This woman watched me while I pulled out our wet laundry from the wash machine as if I was stealing laundry. If this is what green hair inspires I'm keeping it green to expose people like this. We were in a hurry to gather our laundry and vamoose. Here is the rest of the encounter. When she started yelling at me initially, I stood in shock. Later she also knocked on the window by my head when I was sitting on the bench. I was afraid that one of our dryers had caught on fire! Nope. Just showing disapproval. She made me feel unwelcome and even a bit unsafe. I decided to tell her, maybe she didn't know? Nope. She yelled at me "I have never yelled at you!! " I explained when and what she had yelled at me. She continued to deny. I'm tired. We are on our way home. I'm pretty sad too. We like having specific trusted places.

They even had a few washers that had the capacity for 6 or 7 loads of clothes for $7.50 and it only took 25 minutes to wash! I know I sound crazy to get excited about laundry...but compared to my one at home that takes 60 minutes this is heaven! The jumbo dryer was 4 minutes for 25 cents and it was Huge as well. They have 2 change machines or you can also pay by credit card which is convenient. They also have a vending machine and a machine to purchase soap products from. When I walked in, I was greeted and I went on my way to the machines. After I put my stuff down I was asked if I needed any help (and I surely did). The staff worker walked me through how to work all the machines and even gave suggestions on what settings would work best for my clothes. I stayed there while my clothes were being washed and dried and the best part about this place is everyone from workers to other people there waiting for their clothes were super nice and talkative, making time fly. I have a couple car covers I need to wash too. I found the facility to be clean on my visits, in good repair and the machines were all fairly, new, clean and in well maintained condition. Every time I was there, maybe a couple others were washing as well. The machines in general didn't smell bad and the bathroom was clean and worked. Laundromats are a dying business for a number of reasons, so they're getting fewer and far between to find a nice one. If you want to see a real horror show check out the one in Seville, if it's still there. Had to use it about 7 years ago for the dryers while waiting for a timer for mine. Dog/pet hair in most of the machines, old beat up equipment, strange smells and mildew in most. I think it was even 24hr, but could have been only open to 10pm. Most laundries are in depressed areas or trailer park/hotel-motel vicinities. Through 40+ years of traveling and being in the military, I've used laundries all over the US and the world. This one in Creston isn't bad, at all. I was really impressed how nice it was the first time I went.
