Dr. Khan had ordered a EEG to make sure that she wasn't having seizures so that meant no more than 4 hours of sleep last night. Then when we got to the dr's office it was a 2 hr wait because they had booked 3 EEGs at the same time and they are an hr each. So not only did my daughter have to stay up most of the night, get up at 4 am, but I had to keep her awake 2 extra boring hours in the waiting room. Anyway, after the test we seen Dr. Khan, which up to this point we loved because he was so nice and good with her, during the previous appt..He comes in and states that her EEG is normal that she isn't having seizures, that he wants us to follow up with her Childrens Cardiology appt. to make sure that her BP isn't what is causing the passing out spells. So I was so relieved and thanking God, and at this point figured we would be ushered out to leave. He then begins to ask about her blood sugar levels. I told him she is coming out of honeymoon, so her sugar has been all over the place and she has had to have her insulin doubled since Aug. for both carb correcting and Long lasting. He then proceeded to tell us that she has gained 2 (two) LBS in the last 3 months and needs to promptly be put on a 1500 calorie diet. He tells her that she needs to lose 25 lbs before she comes back to see him (in 2 months)! Asks me if I own a treadmill, I told him no, he then said I needed to buy her one for Christmas. He then told me I needed to research nutrition pyramid online and she needed to eat 5 meals a day, especially breakfast, even if it was only coffee! COFFEE! For an 11 yr old child! He then says, yes you are built big and strong and that is good, but no need to be flabby, and he pointed at her stomach!!! Yes, he said every word of this to my 11 yr old child! He called her Endo A** monkeys because they hadn't said anything about her weight. He told her that if only she would lose weight, eat 1500 calories a day, that he is sure her diabetes would go away all together. That he was positive of that. I was so shocked that this entire conversation had just took place that I didn't know what to say. He rambled on and on about he wanted to see her healthy and to please lose the weight. We walked out and she looked at me and said " he just called me fat! I need to go on a diet and lose weight." I told her, baby if you are 200lbs or 100 lbs, your diabetes isn't going to go away. He is a very undereducated man when it comes to the endocrine system. My daughter is 11 yrs old, an adolescent , preteen, girl! How dare him tell my 11 year old Type 1 Diabetic daughter that if she loses weight, that her Diabetes will go away? How dare him tell any adolescent, preteen child that! He is a neurologist, one that I thought would be more educated, but apparently not. He needs an education in Type 1 Diabetes vs Type 2 Diabetes! She goes to a Endocrinologist who understands that Type 1 is forever. If she needs to lose weight to improve her BS it's her endo's business to tell her, not him. She has had blood tests that prove she is a Type 1 diabetic, loosing weight will NOT fix it!! After being treated for a fungal infection, over the last year, I saw Davis last Tuesday. I was told it was scar tissue & that the toenail would never grow back. I also made an appointment for my husband on this day. It was ALL WRONG! I ended up BACK at my GP's office! both toenails are STILL INFECTED (it's been 5 years!), and I had to go back on a antifungal medication. Today, my husbands appointment was at 8:30am. we went early, as requested, to fill out paperwork. long story short.... the appointment was canceled & no one told us! No one called! No one cared! And no one took ANY responsibility! Lastly for everyone on here.... Cumberland F&A sold out! they're privately owned and when you call, you'll be talking to a call center in California! First off, do not go by their hours. This is a family owned business and they come and go whenever…read more Call them. Also, don't make any other plans the day of your appointment. I would be scheduled every Monday at 2:30, sometimes I would get right in other times I would have to wait along with others for a long period of time. One time I showed up to my appointment ( I live 20 minutes away) and his wife said that Dr.True had a doctors appointment and wouldn't be back for an hour, even though I had scheduled this appointment weeks ago. The layout of his office is very strange, and his equipment looks pretty used. He has two separate work spaces with two different beds and one looks nicer and cleaner than the other but somehow he never uses that room. Dr. True and his wife are super nice and welcoming, but something about them is off. They're strange in a way, kind of creepy. Anyways, his work. The first session I had with him was the longest, mostly because he tried to talk to me about other things besides my actual back issues. I have psoriasis and a tumor (non-cancerous) and he tried telling me what was best for those even though I have my own doctors for those things. He wasn't focusing on the main problem why I was there, he started acting like a jerk a little bit when he was trying to act like he knew what was best for me after only knowing my name. Anyways, this first session lasted a good hour, the rest of them, I'm lucky to get 30 minutes of his time. Usually most of the time spent is laying on the wonderful water bed they let you relax one when your session is over. Earlier I mentioned how on the first day, the only thing he knew was my name... well, I don't believe going every week for a month if he even remembered that. He would always forget my job, my name, my age, where my pain was located, and what we did the previous week. They do not work with very many patients, I see the same people there every week and most of the time their tiny parking lot is empty. My back got a little better over time but not because of his work, but because of my will to get back into exercising. I did the healing on my own. The cracking would be resolved in the moment, but when I stood up to compare how it felt before the session, there really was no difference. I tried telling him and explaining that I thought it was nerve pain and it was something the cracking couldn't help but he denied it was that without any X-rays or proof. He stated all we needed to do was to stretch and strengthen and it would eventually get better. One month later I realized it wasn't going to get better so I gave up and started working out a lot, taking long walks and it started feeling better instantly. When he completes your 10 minute talking to you and popping your back twice session, and your 15 minute waterbed session-it was time to check out. When I go to my other speciality doctors they check me in and have me review my insurance and personal information to see if there is anything I need to change, they run my insurance and I pay my co-pay right then and there ( or it's eventually mailed to my address ) then I wait until my name is called. Normal, right? Well this check in- check out process is a little different. To "check-in" all it consists of is something called an "improvement sheet". This basically asks you your personal info and a chart that asks you to describe how you are feeling compared to last appointment (better-worse 1-10). Don't waste your time and fill these out, they don't read them. Even if they do they lose them or just ask you anyways. You would assume they would keep these papers in a folder for you along with the insurance and personal Information, right? Wrong. When you approach the check out desk there is multiple patients personal information just scattered everywhere. They make you sign a HIPAA form but they don't follow it themselves. Not to mention the receptionist ( his wife ) asked me what my usual co-pay for speciality doctors was. Isn't she supposed to know this? She hasn't even charged my insurance, she just agreed on a $25 co-pay every appointment. Very VERY sketchy. These are the reasons why I don't recommend this chiropractor. I want privacy, I want a family friend relationship, I want to be treated for more than 15 minutes, and I want a chiropractor that care about helping me. Overall I want professionalism. 2/5 stars. Would NOT recommend.

My husband's insurance covered 20 chiropractic appointments per year and he was told when those appointments were finished. So, he waited to make a new one. At no point was any piece of mail or phone call received from these people. Ater waiting and procrastinating, my husband called to make an appointment in Berea for himself and my daughter (McKee is shut down). It's a 30 minute drive and they arrived to a very nasty woman telling them they owed for a year's worth of service and would not be receiving treatment unless they paid $300. My husband should not have had a balance and my daughter had never been told about a copay. The fact that none of this could have been discussed via mail or phone in the year prior is ridiculous. We have no problem paying for service, but were never told what was owed. To be treated so poorly for their mistake was infuriating. We will not be back and i would not recommend these people to anyone while that awful woman, Michelle, is in that office.
