The building itself is a nice three storey building with a lot of charm. But of course the most interesting is the inside, where models of Leonardo's inventions are on display. You can visit his living quarters -still furnished- and go through the exibits. The place is child friendly, nothing too pompous nor technical. There is a very pleasant cafe on site, set in a lovely environmentwith a terrace in the park. There is also a souvenir shop which is quite tasteful. The entry fee is reasonnable compared to similar English sites(9 euros). We had a very good time and the children kept on talking about it for ages.

I think the feeling was mutual between them. The Clos can be seeing from Chateau d'Amboise where the French kings lived for a couple of hundred years. Its located at the top of a hill behind the town of Amboise. There are lovely grounds along with a large but simple chateau. Inside and out are scattered various machines and apparatus that Leonardo designed. There are also sketches of his designs inside the manoir. The rooms are lovely and its a very interesting place to visit. There were crowds of school kids walking around drawing various things and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. The grounds are worth a stroll and there is a cafe in the courtyard. The Clos is not a fantastic grand chateau like Chenonceau or Amboise but its worth a visit.
