I had booked another reservation for this coming weekend but I received a phone call a while ago that they had given the handicapped room to a guest that checked in today that is staying for 9 days. I stayed there a week. Not a bad place. When you're not working, hanging out at the hotel, you watch TV. The TV channel package is pretty lame. I've stayed in chain motels with satellite TV. The breakfast was ok, but exactly the same stuff every morning. Housekeeping was terrible. They would get my used towels, but not replace them. I had fresh towels 3 out of 7 days. They didn't empty my waste basket even once. It could be a very good place with improved housekeeping and a little variety at breakfast. My immediate family and I always stay here when we visit our extended family in Kilgore and really love this place. We've spent many Christmases, New Years, and July 4th weekends here and really appreciate the kind and generous staff. When we were there on July 4th, one of the staff members personally helped my older and not-very-tech-saavy grandmother reach me after forgetting my cell number and calling the front desk instead. She went above and beyond the call of duty in making sure my grandmother reached me - even personally walking over with the hotel's landline phone. All the staff we've worked with over the years (~5+ years) have been fantastic. Our rooms are always very nice, clean and quite spacious with a large bathroom and shower! The free breakfast is always tasty (especially the Texas-shaped fresh waffle) and the "happy hour" was an unexpected treat! Looking forward to staying here again at the next family holiday. Great location near the Wal-Mart and walkable to Chili's when we need a drink after all the family time (just kidding - I love y'all!). read more

This used to be my favorite place - it was beautiful and clean and professional. What happened? I have probably stayed here 10+ nights over the past few years, and it's not always perfect, they've had storms over the years, but WOW it was bad this time - May 2021. Upstairs, some thresholds were missing from the doors. Dead roaches. Walls / lack of walls covered in large swaths of plastic. Lumpy bedding. Worst part of this stay: Breakfast in a bag is just fine under the circumstances but imagine getting out on the road, getting to the fruit at the bottom of your bag and grabbing this green, rotten orange? There's no excuse. I had selected to pay with Choice Hotel points+ cash and instead the desk used all points. I tried to leave a private review via the Choice Hotels app and website. Funny how the great stays always send a followup email asking for a review and the bad stays don't give you that option. read more

My son stayed here for 6 nights while he visited myself and his great-grandmother. It was wonderful and they were very accommodating. It was very clean and comfortable. My son went to the Shakespeare festival and wanted to be sure he was close to Kilgore College. I was concerned with safety. He had no problems there. We stayed at the Comfort suites this weekend. We checked in went to our room. Found that the television wouldn't work and neighbors above were quite loud. Went downstairs to let staff know. Tols her we would be happy to change rooms if no one was there to troubleshoot and repair television. I was informed that couldn't happen since housekeeping had already left for the day. Explained that we hadn't touched to room, sat on bed or used the restroom. Also advised her that the neighbors above were loud. She told me to go back to room and she would contact supervision. Within 10 minutes, we received a call telling is that we could change rooms. We made sure the room that we were vacating was in checkin condition and moved out things to our new room. The room was clean and the television did work. This hotel jas a hot tub, which was the main reason that we book a room for our stay, however upon check in was told that it wasnt working. We were very disappointed as we were looking forward to relaxing tired and sore traveled muscles. Would we stay again? Yes if the hot tub worked. read more

Breakfast is great. Rooms are nice. Personnel are friendly. And the first time I stayed here the internet service was great. And I usually stay for a month at a time due to my job. This time however, the internet service is spotty at best and nonexistent at worst. The first night there was an accident in the neighborhood involving the electricity. This in turn effected the internet service. When it it came back I only had two bars when before I had three. Now the service goes in and out while I'm using it. I addressed this with the hotel several times and the only thing they did was turn it off and back on. No change. Now the internet usually wouldn't be a big enough deal for the average customer to write a review, but I stay here for weeks at a time read more

I had the unpleasant pleasure of coming to this awful low budget Inn and encountering the most rude and awful customer service EVER on Good Friday. The owner Raheda Patel gives the Choice Hotels a bad look. After being overcharged for a two night stay, the hotel clerk, who was new, attempted to correct her error by calling the owner, who not only talked to her in a demeaning way but attempted to have that same unprofessionalism towards me via phone. She cursed me and attempted to put my husband and our children out the hotel that we never could get checked in. This low level motel is a joke and I wouldn't recommend letting my enemies stay here. So many other nicer places in the area. The coward never showed her face but had the audacity to call the police who arrived only to confirm that the Owner was rude to all and treated people like crap. He stated that he has been to her hotel several times for the same issue and was not surprised with her unprofessional behavior! So if you are reading this DO NOT BARTER at this low level Inn. I have reported her to Choice hotel group and have plans to file other complaints. Take heed, and be weary about spending your dollars at this LOW LEVEL INN! Thanks! read more

Who knew a Comfort Inn in Kilgore Texas could provide such first-rate service along with nice, clean rooms, free internet, and a a very tasty free breakfast? The staff was helpful and pleasant at all times. Our room was a nice size, with a large bathroom and a good, hot shower. There were two free computers in the lobby for guests to use. We plan to stay here again the next time we are in Kilgore. read more

I stopped here for a night with my mom while moving to Texas from North Carolina. There are several motels in the area, but my mom wanted to stay somewhere where we could get a good night's sleep to finish up the next day's drive. It cost us $90 for the night. The room was really nice, both beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was large. The staff was very friendly and there was even a small breakfast downstairs in the morning. There seems to be a train everywhere in Texas, and Kilgore is no exception, but the comfort of the room allowed for a good night's sleep. read more
