After years of continuous headaches, stiff necks and lower back pain, I made decision to see a chiropractor and was referred here. After comprehensive exam and x-rays from Dr. McEvoy many years ago, I made the decision to commit to care at Community Chiropractic and have never looked back. I am pain free, my posture has improved significantly and my body is now in tuned to know when it's time for an adjustment. This practice provides everything from muscle stimulation, heat and ice treatment as well as flexion prior to adjustments, if that is the recommended treatment. I have been to many other chiropractors who just call you in an office, crack your back and neck and you're on your way. That is absolutely not the case here. Dr McEvoy and his team teach their patients how to extend their care and improve their health outside of their office Not only has his care significantly improved my health and wellbeing, he has helped my husband with relief of a long life history of migraines and sciatica. Very friendly staff , same day appointment. Clean , neat environment (one of the staff was going around cleaning ) which I personally thought was really good. Then you meet Dr. McEvoy and he is one of the coolest yet professional people that you will ever meet. Have been going here for over 6 years. Dr. McEvoy is one of the best chiropractors I have ever been to. He is caring, thorough, and explains everything in detail. I wouldn't trust my back to anyone else. I even had him adjust me all throughout my pregnancy and it was the best thing I could have done. I have only wonderful things to say about Dr McEvoy and the entire staff. I have had some back issues for as far back as I can remember and had a Chiropracter I was seeing since I was a kid with scoliosis. I would still go to him from time to time when I got a kink here or there but when I moved to deer park he was kind of far away and definitely kind of old school with his approach. I drove past community chiropractic all the time and decided to check it out when I found myself w a back issue from lugging my baby around in her baby carrier and all of the baby stuff that comes with it. I've been going there for about 7 years now. What I really love about dr McElroy (and other drs that he's had working in his practice over the years) is his wholistic approach. It's not just about fixing the symptom, but the process of building, strengthening, correcting, and the entire mind/body connection....awareness of how everything works together. He's not just about a quick fix, but the preventative care to help avoid some of those problems. Our bodies are amazing! Sometimes getting my neck adjusted cures a dull headache I've had for a few days...sometimes stress makes an old back issue flair up...I now seek preventative care so when a larger issue arises my body is in a better position to heal itself. My posture is better, along with my understanding of how everything works together. The space is open and warm. Easy conversation flows and staff will know you by name. My experience here was excellent. I came here with back pain hoping for a solution. When I arrived, I was greeted by a kind and welcoming staff, eager to help me with my issue. I was seated in the room and soon after, I met Dr. McEvoy. Since it was my first time at a chiropractor, he educated me on chiropractics and my back problem in very easy-to-understand terms. Last month I came across Community Chiropractic Care through Zocdoc and boy am I glad I did! The office has a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, which is a direct reflection of how Dr.McEvoy and Dr.Brown treat and interact with their patients. I've seen each of them for adjustments and they both go above and beyond in making sure you are comfortable while you wait and that your overall wait time is minimal. On top of being exceptional chiropractors, they are both extremely down to earth and enjoy catching up with their patients and sharing some laughs! They are not like some of the other chiropractors you meet that try and nickle and dime you or up-sell you on long expensive chiropractic programs. I have been around Chiropractic all of my life and have seen many chiropractors as I am a very active sports enthusiast, and tend to act like I'm in my 20s still , although I am in my 40s. I have to say that any and every time I have ever seen Dr. Rob, I was left feeling better and with more energy than before. I even feel better after talking with staff to set up an appointment as they are always so positive and helpful. If you ever consider chiropractic care and want to feel cared for and feel better, there is no better office to visit. If I could give zero stars I would. I started going to community chiropractic after I decided to receive a professional opinion regarding a breast reduction. After paying $300 for X-rays and an adjustment, I decided it might be worth my time if it was going to help me receive the surgery I wanted. After a lot of empty promises, I soon found out that I would need to be seen for months and months before I'd get my letter of recommendation for the surgery. After telling the doctor I couldn't afford to keep up with the treatment plan, I was soon after treated like dirt. Not to mention I had to discuss my finances and my breast issues in front of other patients since the doctor didn't even have the decency to discuss this with me in a private room. I feel so disrespected and used for my money, not to mention completely worthless like no one ever really cared about the pain I was in. It really sucks that I wasted all of that money just to have to start over with a new provider. Not to mention I was told I'd need to pay another $200 at the end of the 6 month treatment for the letter..like I'm made of money. It's just sad that customer service really doesn't exist anymore and that you can't get the same support from a doctor that you used to without emptying your wallet to pay for their Mercedes. Meanwhile if he would have just adjusted my treatment plan and stuck to his word and gave me the letter, I'd still be a patient there. I didn't have issues with any of the other staff, they're all very friendly. Such a shame. read more
