Back in September, my husband and I had planned a hiking/biking trip. However, when the trip got…read morecloser, my husband woke up with a very painful toe. After some internet sleuthing, it seemed to be gout! He took some extra days off and we tried everything we could do at home to help him feel better, but we didn't want to cancel our trip. I had a great idea, how about we make the trip a tour of the hot springs of south west Colorado? Since he couldn't hike or bike very well. I had read that acupunture was good for gout and I had gotten it for trauma and anxiety and it was quite effective, so why not give it a try? I made an appointment with Chris and got all of the paperwork done on the way there. He was so kind and gentle and it felt great just to be in his presence. I went for a bike ride along the river and my husband got his treatment. It went well and he sent some Chinese herbs to our house. This condition resolved itself very quickly and my husband was back to mountain biking and hiking.
