I have to say again, that Colonial helped me out HUGELY several years ago when I owed around 20K to the IRS. I had called a couple other places (I think I may have called one off of TV). I talked to those folks, and all they cared about was getting my money to "fix" my issue. I googled a tax fixer (don't remember the exact words I used) and found them. I filled out the online form, and I got a phone call the next morning from the boss (can't remember his name). He was the most honest, upfront, and sincere person I had ever talked to. He gave me the ins and outs (unlke the others, who just wanted money with a promise), and he told me he could help me. He put me in line with one of his co-workers, and she helped me line all my stuff out, talked to the IRS, and kept me informed all along the way. My debt was DRASTICALLY reduced, she lined it out where I made payments, and then, after two years or so, she had already told me to call her and let her know when I reached a point, and she filed MORE paperwork and got MORE money taken off!! They knew their stuff. This past year, I got notified by the IRS that I made a mistake on claiming my wife's disability income three years ago, and we owed three thousand dollars. I called Colonial, talked to the owner (again), he looked at everything and said I have no options, so I have to pay. I called the IRS, lined out a payment plan ($50 a month, and my refund should either pay it off or come close) The HUGE thing was Colonial was legitimately honest. Sold my Southern California beach house and moved back home to Denver in 2014. A tax accountant mistakenly put $801,000 as Capital gain, (big mistake), soon the letters and phone calls started. These guys are amazing! Rick went above and beyond to help me with my tax issues. He gave me all of the information I needed to get on the right track again. And he did everything free of charge.
