My AR-15 I shot at the range.
Jason C.

I've been to Colorado Clays twice. On both occasions, the staff have been more than friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. As a newbie to guns as a hobby, this was important to me. I've used the rifle range and the pistol range. Both seemed clean, well organized, and fully operational. I never used the clay shooting range, so i can't really speak to that portion of the business. I sincerely have 0 complaints, which is rare for me. This is going to be my "go-to" range as the location is perfect.

This range is pretty awesome especially coming from the city, a little drive out to Brighton and you'll find a very organized place with very poor cell phone reception just so you know. Went to go shoot some clays with the shotgun the officer told us the rules and was out of our hair after that it was a ton of fun. They fly's are remote operated and randomly go in different directions and you can shoot as many of your gun as you want, but it is only one shell at a time for the clays. No biggie. The handgun range is indoor/outdoor which is awesome to be able to have some good airflow going. I'd definitely recommend this range it's very inexpensive if you have your own guns and ammo like most places and over all just a great time.

Outstanding facility. Great staff. Terrific prices. Only drawback is it's a trek from our Conifer abode to Brighton - Terrific for shooters -

The sporting clays are the most fun, but don't forget about skeet or clay pigeon shooting.

Prior to Saturday, June 17th, '23, I had been to Trigger Time once with a long-standing member of the club. Even though I have shot a great number of guns there - as well as out in the wilderness - I knew that I needed formal instruction. The father & son teaching the class together were superb (Perry & Troy Morris). Both certified by the NRA, I knew that these two men were the real deal. [They also struck me as really good humans.]    The lecture portion of the course was nicely jazzed up with humor and interaction, and the Powerpoint presentation itself wasn't a snoozer like so many Power Points wind up being. These astute learning leaders maintained our attention and alertness by providing frequent breaks and interesting facts throughout the day.   Regarding the hands-on portion of the class, Troy and Perry were marvelously encouraging and provided the perfect amount of assistance & intervention.  From loading and proper grip to stance & hitting the target, the father & son team made the experience downright enjoyable. Since taking the class, my intimidation and fear in handling guns has diminished greatly and my basic pistol skills seem more solidified. That being said, I am going to recommend the Pistol Basics class - and Trigger Time, the business itself, particularly to other women.

Gerry was a really nice guy and enjoyed talking, relating to us, and having a good laugh. It's an 8 hour course so it can be a bit tough I'm sure teaching people you've never met. Gerry broke down the law and safety basics in easy ways. The quiz was straightforward and the shooting time relaxed. No references to politics on either side of the aisle, so good place to just go shoot. Their rec room had a really nice, homely feel. Coffee, candy, snacks, and a variety of guns to try out. Ammo at reasonable prices. Thank you Gerry and the team for a great course!

I know they offer training as well but I have not tried that. The ammo is expensive so make sure to bring your own and not rely on needing to buy from them. The indoor range is LOUD so make sure to double up on the ear protection (in ear and over the ear). Luckily, I have not noticed it being too smoky or smelly in there so I think they have a really good HVAC system. The people are nice (not overly friendly, just nice) and you go there to pew pew. That is all you need to know.
