Marcus said no problem would probably cost around $1,000 and he would have them filed by April 15th. Wanting an update I contacted Tanner front desk the last week of March since I hadn't heard from them and left messages 3 different times that week for Marcus to please contact me with estimate of taxes owed (I knew I would owe $40,000 plus to Irs). Marcus never contacted me. All I wanted was a text or an email or a phone call but he couldn't be bothered (no one there could even return a call). Finally less than a week before April 15th my husband called the Tanner receptionist and said we wanted our tax documents back. My husband picked them up that day and all Marcus had to say was for us to file an extension - he hadn't even touched them. Filing the extension would have prevented us from getting the state of Colorado tabor refund of $1,600, which might not sound like much but when you are going to owe over $40,000 every little bit helps. There was no apology he didn't even care. My husband and I had to quickly take our info over to another company who worked very hard to get them filed by April 15th. Whatever you do don't go to Tanner or work with Marcus. They don't care about regular people. I guess we were just small potatoes to them.

No. Checking my credit report this year (2013) I found a ding from some credit agency that I'd never heard of...so I called, investigated, etc. Turns out this accountant sent me to collections...even though they had my address, email and phone number!! The collection agency has been hell to deal with, and now they're charging me fees for their services. I'm outraged because there shouldn't have been a need for them in the first place! I contacted Bob Ficcas office and they were unhelpful and curt. All told--I'd steer clear of this business. This has been wayyy more trouble than it's worth. Do your own taxes at home...pulling your hair out with a free edition of TurboTax would be far preferable to the months of follow up and frustration that I've been through in dealing with Bob Ficcas office and their faux-collection agency.
