Stopped by Commonwealth on Fremont Street with my wife, and it quickly became one of our new favorites. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was electric -- great music, awesome crowd, and the bartenders were top-notch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We couldn't resist trying their world-famous habanero pickle back, and it did not disappoint -- spicy, bold, and exactly what we needed. This spot is definitely staying on our Vegas must-visit list. Highly recommend checking it out when you're downtown!

Commonwealth is an awesome venue on the corner of Fremont street and conveniently located beside a parking lot [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a huge venue with 2 stories so great for larger groups of people[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And did you know they often have burlesque shows here too???

No ears just earrings like in my ID

Came in tonight 4/28 because a local friend recommended for the music. The first security guard we encountered was very nice and right before he was going to let us in, another bouncer with shoulder length hair and ear tunnels came out the door and declared that my REAL California ID was a fake because he "couldn't see my ears in my picture" which, huh? When I stated that it was real and that in the 4 almost 5 years I've had my current ID I've never been told it looks fake, or have had any other issues including when using it to travel internationally. To which he replied "No, I know it's a fake" and I asked if the had scanners and he said "No, we are certified ID checkers, I do this everyday". So me being the determined person who loves to prove people wrong, especially when I KNOW they are wrong. I went looking for a police officer to scan my ID. When I found the cops they immediately said it looked real but they would scan it for verification. When it came up clear and REAL the cops drove over to let the bouncers know. So pretty much they are letting people in and not based on how they feel. I only stayed to prove a point as my friends said because the bouncer was so rude and adamant about my "deception"that we should leave. While we were there they played good music and the DJ and bar tenders were nice but the one guy at the front definitely needs an ego check. Also I'm attaching a picture that I took this same night, where you STILL can't see my ears, sorry my ears don't stick out to the side but have a VALID way of checking before you call somebody a liar, lucky he didn't try to throw it away or destroy.

Can I give more than 5 stars???? I was looking for a nice place to celebrate a birthday with my wife and some friends. This is hard to do, and surprisingly so! We live in the Entertainment Capital of the US. So finding a nice place , not to clubby, or overrun with singles looking to "Hook Up" where adults can relax, dance and enjoy the evening is more than challenging. Not going to a bunch of places like this it's hard to tell from websites and reviews. For some reason when. I reached out to Zokie, he answered my concerns and made me feel pretty confident that this spot would work out! He was super accommodating and advised us as to the main floor vs rooftop for the comfort level we were searching for! So we made the table reservations and set our sights on the Birthday event! When we arrived they had already sat some of our friends without questioning, which is great as this was a surprise situation. When we arrived i was introduced to Rebecca, who was our server! To say she took care of us is a gross understatement, she excelled at meeting our needs! She took care of my group of 12 with ease and a smile! She never left me waiting for a drink, and at my request kept plenary of waters handy! We danced for hours, the DJ was perfect. He mixed several styles and genres together to it was constantly pumping but not "trans music " annoying. The bar is also large, very stylish and unique! The pictures do not portray the class of the place, as I mentioned earlier! For a fFriday PM they kept the crowd at an energetic but not crammed-overcrowded level! Pleased beyond words! I recommend whole heartedly that if you are looking for the right spot to celebrate, large event or small, you would be hard pressed do better than The Commonwealth!

This is one of my favorite clubs. I love how it has two levels because it's like being in two clubs for the price of one. If you're from vegas you're going to see one or two people you know, because everyone and their mom's is there. The line for the bathroom is never that bad. And they're also pretty maintain, there is always a super nice lady their helping you out. They sell anything you possibly need in the bathroom. The prices for the door do change, but for the most time it's free for girls during certain times or up to $40.

Nice, quaint venu in Downtown's East Fremont area. Very walkable with lots of other places around to enjoy. We had a large group, Enterprise Bank, who booked the venue for a couple of hours with a networking event. There was a TV screen that we could view, a photo backdrop, a table with goodie bags, and plenty of comfy seating and room to stand. The bar is large and we were able to get lots of yummy drinks. It looked like there was a rooftop area too, although we didn't use it. Outside, there is not immediate parking too close, but my ride was able to drop off and pick up on the side with ease.

I have been wanting to go to this bar for a while now but it's always so busy, this time I made a reservation for the piano bar on a saturday night. The piano is bar is just so beautiful and luxurious with the chandeliers. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks, the bartenders are just awesome and make great drinks and are very friendly. When 10pm came we tried to go into the rooftop bar and this is where I am very disappointed on Commonwealth. We were told by security that we are not able to go up without a stamp, which we can get for $20 a piece , it didn't seem fair since we had spent a significant amount of money in the bar already but we said ok fine. Then we were informed that we must go out of the bar get in the long line and pay then to get in again. It really bothered me because we were inside already , it didn't make any sense so we decided to leave. I really like the bar and the staff but it's not worth to go and spend money and try to spend even more in the other bar and we are told to go back outside and wait. According to the security it's a management rule , i hope this changes in the future.

    Event advertised.

    Ask the Community - Commonwealth

    What is the dress code?

Our dress code allows for jeans, tee shirts, sneakers, dress shorts and fashionable club attire. It does not allow for jerseys, sleeveless shirts, any athletic wear (which does include leggings and yoga pants), sandals, flip flops or beach or pool…

What type of music do they play on Friday & Saturday nights?

We have a DJ in our main room and our rooftop patio on weekends. Both play open format which vibes to the crowd in each room.

Is there currently a dj on the weekends?

We have a DJ in our main room and rooftop patio on weekends starting at 10 pm.

    Is it 21+?

Yes, we are a 21+ only establishment.

Is Happy Hour still 7-9, Tuesday through Friday? What's the HH menu like? Thanks!

Happy Hour is 7 pm to 9 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings with discounts on well drinks and select draft beers.

I know commonwealth is open, is there any dj? any dancing allowed? is the rooftop open yet?

There is a DJ. Unfortunately no dancing is allowed. The rooftop remains closed for the moment.

As of 6/13 is commonwealth open again?

Yes, it is open. Currently they are only opened on the ground level with a limited capacity.

How do I make a reservation for the laundryroom?

702-701-1466. Text that number and ask politely for reservation!

Is there a cover charge on Thursday nights?

Commonwealth does not charge a cover Tuesday through Thursday evening for our main room. We do have promoters and select DJ’s that we utilize on our rooftop patio that do charge a cover from time to time. I hope this information helps.

Do they ever have karaoke nights?

No karaoke ever....trivia on Tuesday is as close as allowing public to perform any type of entertainment

    What's the smoking policy?

I'm glad you ask! That's one of the things I love about this place; no smoking indoors. So smokers have to go outside or rooftop patio. And yes, people smoke cigars too.

Is there really a cover charge for guys to get in? And extra for the rooftop? Sounds ridiculous.

some nights they do have a cover charge (usually Saturdays). If you arrive before 9 you can usually avoid any cover. Most nights there is no charge.

    Is there a dress code?

Not really, it gets a very wide range crowd, mostly dressed nice casual but since there is dancing and live music, and a proximity to freemont experience, you see all types.

Is there a bullring an hook pub game in the upstairs bar area?

They removed it a few months ago to make room for a beautiful, new painting!

What are the happy hour hours? Are they different for different days of the week?

    I believe it's 7-9PM, all days that they're open.

Walked in at around 8:30/9pm and it was pretty dead. My friend and I were able to secure a booth, which felt intimate. It was ample space for 2 people but I can imagine if you had 4 people you'd feel squished. My friend ordered the Naked & Afraid and I ordered the Tropical Howler with vodka. Both of our cocktails were amazing and we'd order them again. If you like sweet cocktails, Tropical Howler is definitely for you. We both ordered a shot of the Mind Eraser, which had coffee liqueur I believe, I am not sure but you could taste the coffee and it was pretty good. Our bartender gave it to us with straws so you could probably sip it like a cocktail or take it like a shot. We liked the vibes in here due to its dark and intimate feel. We probably would have gotten a different vibe if we didn't have our own booth. I would come here again!

As someone who loves all things quirky and unusual, The Golden Tiki has always been right up my alley. When a friend came into town and wanted to celebrate her boyfriend's birthday, I thought it would be the perfect place to kick off our evening. I was able to make an online reservation just a couple of days in advance, which was quick and painless. What I didn't realize was that they offer a weekday happy hour and live music! We were seated in "Bull***t Corner," which turned out to be the perfect spot. We had a great view of both the bar and the entertainment, making for a lively and entertaining atmosphere. Also, can't forget to mention the service. The hosts were fun but our actual server was absolutely hysterical and fit right in with the fun. She kept us laughing throughout our visit, while also being incredibly attentive. Despite the busy atmosphere, she made sure our drinks were flowing, checked on us regularly, and made sure everything was taken care of. It's not often you find someone who can be both entertaining and genuinely great at their job, but she pulled it off effortlessly. Our guests were genuinely impressed, and everyone had a fantastic time. The drinks were excellent as always--I honestly don't think I've ever had a bad cocktail here. I haven't had the chance to try their food yet, and we decided to stick with a few drinks since we already had dinner reservations elsewhere, but after this visit, I definitely plan on coming back on a weeknight to order from the food menu. If you're looking for a fun, unique Vegas experience with great drinks, and plenty of personality, The Golden Tiki is always a solid choice.

We were seated at the bar and had a nice time interacting with the cocktail craftsman/man in charge, Davey. The menu is his creative brainchild and changes a few times a year, with the current one based on the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. There's a 90 minute limit and 2 drink minimum per guest. Because of the craft and attention to detail that goes into each cocktail, we finished our 2 drinks just about right at the 90 minute mark. I really enjoyed both of my cocktails but the one that stood out to me the most was Strange Medicine. It was reminiscent of a martini but with Brie-washed Old Bison vodka, Cocchi Americano, and herb oil. It was so good that I wasn't sure what drink to choose next, but Davey was helpful with a great recommendation for another cocktail served with a chunk of parmesan cheese on top. Keep in mind that you're paying for the experience and the level of craft. So with a 2 drink minimum it won't be a cheap experience but it's definitely something worth checking out for the unique, creative cocktails.

Pro: Fear and Loathing menu, updated furniture, yummy drinks…read more Con: Not the previous Laundry Room you remembered, glorified tourist trap, lack of atmosphere control. Slow drink service. The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.

We were sat at a super cute table (there were 4 of us) and looked through the menu. The decor was super cute! Sort of old vintage looking couches around some tables, dim lighting, I loved the vibe. We each ordered something different from their cocktail menu from our very nice server. While waiting for those, our friend went to close out the tab and ordered shots, but asked for something that would be good. They proceeded to give us something with muddled strawberries, I was blown away at how good it was! Best shot I have ever had, so fresh. I love when you give bartenders freedom to play and create something so good! Our cocktails were so interesting and very tasty. I'd love to come back when we have some more time and try some of the other drinks. Everything about this place was amazing to me! Vibe, staff, the drinks, I had a great time!

The indoor space is sexy and dark, beautifully designed with lots of velvet and rich textures all around. In a cool contrast, the back patio is a bright, vibrant mix of pink, turquoise, and white. While you're out there, be sure to snap a picture in their photo booth! The staff here is simply INCREDIBLE! They are always so welcoming and do a fantastic job of helping walk you through the menu. Because the cocktail menu changes frequently with unique, rotating themes, you get a completely fresh experience every single time you visit. On my last trip, the theme was music through different eras of time, which was easily one of my favorites yet. They also have standard house cocktails, be sure to check out the punch of the day! Before you leave, don't forget to check out their cool merch and swag, which is beautifully framed up on the wall right behind the bar. No matter where you are staying in Vegas, make sure to put Velveteen Rabbit at the very top of your destination list!

The atmosphere is sophisticated and intimate, making it the perfect spot for a high-end night out. Our server, Jessica provided top-notch service, she was professional, attentive, and incredibly welcoming throughout the evening. They even surprised us with complimentary snacks and cocktail shots, which was such a generous and thoughtful touch that made our night feel even more special! The small bites we ordered were also absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with our drinks. Sure, it is known; however, it was surprisingly not that busy for a Friday. We were seated at a shell like booth and this space between the back side of the Players Club and the Cash cage, is a lovely and elegant place. Is it expensive? yes. Most other fine establishments are also expensive in Vegas. It is what it has become. Is that good? Probably not; however, it does give you the opportunity to experience something unique and special. Although we had one server, the servers worked very well together throughout our 90 minutes here and really team assisted with each other. Between the two of us, we had three drinks. You can page through the very detailed menu, and I decided to have the Passion's Serenade drink, which was a glass partially frozen with a coconut and passionfruit puree and then also had some chocolate rum, vanilla and fresno chili. It was a delicious drink, and actually was a great "sit back and wait" drink, because it took a while for the frozen portion to melt. The experience comes with some complimentary bar snacks and then some complimentary mini jello shots on the way out. The check is presented in an exquisite "Vault" Type of book. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would return again in the future. Expect drink prices to range from about $30 to $70, with some even higher for the "market price" drinks.
