I'm a local, and this was my first visit to Comedy Cabana. After hearing all the positive reviews, I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I left wondering if we were all talking about the same place. The ticket says to arrive no later than 6:15 PM for a 7:00 PM show. We did exactly that, only to be herded into a small, overcrowded bar area for nearly an hour. There was one tiny bar trying to serve a packed room, and the bartenders moved at a pace that made the wait even more frustrating. By the time the show started, plenty of people were already visibly intoxicated. The waiting area itself felt old, dirty, and rundown. Two pool tables took up a huge amount of the available space, which made an already cramped situation even worse. Once seated in the showroom, things didn't improve. The tables are packed so tightly together that you have virtually no personal space. You're shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers the entire night. As for the comedy, there were three comedians. The headliner was fine, but the first two acts were rough. Humor is subjective, but judging by the lack of laughter around the room, I wasn't the only one struggling to find them funny. The biggest issue was the complete lack of control over the crowd. The tickets clearly state that drunk and disruptive patrons will be removed. That never happened. People were yelling, having personal conversations, talking, and creating constant distractions. At one point, a guy behind me answered his phone and carried on a full conversation during the show. Staff either didn't notice or didn't care. For a venue that emphasizes comedy, the biggest laughs of the night came from the disconnect between the rules printed on the ticket and what was actually allowed inside. As a local, I won't be back, and I genuinely don't understand where all these five-star reviews are coming from. read more

Was visiting the family who live in beautiful Myrtle Beach and at the time of my visit it was my mother's birthday and she wanted to go to a comedy club. Though I love a good comedy show, my preferred way to enjoy them nowadays has been on Netflix or even YouTube so this would be a pleasant change of pace for sure. Once you were seated in the main event space of the club you were required a two drink or two food item minimum and since I no longer drink, I was glad to find a few decent food items to enjoy during the sets. In addition to the large Sprite I had an order of their hot pretzels and the mozzarella cheese with tomato and basil. The wait staff was friendly and kept checking to see if anything was needed across the night. My mom had some kind of dip and I think my pop had the same thing. We were there to see comedian Greg Morton who secured some popularity after appearing as a contestant on America's Got Talent. He's quite good and does a number of character voices. I can say that some of his routine is a little spicy in the language dept but that didn't offend me at all. He also did some costume impressions and one of the funniest was his Tina Turner. I wasn't expecting that at all. A Gripe. Though their club policy is no refunds, a member of our party had fallen ill and was no longer coming. This is not a cancellation that should not be honored in some fashion. The person wasn't planning on being sick and its not cheap for some of the shows. The venue should have at least offered some of the entrees or a round of drinks to make good on this. It would have been nice and I ALMOST dropped my score to a "3" because of it but I chose to leave it alone. I understand policies for sure but some circumstances should be worked out a little differently. So I did have a good time but will I return? That's unlikely since I not only live so far away in NYC but I also prefer live music events, theatre and conventions over comedy happenings. Of course if its comedy or sports will go for comedy. If you really go for this stuff then you should check out the Comedy Cabana as I don't think there is another club like it. Don't quote me on that though since I can only do so much exploring in a few days visit. read more

The comedy show was great! However, we got there early for the show and had to wait in the bar area. There was a two drink/food item minimum that only applied in the comedy show/room and did not include purchases in the bar. Also the only bathroom was in the comedy room. Friday Night party of 2 Headliner: Sid Davis Hubby and I are on vacation in Myrtle Beach and decided to take in some comedy on a Friday night. I purchased tickets online and we showed up at 6:30 for a 7:30pm show. We were welcomed when we walked in the door, checked in without having to share the online confirmation number, and invited to wait for the doors to open at 7:00pm, in the bar. I ordered a gin and tonic and hubby a lava flow. Our friendly waitress also took our food order. There is a 2 item minimum so we ordered a pizza and then I had another drink. The pizza was hot and pretty yummy. The waitress closed our tab and invited us to move to the showroom promptly at 7:00. The three comedians leading up to the headliner were all pretty entertaining. We enjoyed our evening. 4/5 stars because it was annoying that the waiter kept walking in front of us throughout the entire show. We visit the comedy cabana at least once a year when we're in Myrtle Beach. It's always a fun night. We go down in March for the boys spring training for college baseball and then again in August. March doesn't always give us enough time to make it though. read more

Who doesn't like comedy? Hopefully they stepped up their food game since 2 years ago though. I had a dry, lukewarm burger with a cold bun which was a big mistake. Reminded me of the burgers served in public school cafeterias. Get your drinks yourself at the bar where a nice tip gets you a chance at a decent pour. We've never seen a bad show though and we've come at least a dozen times. read more

It was ok, but expensive! It was also lewd for the main act. We do not recommend children or young adults, go. Also they make each person in your group, place two orders for food/drinks. And those are not inexpensive, either... We had dinner and drinks before, not knowing the RULES. The first opening comedian, a regular', was putting down Trump... A hidden gem in Myrtle beach that I will now visit anytime I am back in the area! I laughed so hard I was crying while watching Greg Warren here. He was a comic on last comic standing. If you don't know who he is look him up! He's got more wholesome material for all ages. They had 4 comics that night two local and two that are traveling comics. Comedy cabana seems to do a good job booking performers. Just to be safe because they rotate comics each week it's best to not try to bring your kids because the comedy may not always be family friendly. This runs everyday of the week so you can come on a Tuesday and it will still be pretty full! While watching the show there is waitstaff that comes by your table so you can order food and drinks. John Ziegler is great. We haven't laughed that much in a while. Our server (think her name was Laura) was super nice.

2022 and another great time at the cabana. Why this place isn't slam pack full is beyond me. It has become mandatory for us to go each year. This year our headliner was Mr. Showtime. What a crazy show! He went "off script" and super interactive, it was great! Why there are empty seats is beyond me. It's sad actually. Only positive to that is our seats are always good. I can't stress enough how enjoyable the acts are here. If you are super sensitive or can't handle laughing at yourself or others out loud then ignore this place. If you CAN handle laughing at reality, the good, bad and ugly then book a show, you will enjoy it, and in this day and age, you prob need it! read more

We came with friends for the first time for a night of fun and comedy. However the main act, Mike Speenberg, was quite vulgar. There was a back and forth interaction between an audience member that got out of hand. The audience member was bullied to the point where he began to cry. We had to get up and leave. Others followed in suit. The owner of the club spoke with us and apologized for the situation which is not typical. read more

Fun night! Seating was quick and show started promptly. Enjoyed all the comedy acts " you can get baptized at chick fil a for $7.99" and the food was surprisingly good! I visited this establishment while on a get away from it all / girls weekend! The tickets, food & drink menu were reasonably priced. Everyone that we encountered were super nice and friendly! The dress is relaxed casual. They do have a parking lot specifically for their guests and it was a little tight, but we found a park without any issues. As we stood in line to come inside it was very chaotic. It appeared to be 3 lines and eventually we got to where we needed to be and were seated. We had great seats right in front of the stage so I really enjoyed that!! It is truly a great place to visit when you're in the area. We will be back!! read more

Our Uber drivers (multiple) suggested visiting the Comedy Cabana during our stay. When I went to check tickets for the 7pm show, they were already sold out - days before. So we opted for 9pm. I've been to other big named comedy shows on the East Coast and have never laughed so much. They do have a two drink minimum - which is easily feasible. Why would you not have a beverage while enjoying the show? All of the acts from opening to end were funny - which I would say is rare? Either way, I'd recommend having dinner somewhere near the Cabana and heading over in time for your show. Don't worry about standing in line for doors to open - the seats are already reserved for you. They'll ask for your name and have an usher/server walk you to your table. Great place! The decor is a bit outdated but who cares! Oh and the playlist DJ really knew how to play songs that had people get excited for the show! Enjoy! read more

We visited the Comedy Cabana for the first time last night. Each customer is required to purchase 2 items in the comedy club area, The food is way over priced and nowhere near the portions of the pictures on the menu. The wraps are made with a small tortilla and cut in half, the hamburgers are similar to a McDonalds HB off the $1 menu. They have a picture of a large slice of a 7 layer chocolate fudge cake on the menu and serve a 2 layer slliver. We ordered 2 entries; one entree was never served and was lied to as the reason why. The alcohol prices are also through the roof. The group of girls visiting from out of town next to us comented that they were also very disappointed in the food and taste. I would recommend eating dinner before you visit and only order the expensive water while watching the show. As locals, we will not visit this club again...Comedy Cabana is definately a "one and done" night out for us. read more

Comedy Cabana gets some good comics! Been there twice since moving to the beach and laughed my face off both times. Would be cool if they offered locals specials or free shows to fill the seats during the off season/weekdays. Maybe they do and I'm not aware. Went on a weeknight last time and it was pretty empty. With the 2 item minimum seems they'd come out ahead with the seats filled, but what do I know lol. I buy the general tickets and not VIP (or whatever they call tickets that have seats up front) since I don't want to be part of the show. read more

A fun spot for an evening out. Be warned "preferred seating" means you are front row. My hubby was a good sport with the comedians.

Daniel Butler is one funny dude. Affordable tickets, beautiful and friendly servers. We had just eaten dinner, so we stuck with drinks. They have a selection of basic wines, beer, and tons of cocktail options. The chairs and tables are a little tight but everyone in the room will feel like they had an intimate experience. We had one heckler repeatedly telling "Trump!" Not only did Daniel handle it well, he was escorted out quickly and quietly. All three entertainers were solid but Daniel had my sides hurting. Great comedy spot! The only downfall is you're going to see repeated opening acts. It wouldn't be a big deal if they would change up their script, but If Cooter is on the stage you are going to hear the same jokes. Other than that Comedy Cabana is a definite go to. They tell you to arrive super early , but that's not necessary as the table are assigned. I think they want you to come early with hopes that you will purchase drinks before the show. Also, they have a two purchase minimum during the show. It can be anything on the menu. Lastly, if the comedian has been on BET check them out. You won't be disappointed!!! ENJOY! read more

My biggest complaint at the venue was the very uncomfortable seating and what seemed like very cheap decor. If you're going to be seated for 90 minutes, the seats should be comfortable. read more

I have been here on at least six different occasions. The next to my last visit I was worried I was going to witness my first bad show. The first 3 comedians were mediocre at best. The Headliner came out & made up for all three of the previous comedians this night. I just attended another show on 06-04-22 and I was pretty much disappointed in all the comedians, to include the Headliner. I guess they can't all be great shows, but the odds have worked out in my favor. If your local or just visiting, I would recommend attending 2 shows with different Headliners in different months. They seem to switch emcee's and opening acts for different months, this should guarantee at least one, if not both are good shows. read more

We had the BEST time at Comedy Cabana and laughed so hard that our stomachs hurt the next day. The venue was nice and the comedians were hilarious. Some of the sets were definitely adult themed so if that is something that may offend you then you may want to sit this one out. Only complaint was that it said if you were talking or on your phone while the comedians were on stage you would be asked to leave. That happened a couple of times with two girls sitting in front of us and nothing happened even though the staff was aware. I have to give a huge shoutout to our cocktail waitress, Michelle, who was excellent. She didn't skip a beat! We will definitely go back!! Got tickets through Vacations Made Easy. Jeff @ Comedy Cabana was very accommodating. We didn't make it in for the Monday nite show because of travel and switched us to Wednesday w/o hesitation. Mike Burton was the comedian we saw. He was HELL-arious!!! His facial expressions and the way he interact with the crowd! A must see. Cyrus was one of the openers and he was funny too. There were two other comedians and Cooter who MC's Suicide Jimmy and Brian Shirley. This was one of the best yet. All three Comedians where great at crowd interaction.
