It's the comfort station. It's cool and in Logan, you can chill there, and there's art there sometimes... what's not to like about that!

The building is pretty unassuming on the outside and looks a lot smaller than it actually is. Once you're in, the main space indoors is a big open bar with some tables/booths and places to sit but also a lot of standing room. There is a big drink menu that is projected onto the wall that is pretty beer heavy, but there are some other options for non beer drinkers! I got a jalapeno ranch water that was really good. There is a large patio space that looks so fun for the summer. The concert venue is in the back. It's pretty small, but perfect for more intimate shows. We had so much fun!! This place really is such a gem, and I can't wait to come back for some drinks on the patio when the weather warms up.

We sat at the bar, because it's my default settings or my AuDHD need for routine. Very attentive bartender who greeted us right as we sat down. I'll be honest. I ordered a gin and tonic. My estimation is that this G&T was 75% tonic. I didn't say anything because I don't know what to say. I also do not like confrontation. The venue itself is fantastic! We were there to see KING MALA. ADORE EVERYTHING ABOUT HERE. My boyfriend sprung for VIP tickets. I have no money but meeting her was amazing. Highly recommend seeing a chow here. Intimate, great sound, and a bar inside who made me an on point G&T!

What a fun little restaurant/bar and venue…read more Parking is a little harder as it is in Chicago and these are neighborhood streets. We went with another couple who miraculously found parking right in front. Had it been warmer out, we could have sat outside for dinner. This bar has been around for decades and they haven't lost their spark yet. I think they're just getting ready for the summer and a lot more fun. We ventured here from the suburbs to see a friend's cousin's band called 76th Street. So we went early, enjoyed some drinks and dinner, and then made our way into the venue in back. Beat Kitchen has a lot of beer options (fir those who like beer) with a mix of mainstream, local brews, and some IPAs. They did have a cider (dry) that didn't interest me, but they had a drink of the night that seemed good and I ordered that. The bartender knew what they were doing as it was delicious. I next ordered the burger, but seriously almost got a salad. They both looked great. However, I saw a burger at another table and that sealed the deal. Perfectly cooked and toppings were fresh. Next we headed into the venue. It was loud, but not too loud. As it filled with concert goers, it got warm. Some couples were making out in front of us and it was awkward. Thankfully security broke em up as, hello, it was awkward! It's a cool place to catch a show and they did accommodate us with some chairs as we are a little older (in our 50s) and the crowd was barely in their 20s. It was a fun night and well worth visiting for food and drinks, even if you are seeing a concert.

Sound is good when the sound board engineer is paying attention. In between sets we decided to have lunch. We tried their Cheese Quesadilla,Beat Burger with pepper jack cheese and Thai pizza. Surprisingly the food was pretty solid with the winner being the Thai pizza. Very unique.... bursting with flavors. Bathroom location could be better plus they need to be cleaned. Parking in the Rosco Village is always a challenge. If looking for live entertainment almost every night if the week, give The Beat Kitchen a visit.

"Welcome back." I…read morehesitate. I know with absolute certainty that I have never stepped foot in Chicago. Yet, the bartenders greet us with such a warm and friendly energy that I know with absolute certainly that I have been a regular at this bar for years. Decades. Centuries. I know within my soul that this was my go-to bar in a past life (and hopefully in the next). Just as welcoming as the awesome people are the $1 PBRs and $3 shots of tequila. And of course they hand out free hot dogs every night at midnight, which in my (intoxicated) mind was cemented as the definitive Chicago dog, even if it comes with no toppings whatsoever. And fittingly complementing the amazing energy of the bar is a 10 hour Youtube video of that memed Ukrainian kid dancing at a club playing endlessly on the TVs. Rocking sunglasses and looking like a stud, absolutely grooving without a single care in the world, and effortlessly matching every single song on the bar's playlist. That kid truly embodies the spirit of this bar. No matter what day it is, what time of day it is, or who visits, the bar's energy always works. Vibing to Black Eyed Peas on a Monday night never felt better. Imma be... back one day, rest assured. I genuinely can't wait for the next time I'm greeted with, "Welcome back."

We sat in the back patio area. The patio was covered and heated, supposedly. It was cold back there to me. They have $30 bottomless mimosas for brunch from 11-3. I ordered the chicken sandwich and added an egg. I also had the hot tots that came with queso dip. The food was really good actually. The chicken sandwich surprised me at how flavorful it was. Service was okay. The kitchen seemed swamped, so it took awhile for food to come out. They didn't check on us super frequently. Overall, the food was good, and the people that I went with enjoyed the bottomless mimosa deal.
