Additionally, all forms received were translated into Spanish and had both English and Spanish on the actual forms! Initially, when the forms were received, they were in English. My co-worker asked if they could get them in Spanish, and the forms were subsequently translated into Spanish. Okay, first off let me paint the picture: In 2016 my ex wife of 12 years decides to cheat with a…read moreregistered sex offender that is half her age. I put up with this for eight months, then in May of 2017 I decide to divorce. Many things ensue, I hire a lawyer, start off giving my ex $1500 a week for bills while expecting her to get a job and transition to being single again. She refuses to pay the bills, refuses to get a job, turns down every reasonable agreement that our lawyer comes up with (she wanted 70% of my income and a clause saying I could not leave the rural county with our children, and would not see reason.) I ended up dropping her to $600 per week and paying the bills on my own, I caught up all the bills within a month and started taking my name off of them. Then she decides to overdraft a joint bank account by $1200 by transferring to an account that my name is not on (to this day she denies it but I have the bank records to prove it). In the meantime she is fighting me tooth and nail about seeing my children. After the theft, I find out she has used that money to hire her own lawyer in an attempt to take my rights to my children and as much of my income as she can. She will not listen to reason and so I finally decided it was time for a new lawyer. A REAL lawyer. I make some calls. Most are booked up but I get several recommendations for Brenda Jordan. She is described to me as a bulldog, a bitch, and a few other colorful things but all agree that I ABSOLUTELY want her in my corner. I call her up, pay the retainer, and get started. This woman was everything I had been told and more. She took care of everything, has gone WAY above and beyond my expectations, and in court made mince meat of the opposition. It was like watching a Doberman put a puppy in its place. In the end, she set all my fears aside, and handled my case better than I could have expected. Everything my ex tried to do (including a letter to the judge lying about me being an abusive father) we were able to deal with through hard work and proper evidence. At the end of the day the judgement was that I got everything I wanted with my kids, and the child support order was fair. The judge DID add a maintenance obligation but it was more than fair, and Brenda and I were able to nullify it in just a few months when my ex moved another guy in (Brenda was smart enough to ask for a clause for if she moves someone in, rather than having to marry them). All in all, I CANNOT praise this woman enough. To this day, when I need legal advice I call her, and she is ALWAYS there for me. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for a lawyer. She may be a bit expensive, but by god she's worth every penny and works her ass off for it.

You will be frustrated by the lack of timely work, their unprofessionalism, and his unwillingness to stand behind his work. I have never done this before but sometimes you experience something that is bad enough you have to warn people about it. My experience was with Kent Oleen of the Oleen Law Office in Manhattan, Kansas. I was executor of Margaret Bloomquist's, my great aunt, estate. Mr. Oleen put together her trust but did not do it properly. He admitted his error and said that he would create an affidavit that would correct his error and he would do it for no charge since it was his oversight. It took several weeks and several reminders that I needed the affidavit before it was finally created. After finally receiving the affidavit I proceeded to distribute what little money Margaret had left after a lengthy nursing home stay. Weeks after getting the affidavit and distributing the funds I received a bill from Mr. Oleen for his work on the one page boiler plate document. I thought after the unprofessional handling of the matter up to this point it was just another oversight. But I was sorely mistaken; Mr. Oleen had every intention of charging me for his mistake and finally did. I have since paid Mr. Oleen out my personal account since Mr. Oleen did not live up to his word. Mr. Oleen has made an already difficult situation more stressful. I would not wish the experience I had with Kent Oleen and the Oleen Law Firm on anyone.
