Nothing glamorous about having a tube stuck up your rectum, yet the colonic irrigation treatments here are so powerful. They advise you to go for three treatments weekly for a good detox, in tandem with a dietary plan for 95 bucks a pop. One treatment did it for me. I did not know what was scarier...telling my friends that I would be having this treatment, or writing the review afterwards. From one of my friends (who is a healer) who recommended I undertake colonic irrigation to clean my insides out for a good detox...some internal plumbing was in order in laying my dignity on the table. You can see the crap leave your system. Stacks of bile, yet I keep going to the toilet...no bowel discharges for days. It wasn't pretty at the end. Meredith (ever so caring, I love your abdominal massages during the process) took the tube out 10 minutes early. Just to keep things personal, yep it wasn't pretty at the end - my toxic discharge was too much for the tube. However since I had this treatment last week my sweet cravings have reduced; I am sleeping really well - like a baby; I have more baby like skin and my eyes are brighter. Bingo. Seeing the crap coming out of your body through your tube works. You're more careful about what you eat. Despite the beautiful ambience, I felt like I was a hospital patient in my own room with a private ensuite. There were moments of intense pain as a jet of water went up my rectum and was released. My legs felt weak right to my toes, and naturally in the tummy area sharp pains were enjoyed. I even spent the next day in bed editing my manuscript and answering e-mails from the writers I mentor. Now I am careful about what I eat, although my diet can never be bulletproof to their standards. Heck, i'm a leisure and lifestyle freelance writer. Rather than sell products in her own pharmacy, I was advised by my pharmacist to get regular Colonics to assist with my IBS. My body had stopped functioning properly. Everything she advised was was confirmed at my initial consultation at the Colon Care Centre - that in today's society, many of us do not hydrate enough and the Colonics train your body to start working again, by hydrating it. In the consultation, we discussed my blood type and what that meant to my stomach juices and why eating some things (that I had always though were good for me), were causing bloating. The women at this centre, helped me to go from aching and bloating to feeling fantastic. You need to understand that it's not like getting your hair done, but it can be the difference a build up of toxins, looking pregnant from bloating & constipation or having a body that is then trained to start functioning properly again. If I could give this place a 0 star I would. The women who did my colonic was unprofessional, she was texting during my appointment, giggling with the other staff, my friend could hear the whole conversation in the waiting room, the light on the ceiling wasn't working and room was hot, I felt like I was in the movie hostel. Towards the end of the appointment she pulled the tube out while I still had stuff coming out and now I have been battling infection all week. After telling my friend about the experience (and hearing me in the room) they decided they didn't want to do it and the women was so unbelievably rude and stated 'well I'm keeping your deposit'. Which honestly, I would have much preferred to have lost the money than go what I've gone through (and what I'm still going through). I feel like I should report this place. read more

I've had many colonics from different practitioners around the world and the colonic itself was fine, the thing that wasn't, was the diet and fluid advice I was given. Being an expert in the field and diet and nutrition... please note there is absolutely no evidence to suggest people need to consume 3 litres of fluid per day for a "complete" bowel movement, nor is there that somebody should be following a "blood type" diet. Do not go here! The women here have terrible attitudes! This had to be the worst experience I have ever had at a establishment. I walked in to the outdated office and waited for my therapist. She wasn't friendly and very harsh looking. I decided to do the infrared sauna first and think about the colonic which she said was fine. For the sauna, she gave me no instruction. When I asked what I do, she said "you just sit in here and sweat." I was given no towel. No towel to sit on. Do I wear a bathing suit? Go naked? I didn't know when they would come back or if I should just come out after 30 minutes. I had an uneasy feeling in the sauna the whole time. A treatment as simple as an infrared sauna should be easy to make the client feel comfortable. Since I was not happy with this service, I decided not to go ahead with the colonic. I was very polite and told them how I felt. I felt very ganged up on while 3 women tried to talk over me. They would not waive my fee for the colonics and I left in tears. read more

I bought a groupon voucher with included 1 colonic, gut capsules and an infared sauna session. The day before my appointment I was sick and nauseous so I called up and asked if I could reschedule. I was told my voucher would be void if I did so and so I had no choice but to keep my appointment. I found the owner who conducted the colonic quite patronizing and rude when I told her I mainly eat a vegetarian diet besides fish, and was given un-welcome dietary advice telling me I needed animal protein. I am doing a degree in dietetics so I think I know a thing or two about nutrition. The practitioner also advised I stop the treatment half way through - since I told her I had been nausous the previous day, and so I only ended up getting a short 15 minute session which was not really adequate. After this I asked about my infared sauna session which was supposed to be included and I was told that it would be too much for my body to handle? I also asked about the complementary gut capsules I was supposed to receive and the practitioner said it was best I do not take them for whatever reason. So I left feeling really ripped off and I would never recommend this centre to anybody. read more
