Mushroom we painted in July 2024
Lourella M.

We went here for a birthday party and painted our mushroom. Here's what it looks like when we picked it up. There were lots of kids painting and the employees there helped the birthday girl's mom getting things sorted out. What a wonderful way to celebrating a 5th birthday party. The employees were helpful in getting the kids and the adults who wanted to paint situated. There were lots of paints, brushes, and stencils to choose from. We were a bit pressed on time so I wished we painted the white circles over again with another extra coat but it's okay. It gives the spots some character. (:

We had a really great experience here. Went in on a Wednesday at 12 and it was completely empty. We were the only people here and sat at a nice little table. We had all the brushes and paints and ceramics to ourselves. It was so peaceful, very diverse music choices. It was just the perfect way to spend a rainy, gloomy afternoon. Parking was super easy to find and all the employees were the nicest and helped us with discounts they were offering. Just overall really pleasant experience for a relaxing weekday.

My kids absolutely love this place we come at least once a month if not every other month. Services is always great staff is friendly and attentive. A few years ago I did my daughter's birthday here and they had so much fun. I reserved the back area, I liked how they had a section where I could place my food. And kids had plenty of space to paint and walk around when needed. I enjoy coming to this location and my kids can't get enough!

Before my daughter went back to school, we decided to have a mother and daughter day. Since she loves arts and crafts, we decided to go to Color me Mine. It was her first time there and she absolutely enjoyed it! It was very safe, clean and we had a very relaxing time painting. I can't wait to go back next week to pick up our pieces!

I wanted to take my mom some place nice for Mother's Day that was in my budget, but classy and fun. I wanted a place where we could talk and unwind, and just be creative. Color me mine was just that place. I loved the atmosphere, the area around was so beautiful, and then the store itself just blew my mind. The owner is the sweetest person I've ever met. The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable, and just overall attentive. My mom really enjoyed herself and she is still talking about Mother's Day. Thank you for helping me make my mom feel as special as she is. Hearts and many hugs!

Such a great place to enjoy quality time with your children! I have been coming here for years with my daughter and every time is as enjoyable if not more than the last. I am so thankful for this place of business and the staff is always great and very supportive helping my daughter and I getting setup even providing aprons when needed!

There were plenty of pieces to choose from, the staff were kind and accommodating, especially when we needed refills on our paint and responding to questions along the way, the bathrooms and studio is really nice and clean, the ambiance is very relaxing. It was only two other tables there at the same time we were so it was truly a relaxing experience with a low crowd. We came back for our prices and they turned out great! The studio fits large group of six as well as smaller groups in the main or back area. The main area has great open floor concept with natural sky lighting but the back feels more intimate and quiet. Good mix of both vibes to cater to your experience. The different variety of pottery are abundant for you to select that averages about $30 with $11 set fee per person. There's a wall of color for you to write down on a smaller palette. I loved that they how the final product would look like depending on the number of coats you brush on your item. The service is attentive to refill your paint but not overbearing. The location is right by the plaza parking that only charges overnight or you can always do street parking as well. Don't miss out on grabbing a drink from the tea shop next door to accompany the painting

Best pot making workshop!…read more My friend booked a Make-a-Pot Workshop on Eventbrite this past Saturday and we had so much fun adding colors to our cement molds. The class was organized by Krizia (aka Concrete Geometric on IG). We arrived a little late for the class, but luckily they had just began and we were able to pick our molds - oval, circle, or square. Our class favorited the oval shaped molds and we quickly became experts at mixing different colors thanks to Krizia's assistance. Based off all of the services she provided, this was definitely an experience I'd invite all of my friends and family to try. While we waited for our molds to bake, there were plenty of beautifully crafted items for sale. As a student of the class, we were given a 10% discount off items purchased in the store and a free succulent from the yellow bin. Snacks and bottled water were available for us as well. After our molds were ready, it was time for the reveal. Each student opened their mold to show the class and it was wonderful to see everyone's unique creations. We took group photos and received a polaroid to take home. It was the sweetest gesture! This class was such a blast and at such a great value! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to get in touch with their creative side.

It's a fun place for crafty people. Celebrated a birthday here. They were kind enough to let us cut a cake that we brought along. The vibe is very hip and nostalgic. Pacman, Mario, Micky Mouse, lots of mushroom sculptures, bags, pens, and much more! They give you an apron and gloves. You customize the colors you want in the pot! They provide the concrete mix and the colored powder to choose the color you want. Krizia showed us the consistency we needed before we poured the mixture into our molds. You can customize whether you want your pot to have drainage holes. The concrete dries quickly! The curing process happened in two parts and happened over about less than an hour. You can technically go get coffee while you wait for it to dry. The shop is beautifully merchandised. They are a design agency that has a little store, which also hosts workshops.

I can't begin to express what an amazing gem Art Rebel Studio is! We were trying to figure…read moresomething out for our daughter's 6th birthday party. We know we wanted to do some kind of art party but wanted to be unique. We found that at Art Rebel for a glow in the dark art party. Ponti, the owner, made this birthday so special for our 6 year old and all her friends. From the beginning he was so easy to work with and very communicative. Ponti has kids birthday parties down to a science with different activities planned out that all the kids loved! Him and his team handled it all while we got to relax and chat with other parents. On top of that, we didn't have to worry about goodie bags because all the kids went home with a couple pieces of glow in the dark art that they made. There was a separate, and massive, room for food and drinks so when cake cutting came around it was so easy. Also he made setting up and packing up so easy. If you're looking for something different and special for your kid's birthday, I can't highly recommend Art Rebel Studio enough!

The owner of Art Rebel is an amazing artist named ponti. He has an incredible business in Art Rebel…read morebut beyond that he himself is a iconic artist I had set decorated a 20th century fox show called Empire and I had reached out to him to give him the color, palette and size and had him do several custom paintings for Terrance Howard's office and other sets. He collaborated with me in regards to the colors that I needed and also some different styles. He has a amazing inventory of iconic art that I would urge anyone to ask him to see for purchase. Also, upon commission like I did with him for a show any Set Decorator or designer or person that loves art would love him. This particular character was Terrence Howard, who was a hip-hop Mogul in the story so the hip-hop vibe that is very much alive in pontia work was perfect. I can't say enough about his business Art Rebel because it is from adult fun to kids but extremely unique compared to a typical art business for corporations or birthday parties as it has an edge to it and is very hip and unique in the style that they present to the customer in Art Rebel! So much fun and you forget about your problems and very healing for me.

Banned from Buying After Their Own Product Broke in 18 Days…read more Bought a sewing machine for my elderly mom--when it broke after 18 days, the manager refused to help and told us to shop elsewhere. It'll be a very long time before I ever set foot in another Michael's--especially the one in Glendale, CA. Let's face it: good customer service is rare these days. I read plenty of negative reviews about this store's self-checkout mess and lack of help before writing this. My main issue, though, is poor management. I recently bought a sewing machine for my elderly mother, a lifelong seamstress who just needed a reliable, basic model. The sewing section was literally a wall of product cards--no demos, no displays, and no one available to explain anything. You grab a ticket and bring it to the register, but a ticket doesn't mean it's in stock. Behind the self-checkout counter sat a random stack of damaged boxes. The kind attendant confirmed our chosen model was out of stock, so we settled for a smaller Singer and took it home. It turned out to be tiny--almost toy-like. So we returned it (receipt in hand) to exchange for a larger, pricier one. Enter "Manager" Nagila. She curtly told me that Michael's "does not allow sewing machine returns if you simply don't like it." She called it "store policy" but couldn't explain why. Whether that rule truly exists or not, her attitude was cold and dismissive. I explained we weren't returning it out of preference--we just wanted to upgrade to a better, more expensive machine. Only then did she reluctantly process the return, warning she'd "allow it this one time" but "not again." It felt less like customer service and more like being scolded for trying to do business there. Fast-forward 18 days: my mom's mid-project when the new machine fails completely--error codes C4 (bobbin issue) and E6 (motor failure). We went back, receipt in hand. Nagila immediately refused to help, wouldn't even inspect the machine, and told us to "just go somewhere else." She processed a refund and said we were no longer allowed to purchase sewing machines at that store. When I asked her name, she mumbled it under her mask and snapped, "I don't have to give you my name!" before storming off. One of the regular employees--the same kind woman who helped us before--apologized and admitted her manager was in the wrong. Michael's Corporate: This is how you lose loyal customers. Managers like Nagila are running your stores into the ground.
