Lovely old-style (but modern furnishings) bathroom.

Lovely 'Old Florida' hotel. I love places with history, and this hotel delivered! The rooms are wonderful and the lobby was beautiful! LOVE THIS PLACE!

Ah, this hidden gem is a must do. It's located on the southern side of the beach in Delray. We came here during our stay at the Colony Hotel and it was so relaxing. Several friends of ours chilled out by the salt water pool and took a dip in to cool off. There are plenty of lounge chairs and complimentary towels as well as soda and water to use and sip on while having some fun in the sun. There is a boardwalk that goes to the private beach area and a covered area to enjoy lunch during certain hours of the day. I got a turkey cabana sandwich, which had quite a bit of bacon, lettuce, and mayo with a cup of fruit. It was a bit pricey, but it was great and the portion was huge. The friendly service was quick in the beginning and started to become busy as the afternoon went on. We had to try to find our waiter a couple times to check on some food being brought out and for our bill. It's only open to hotel guests and club members only. The hotel guests have full use of the club from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the day of arrival through the day of departure. We were able to enjoy one afternoon of it and it was plenty for us. There were bath houses for changing and showering. There are membership options that you can contact through the hotel website or phone number for more information. Too bad time had to hit or else we would have forgotten about reality a little while longer during our visit ;)

My boyfriend and I had a "staycation" here and could not be happier! 10/10 would recommend. The hotel itself has a family owned, historic vibe with details like unique furniture, crown molding, original 1926 hardwood floors (!!!!!), and staff that is super personable and truly cares. This hotel does NOT have a corporate vibe with cookie cutter rooms and everything standardardized and impersonalized like mega-chain hotels. Free parking, non-smoking, eco-friendly, complimentary breakfast. DOG FRIENDLY HOTEL AND BEACH (!!!). The beach club is clean, not crowded, with polite employees walking around asking if you need help. Note: NO BAR at the beach club but you are allowed to bring your own drinks. My boyfriend and I are in our 20s and spent a Friday afternoon here and we're the youngest people there by two decades. We loved it! The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants. We had dinner at Dada's and then walked back to the hotel to get a drink at the bar and enjoy the live saxophone player. The bed was very comfortable. Everything in the room spotless and nothing smells. Disclaimers: the elevator is from 1926 and must be employee operated. You can ring a bell and the employees will come right up and operate it for you. Otherwise, you take the stairs. There are only 3 floors and we've taken the stairs each time with no issue. If you are unable to take stairs and are impatient, request a room on the bottom floor.

I was in town visiting a girlfriend and we ended up visiting Colony Cabana Club since it was associated with our hotel. The shuttle schedule is posted in the lobby of the hotel and it only runs about every 2 hours or so. The nice thing about this "Club" is that it was pretty quiet (at least when we went in January) and they provided towels, water, restrooms, etc. We opted to stay in the salt water pool vs. going to the ocean as it was a bit on the strong current side and we are both pregnant. We didn't want to deal with losing a swimsuit top or trying to find balance. Lunch was available to purchase between 12-2pm and it was only able to be charged back to your room at the hotel. This was a little unfortunate as we had already checked out but I guess they keep the card on file until the end of the day. We did enjoy the quiet time and I can see how it can get rowdy if there were more crowds but it was a nice little visit.

This is no resort. This place is a DUMP and infested with cockroaches!!! I checked into a dirty…read moreroom with smudged mirrors, hair on the countertops, dusty coffee machine and lamps next to the bed, I'm not nit picky so I over looked that, however, when my daughter opened the toilet to find urine in the toilet, that was the final straw. I called the front desk to complain and they sent up the housekeeping staff whom were rude when they came to clean the toilet. Then, I woke up at 1 am and found a cockroach on my toothbrush in the bathroom!!! I sent a text message to the guest services that has been texting me regarding our stay and sent pictures. I asked to be switched rooms but they only offered to move us to a worse location room on the first floor with a view of the parking lot. No thanks, I don't want to be closer to the ground where there are MORE cockroaches!! So I just asked that my room be thoroughly cleaned and sprayed for bugs. After going out to dinner tonight, I returned to the room to find MORE cockroaches in the bathroom!! I killed a baby cockroach on the wall and another one next to the shower. I called the front desk to complain again and they just sent someone to spray our room. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE at a so called "resort" that I paid more than $500/nt for plus their additional $40/nt resort fee. Ridiculous! I will never stay at an Opal Grand Property again.
