I did 1 semestere, 88 average in my courses. Had covid, No help from the school what so ever. had to cancel on semester. Awful institution, good people. This school is attended by people from unconventional walks of life that have found their place to study here. As for the school itself, while many of the staff are great and helpful, the same could not be said about the school itself. It is a profit making business, and will charge you tooth and nail for every little thing that you require for your cegept experience. Rather than feeling like you are attending an educational institution, you will no doubt feel like you've been suckered out of your hard earned money for programs you could take anywhere else at a better cegept. The one night class I attend at Dawson has been a better experience than my last two semester at college lasalle. Save your money and time. Go somewhere else. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I feel horrible for many of the students in the hospitality program. This place will actually cost you more per semester than going to Concordia. Students are thought a number of outdated courses that are no longer industry relevant, and MANY teachers are shockingly incompetent as instructors. I've seen multiple cases of harassment, discrimination, and a complete lack of action on the part of the administration. It's the type of school that is a "green school o quebec" when in fact they don't even recycle. Seriously. The janitors will enter a room during a class, empty the recycling into the trash before changing the garbage bag. This place is a joke. read more

I am currently attending Lasalle College for the Cooking Professional course in English. Unfortunately, I have to agree with J.S. F., the administration is worse than the Motor Vehicle office and a used car lot, and the counsellor dealing with Loans & Grants emailed me weekly reminding to pay the $400 application fee! They basically made sure that I applied for a Quebec loan before even asking about the program and did not take me for a tour or told me when the next open house was going to be. Once we started, they wanted another $580 for knives and books and when I told them it's not on the website, they told me that I should have known! I haven't found any positive reviews on any other programs at this school, however, the Chef that is teaching us is from France and is very knowledgeable, unfortunately the course is 8 hours a day 7 days a week with the Chef. We don't have any other different Chefs teaching us about business theory or industry standards, so he is fully working beyond himself and it gets tiring. If this wasn't the only English class, which was only 2-9pm available, I would definitely have gone to another school. The static between EMSB and the PQ added to the mix, my suggestion is to look at Toronto. read more

During my three years at LaSalle, I have had the opportunity to work with amazing teachers that have a true understanding of the fashion industry. Most of them have work directly in the industry and still do. Throughout all the event that the school hosts, we have the chance to meet amazing people and make great contacts for the future. My favourite class was Fashion Presentation in my second year, where we had the chance to organize our own fashion show. Having a big interest in event planning, that class was a great experience for me and I learned the real struggles and thrill of planning that sort of event! read more
