I have been going to Dr Amato for almost 20 years. He is an amazing doctor with the best bedside…read moremanors. I've had to have 2 emergency surgeries using this group of doctors and they are all top notch! I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new on/gyn

My annual exam which I needed a pap was cancelled due to the snow storm, I had to call them to reschedule and the SOONEST they could get me in with the doctor was 13 months later. That's right, over a year later. I refuse to see their nurse practitioners bc they have misdiagnosed multiple members of my family (the doctors confirmed the misdiagnosis). My biggest complaint is the doctor lacked the knowledge and the follow through to find my breast cancer. It has probably been there for years and I went there over a year prior to diagnosis and she did not order a mammogram. I was 1.5 yrs away from the standard start date of a mammogram this doctor lacked the "think outside the box" ability and didn't order one just because she didn't feel any breast involvement. BUT I had an enlarged armpit lymph node which is a common first sign. Breast exams are flawed. The college of radiologist for 3 yrs have recommended changing the start date of mammograms to be 25 yrs of age. She did not mention breast cancer, she did not mention mammogram. nothing. All so she could quickly get out of the room. now I have stage 3 breast cancer. if she would have taken the time to discuss anything with me, I would have gotten a mammogram. Just find another office to go to, there are other offices Don't regret their poor care and follow through like I do.
