I transferred to column health 2017 it was closer to my house everything was great it was fairly new just opening the Arlington office Dr Karlin was great about 4 months latter he was gone so you would ask Where dr karlin with an attitude they will tell you we don't wanna talk about that no more he's gone. That's it that's when it started going down hill I mean down hill they lie to us calling in prescriptions go to pick it up at drug store and there be a prescription missing come to find out the doctor that wrote out the prescriptions wasn't authorized to fill out certain ones, but there was no other doctors around eventually you'll get it but like a week later They were tricky like that The facility I was at before for about five years. I never had a problem. Matter fact they used to call me the king because I always clean urine it was one doctor at column had a dr real bad attitude I mean bad believe me it was Dr. Ortiz these places you wanna behave because you don't wanna get thrown out you want everything going easy all of a sudden coming up bad urine which is not true after about six months of being accused of a urine that they found out they were wrong meanwhile seeing someone different every other month, it will always be short on stuff unhealthy and it's not a good place for new patients he would never get sober eventually they push my buttons enough where I retaliated back I am human doctor Ortiz is a punk so eventually I got thrown out I guess there a first time for everything I come to finding out that was the best thing that happened to me getting thrown out because now I'm at a place. It's not a problem. It's great. It's a primary care doctor. She makes you feel so comfortable. It's unbelievable where I'm at now.. i wouldn't recommend anyone to go to column health especially if you knew cause you're not gonna get sober with that kind of overhead there are some good people there at column I pray that column health gets their act together so people can get sober without a problem they shouldn't be open till they straighten out read more

Addiction treatment that does suck. Column Health was the worst place I've ever encountered to receive addiction treatment in my 10+ years in the field. Jim McIntyre the manager there was a moron, Kristina Brown was incompetent and the systems in place were atrocious. They simply could not shoulder the needs required to provide services there, which is probably why they closed ( - which they spin to be sold - ) to brightview. read more

Place is a joke if you've got anything more complex going on. Their PNP flat out refused to work with me. After I emailed the therapist to say that I needed to be seen 2x/week for specific issues, she said after a couple weeks that despite the fact that she had explicitly said she could do that she had decided she couldn't. Maybe it's better if you're dealing with dual diagnoses stuff, but hot damn was I unimpressed. Pretty shiny offices don't matter if you aren't good at dealing with actual patients. ETA to address the comments from the owner: that's fine if you can't deal with more complex issues. But then don't allow your therapists to say that you can. read more

Dr. Karlin was the only provider committed to helping me manage my depression effectively through decades of searching. I liked his easy manner and confidence that the clouds would lift with a commitment to treatment l. It really was a godsend to me. read more

I love this office. Been a patient for about a year. The best thing about it, is how super nice the staff are! I came from another office where the waiting room was a nightmare. This office is clean, relaxing, and everyone is very friendly. I've recommended two friends who also love Column Health. Shout out to Dr. Chris Mulvey, he rocks! Someone else's review says if you're late, you're out of luck. I have found the opposite to be true. I have been late, and also accidentally missed appts. They have been nothing but nice, and rescheduled me without issue. Highly recommend this office for mental health/substance issues. read more

If you are employed with a job this is not the place for you. Seems like the bigger they get the worse off it gets. There rules change like the weather and if your running late your better off rescheduling. I've been there since day 1 and in process of looking for treatment somewhere else. I understand the mission of Column Health is to facilitate full recovery from mental illness and substance abuse disorders, but this place is a NIGHTMARE! Column Health is a very DISORGANIZED start up clinic. A horrid old MESS! The doctors there are always making mistakes with prescriptions! The billing department is HORRIBLE! If you want to speak to your psychotherapist or Doctor you have to wait 15-20 mins on the phone to be told that they will call you back, and most of the time the providers Never get back to you. The psychotherapists there are very young and inexperienced. When you enter the facility the receptionist is the person who takes your vital signs and your urine which is very odd. The manager of the clinic is very rude and not welcoming, a very standoffish type of woman and made me feel even more miserable about myself when I talked to her about my issue with my provider. My experience there all and all was NOT good. My healthcare is very serious to me and I felt as though they just did not care. I am Very disappointed and a lot of other patients are also. Just don't get too attached to whoever you're seeing. The turnaround on staff at this place is ridiculous and has only gotten worse in the last couple of years. I've been a patient here since 2016 and I don't know if there's anybody left from when I started. I've seen countless therapists and doctors here and they've each left. I don't think I've gone longer than 8 months with the same person. The last few I haven't gone more than three sessions before they're gone. My most recent doctor left back in April, and since then, I've had three different doctors cancel three different appointments on me. You would think a place that is supposed to support your mental health would be more consistent and caring. read more

I wonder what their Relapse and suicide rate is? I've never seen such an unorganized office. It was described to me as a business. Detox/Mental health is a business? Not a practice? Nobody answers the phone. Hold time is very very very long just to speak to the receptionist. When you do leave a message you're lucky if they call you back 2 days later if at all. They are always late to see me. Making it a pain with my tight schedule. The front desk is always on the phone or laughing and joking with other staffers They requested I get an urinalysis on Friday for a Vitriol injection for Alcohol addiction at there Arlington location so that they could have the results for the following Monday...their lab never sent the result to the doctor. I had an 11:30am appt, arrived at 11:20am but didn't get called into David Tortorella did not see me until 11:50am and was told the visit would still be 30 minutes because he has questions to ask me. Eventually he told me that since he never got the lab results he could not give me the injection, even tho a urinalysis would not show any results if I had had a drink anyway. Additionally, the pharmacy called and left this same doctor a message asking that he confirm the delivery address, he never called them back to confirm the mailing address so they NEVER shipped my prescription to Column Health so another reason why they could not do the injection. Wasted my time and the person that drove me there on there lunch break! The therapist I was assigned to was very young and inexperienced. Did some Google searches, as if, I could not do such a thing on my own. Therapist was no help what so ever! I can't wait until they go out of "business". Currently looking for a new office and I was able to find one in Natick If you need Detox or mental hlth help, stay away. They will make your problems worse. Too many issues with this place, hard to get consistent care which is vital to treatment

Column Health saved my life! I have been a patient of theirs for over two years. I was addicted to Xanax due to a MD (not associated with Column) over prescribing them. He then retired, and I tried to wean myself off. Bad idea. I started then self medicating with other substances, and was going towards a downward spiral. I found Column through a friend, and made an appointment. They weaned me off of Xanax the correct way, and then prescribed the proper medication that I needed to address my mental health issues. So I didn't feel the need to self medicate. I have no need or want a Xanax, or any other controlled or illegal substance. I engage in my therapy. My therapist and I developed an escape plan to get away from my abusive ex husband, taught me coping skills, anger management, and organizing my thoughts. Most importantly, they taught me self love and that there IS life after addiction. I am a true believer that addiction starts with mental health. If you address the mental health issue, you will not feel the need to self medicate with your drug of choice. I engage in my therapy, I do not miss appointments. They have truly turned my life around. I am forever thankful! They have inspired me to join the fight in addiction, and tell MY OWN story in hopes I can teach and reach one. You have to be serious about recovery. Otherwise honestly, this is not a good program for you. You have to be absolutely ready to stop! As long as you engage in therapy, and go to all your appointments. Then this program will work for you. But if you're not serious about it, then you're wasting your own time and theirs as well.
