I gave it a two-star because it wasn't 100% awful. The breakfast was decent in the morning and the Wi-Fi works. I was initially in one room and that was the one with the chair and ottoman with stains all over them, the dirt or whatever it was on the bed table and the torn bed sheets. I didn't get pictures but there was also urine on the floor and the carpet and room was so filthy that when I got out of bed and walked in to take a shower my feet were black. I ended up having to stay in town for a couple more days and they switched me to another room. Because I was going to be here for a couple of days. I wanted to get some stuff so I don't have to go out all the time, but there's no microwave or refrigerator in the new room. The new room has spider webs all over it, a hole in the carpet, and a torn seat on the chair. I guess you have to say when you have a cheap hotel you get clientele that match. Last night there were people letting their kids scream and yell outside until almost midnight. No consideration for any of the guests who might be trying to get some sleep. It was pretty obvious the night before the guys were outside, smoking and drinking because it got a little crazy. If I have to come to town again I'll spend the extra money and stay someplace else. read more

This great review is for Chrisondra at the front desk. She was fabulous! She booked me into a room manually while the computers were down. The person scheduled to do breakfast did not show so she came back the next morning to do that too. Chrisondra needs a raise - better yet put her in charge of everything! The hotel is scheduled to be renovated. At the moment the air conditioning in the lobby was not working. I had a first floor room and the air conditioning was fine there. Bed was comfortable. Good location near expressway exit but would not recommend until renovations are completed. read more

I give this place another 2 years max. The receptionist(s) were nice however, the place was a constant overwhelming smell of marijuana. Front desk associates were out at 2am smoking and blasting music. Room was like a motel. Beds were nice and clean, however, took pictures of what the room service does not take care of. Hotel inside was pretty quiet, not sure how pool was or if they even had one. Elevator was not in the best shape. All hallways had a constant odor of weed. Couldn't get away from it. I am NOT one to leave a review, in fact, I never have. However this was mind blowing to me. read more

Very poor quality place to be. People smoke weed inside of their rooms and it is a non-smoking building. The lock on my door was broken and the shower in my room does not work the way it's suppose to either.. their rules for house cleaning and current tenants are sexist and demeaning. I had a woman with me in the room and when the cleaning service came up I was able to stay in my room as she cleaned.. But, when I was alone In my room and cleaning service came in I had to stand in the hallway unable to watch her or my possessions.. I am greatly saddened by this experience alone.. Breakfast service isn't all that and the dining area is very small. The gym was okay. They have good stationary bikes. read more

Let's see where to start, I checked into this hotel and went to my room to find it had never even been cleaned from the guest who previously stayed in the room... photo attached, stuff all over the floor, beds not made and trash everywhere. So I go complain to the front desk and they give me the room next door which is fine..... the tub doesn't drain so it's been hours since my shower and it's still full of water! The AC unit is worn out and every 3 mins makes a loud grinding sound so I had to turn it off to be even able to sleep. This place is a dump... avoid it at all costs! read more

I must admit, I wasn't really "looking forward" to this hotel stay. But, being as I'm tagging along during someone else's business trip (during which my main activity would "working remotely" from the hotel room), this was on someone else's expense account. We checked in with Heather who almost immediately changed my mood. She was very friendly and helpful, eager to do what should could to make sure our stay was comfortable - an extra set of towels (our room only had one) and some extra coffee was a slam dunk, and she happily dropped them off only a minute or two later for us. Not too long after midnight on our first night, my sinuses were very sure of someone having decided that the "No Smoking" signs in the hotel were only for show and could be ignored in the safety of their own room. Unfortunately, I have a somewhat severe allergy to cigarette smoke and can react to cigarettes even while driving down the road with someone smoking a few cars away. Not usually being ones to "complain," I took some allergy meds (along with some codeine) and we alerted Jeremy at the front desk. He walked over to our room and was quickly able to verify where the smoker's room, and too happy (almost insistent) about moving us. A few minutes later, he had delivered not only our keys to the new room, but had also brought a cart to help us move. This hotel also hosts free wireless, complete with multiple access points (something that many hotels seem to conveniently miss). Though the Access Points are separately named, that tends to ease some headaches with particularly stubborn wireless cards. I was able to verify that the wireless signal(s) seems strong at multiple points throughout the hotel (even if it sometimes means you might have to manually switch your WAP to a closer signal if you're pacing around the hotel - only a small headache, but for a free/strong/reliable connection, I'll take it). The hotel is also in very close proximity (read: easy walking distance) to both an Olive Garden and an IHOP (not to mention a fairly large wine shop). So, overall, I came in with a not-so-great attitude (probably doesn't help that I didn't sleep much the night before and then had a long drive to get here) but that quickly changed. However, the staff here really seems ready and able to go the extra mile, earning an extra star. And, as such, I would certainly recommend this hotel going forward. read more

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel for a weekend while we were attending a business conference. during this time, we realized that there was a stain on the comforter right away and the jacuzzi bathtub had hair from the last person that had not been properly cleaned up. we made the best of it and tried to get some food, but even in the upgraded room there was no microwave or refrigerator. be prepared to finish your food night of, there's no chance for leftovers. we also were hoping to make the best of it with the complimentary breakfast, but when we went downstairs there was a large man staring at my girlfriend and mumbling under his breath while crushing something in his hands, so we decided to opt for a nearby restaurant. we didn't feel that our belongings would be safe if we left them unattended and i went with my girlfriend to pick up a DoorDash because I wasn't sure if she'd be safe either. overall, really horrible place to stay. oh, and the parking lot has the biggest potholes I've ever seen, someone could destroy their car on them. read more

I am not recommending anybody stay here. Our room as well as other rooms that family/friends stayed in was disgusting. The room: 1) Wallpaper falling off walls 2) windows dirty 3) urine on toilet 4) tub that was also shower has a ring around it and was so slippery that we decided not to shower. 5) TV was on when we got in- come to find out remote broken and maid didn't bother to have it serviced. 6) I'm not sure if some workers live there or what- but there sure are a lot of shenanigans going on- heads up to owners- I would be watching this carefully. Smell of Marijuana flowing out of their rooms. One guy had a dog, unleashed following him around everywhere 7) carpets stained and filthy 8) tile in bathroom sticky and dirty - along with hair collected in the corners and grime ! 9) the door to our room you could see through the crack where door was supposed to seal. I am not a picky person. I don't care if a place is a bit run down but just being CLEAN is most important- which this hotel was not. read more

There was blood stains on the wall, carpets filthy, and mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. There was also a lot of shady things going on outside such as drug dealing or prostitution. This hotel is in MAJOR need of an update. Rooms have old ACs and the bathrooms are severely dated and worn. Time falling off moldings missing. The elevator isn't due to work in a month. The staff is exceptional and it's too bad they have to support such a sub par property. read more

When I first pulled there was a crowd of people just hanging out in front. The desk clerks were very nice but once I got my key It didn't work they issued a new room went in to shower and no hot water ran it for 30 min and still cold I called twice they didn't care too much said they would send someone never did ran the water for another 10 mins or so it finally got warm enough to shower. The room is decent you get what you pay for it's good enough to sleep in.. I will not return here and I don't recommend anyone to either read more

Do not stay here i checked in a room Saturday the hot tub did not work i immediately went to the front desk checked out. I wanted a refund this hotel sent me on a run around for 4 days making excuses as to why i can't get a refund i finally spoke with the hotel manager after 4days and he tells me i can't get a refund because the room was slept in which it wasn't and i got my deposit back the same night. Avoid this hotel. I tell the hotel manager i feel cheated out of my money cuz i never slept there he says oh well. One word: disgusting. It smells and is is not clean. My sheets look like they have not been washed...there is all kinds of hair on it. The bathroom feels dirty and smells like mold with a strong fruity gross air freshener. I'm cringing as I type this....yuck! Update: I called management and got a clean room. Went here over the weekend with a Groupon ad I brought a few weeks ago. I brought the Romance package which included one night stay, champagne, candy, flowers, late checkout and even a $20.00 gift card. Well upon entering hotel I was greated by very friendly staff. The presence of the place was nice. Now going to the room well it looked nice and clean. They are located right next to the freeway and next to Ihop, Olive Garden, and theres one more but it slips my mind at this time. Also Costco and Mejiers are near this hotel. I stayed here for four nights unfortunately and the it will be my last. They need to update the hotel as much as things are growing and changing in the vicinity. But my problem is the cleaning or lack there of in my room. Every day I had to go down and ask for new towels because none was in the room. Had to ask to have the bathroom floor be mopped because there was blood on the floor and it was not ours. Trash was not removed from the room for two days. The last day they did get it correct for the most part but had the nerve to leave an envelope on the beds for a tip, not from me they will not; if anything they should have been giving me something. Don't think they lady at the front desk was responsible but she was polite and courteous when I went down to complain. read more

It's more humid in the room than Florida where I'm from. Hot water is Luke warm at best. AND TODAY. They left my fucking hotel room door open for 8 HOURS! WTF!!!!! I had to leave a day early and wasn't expecting to get a refund for leaving early but the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was refunded for the nights I didn't stay. Stayed here for 3 days and couldn't be happier to leave. The breakfast was the usual plain continental breakfast however everything was clean and always stocked. The rooms at first sight are clean and spacious. Which in reality they really are however the shower didn't warm up for 20 min! So If your in dire need for a scrub then I suggest you start the tub immediately. read more

I was very disappointed with my stay at this particular Comfort Inn. I've stayed at many Comfort Inns over the years, and this was one of the worst. First off all, the window to my room was left open. Normally, this would not be an issue, but there was no screen. I later noticed that my room was full of insects (mainly mosquitoes). I think the staff should be mindful of such things. If there are no screens, don't leave the windows open. The next point: the pillows are lumpy. I am not extremely picky about pillows... but the pillows at this hotel were exceptionally bad... to the point that it was hard to sleep. It was clear that the room had been renovated within the last 5 years or so, but the cleaning was not up-to-par. I found multiple hairs in the shower. In the morning, I also went to pour myself a glass of water from a pitcher in the lobby. I quickly noticed that there were black specs floating in the water. I then went for hot water to make tea, but the water was luke warm. The positive points are that the gym is relatively well-equipped, that the hotel is centrally located and the staff is friendly (just apparently not very attentive to the upkeep of the hotel). Overall, I recommend avoiding this hotel. read more

Great rate, great stay! Rooms are clean, staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast is included with waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices and coffee is pretty good too. Food hours are 7-11am on weekend which is longer than most. Located just off I-96 with restaurants nearby. This is quite possibly the best customer service I have ever encountered at a hotel. I was totally impressed. After arriving way too early, I was told that they were still cleaning rooms (yeah it was THAT early). They never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. They were so nice! I left for a quick bite to eat, and when I came back the two ladies up front made sure they had a room ready for me. They even upgraded me! Rooms are spacious and nicely updated. The bathroom was huge, with a great Jacuzzi. Breakfast was really good too, nothing like warm eggs and sausages on a cold morning. I will definitely stay here again. read more

We were in town for a funeral; our initial plans to stay at a relative's fell through and Candy at the front desk was very sympathetic and accommodating. Great room, great bathroom, great location. The continental breakfast had more items than expected and had a good selection of hot and cold items and juices which saved us time. My spouse accidentally left her pillow behind and it was retrieved by their staff and mailed back to our residence. We sincerely appreciate the time and effort that was done to send it back to her. I WILL NEVER STAY AT A COMFORT INN AGAIN. I have never had worse customer service. I used their website to book a room. Turns out, the site booked the wrong night. So, not only did I not have a room for the night I needed, I had a room for a random date two weeks later that I never viewed or requested. According to the manager I spoke to, this happens to their website all the time. I asked to please cancel the reservation and was told that because I pre-payed, I could not cancel. This mistaken date was last night. I was 500 miles away but had to pay for a room at this unaccommodating place because of THEIR MISTAKE. Then, they treated me like I was in the wrong and told me their website doesn't make mistakes even though the woman I initially spoke with told me it happens all the time. Super unprofessional. It is my new life goal to use my far reaching influence on social media to try my best to make sure as few people as possible get scammed by these con artists. I hope they're happy with the $100 they got out of me, because they will lose FAR MORE in lost customers. read more

The hotel has recently been renovated, but the rooms are already showing wear and tear. I arrived to a room with no fridge and microwave, at $90 i expected at least that. The tv channels were fuzzy, and the room smelled of smoke. I called the desk, and got no answer so i walked to the clerk, but she was preoccupied in the managers office with him. Bobby, the maintenance man took care of all the room problems, and assured me that he would let the mangers boss know that i was upset. He was the friendliest employee there, very helpful. I told him if i ever were to stay in the area again, i would stay here only because of his kindness. He informed me that he was leaving the hotel. So for the manager that reads this, you are losing your best employee, and a customer. read more

Thank you Brittany for being kind when I was completely stressed out, having left my tablet wrapped in the bed sheets. I wouldn't have had to use my tablet as I was passing out if I was able to watch the Red Wings on your basic cable... but, alas, lousy analog signal on the large flat screen, and no channels like Fox Sports... so I am watching the Wings on my tablet, pass out, and leave it right there as I walk out in the morning. For a cheap hotel (shop pricing on all the regulars) this place is quite nice. Very clean, comfortable beds, free spotty wifi, relatively smell free, good breakfast, and a staff, not all as sweet as Brittany, who called me back at midnight to tell me she found my tablet. Thank you to housekeeping for not absconding with my tablet, like they did with my Clark shoes a month earlier, and saving me the hassle of sending over CSI to find my tab. So, thanks Brittany. I've stayed at this hotel more than 2 dozen times. The hotel management is always there it seems like. The desk help is very friendly and nice. I love that this hotel has a laundry and work out room in the basement. Everything that I request within limits is usually granted. The area is very busy but there is a lot of things in the surrounding miles as in restaurants, bars, shopping, ect. I've only ever had 1 issue here but it wasn't really their fault. The toilet started leaking however they apologized and upgraded my room. This isn't a 5 star hotel but I've had better experiences here then I've had at hilton or hampton. read more
