secure for sure. I have to go through 1 or two doors that have to be open from elsewhere which makes me think this is a place I would feel safe with my kids there. And the fact that they work with my Kiwanis Club to get the children read to is a sign that they reach out to the community to get what is necessary to educate the kids!

Either wait in the one-way line circling the parking lot til you get close enough for your child to see you and hop in or wait along the side of Discovery and have your child walk out to you. The second option is the best, in my opinion, cuz you're not stuck in a waiting line and can easily and quickly leave once you get your child. FYI there's no adult supervision in the mornings til 7:30 so drop your child off at your own discretion. The kids aren't allowed to go in the buildings until the teachers let them in. Apparently different grade students enter the buildings on different sides.
