It's been a while since I've left a review, but I will tell you that if anyone asks me who to go to…read morethis is exactly who I always suggest. This is one of the most respectful, knowledgeable, and intuitive doctors I have ever had the privilege of being seen by. I moved to Boulder several years ago and if he wasn't so far away, I would keep going there. I've only met one other doctor in the entire state of Colorado that has his incredible sense and instinct in bedside manner. He's a once in a lifetime physician, especially if you're struggling with things that nobody else can seem to diagnose or treat. For all of these people on here they gave him a one star review for whoever ever answered his phone, SHAME ON YOU! There are very sick patients out there that need this man and just because your feelings got hurt because someone didn't bow down to you when you made a telephone call is absolutely zero reason to give a one star review! Apparently that's the thing to do on our society these days. I will continue to give him five star reviews once a month until his rating goes back up to where it deserves to be. You literally will not find a better physician in Colorado!

I must admit I was a bit nervous when I was scheduled for a routine screening colonoscopy by my New…read moreWest primary care physician. Rocky Mountain Gasteroenterologist is when they refer their patients for this procedure, so I trusted their recommendation. Shortly after the referral, I received a phone call from a nurse who took down some information regarding of my health history. I was then given a choice of a morning or afternoon appointment and scheduled for the procedure at their earliest available date, which was a reasonsable 2 weeks after the referral. I then received detailed written instructions both via regular mail and email regarding the pre procedure routine for cleaning out your system. These instructions were easy to follow and the "clean out package" was easy to order online from a link in the email. The package contained several laxatives, Gatorade powder to mix it with, broth and jello for the clear liquid diet and tushy wipes. I appreciated having everything in one place before my procedure. When I arrived at the center on my procedure day, I was greeted by the receptionist and was given several forms to complete. I then waited about 20 min. A friendly nurse who introduced herself as Ellen greeted me, took me back to the preoperative area and instructed me to change into the gown and socks. The warmed socks were a nice touch! She smoothly started mt IV was started and then met my endoscopist, Dr. Jain and my nurse anesthestitist, Adam. Both were very friendly and reassuring. After another short wait, I was taken back to the endoscopy room where the procedure was done. Thanks to Adam's expertise, I felt nothing and besides being a little groggy, I woke up feeling great. Nurse Jenny met me in recovery and along with Dr. Jain, they explained the findings thoroughly. I was given a packet of written instructions along with a number to call if I had any problems, and then sent home. The next day, I received a phone call from Nurse Colleen to check on me and make sure I was doing ok. This was a nice touch. Overall, I had a easy and positive experience at Lakewood Endoscopy Center and would highly recommend them to anyone having a colonoscopy. Thanks to all the caregivers that helped me through a routine, but nerve-wracking, procedure!

When GREEDY NONSENSE wins over common sense ---…read more I arrived for my procedure, checked in, and was immediately told I had to pay $1,700 upfront. I explained that I had several recent medical visits (urgent care, ER, MRI, and two spinal injections) that all still needed to be processed by insurance, and I preferred to wait until everything cleared so I'd know the actual amount I owed. The front desk told me I couldn't be seen unless I paid at least half. I repeated that I didn't want to pay an arbitrary amount and then have to fight for a refund that could take weeks. I simply wanted them to bill my insurance and charge me the correct amount afterward -- the way every other facility has done. They refused, so I left. A few minutes later, the same staff member called to say she had "rerun" my insurance and now it showed I only owed around $350, so suddenly that amount was acceptable. Which just proved my point -- it clearly fluctuates. What if they ran it again tomorrow and it showed I owed $0? I had fasted for two days, taken a PTO day, spent money on supplies for the prep, and sacrificed time with my son for absolutely nothing because they insisted on collecting an inaccurate estimate up front. This was incredibly unprofessional and showed zero regard for patients' time, money, or basic dignity. I will be taking my care elsewhere. DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY!!!

After some discussion I realized that my definition of tarry stools and The medical professionals definition are different. My definition was that the toilet paper never gets clean. Although I have constant fatigue my iron levels are normal based on the fact that I take iron supplements however the physician's assistant still recommended and endoscopy and a colonoscopy because I'm anemic. I called twice to talk to the physician and was told that I couldn't speak to God Almighty unless I scheduled another appointment and paid another $25 copay. This is the same place that told my daughter that she had celiacs disease after speaking to her for 10 minutes and later retracted that as well. I don't trust this place. I think they're a racket. When you're only tools a hammer every problem looks like a nail.
