How you don't know HIPPA laws as an healthcare provide. After requesting a copy of my records, I was informed that it is their "protocol" to withhold results until I speak directly with the provider. When I referenced my right to access my records under HIPAA, I was told I was incorrect. While I understand providers may prefer to review results with patients, this should not be a requirement to release records. Patients have the right to access their own health information, and being given conflicting information made the process unnecessarily difficult. Communication was limited to phone calls and a general contact form, with no clear way to reach a medical records or compliance representative. This made it challenging to resolve the issue efficiently. I hope the office reviews its policies and staff training to ensure patients are given accurate information about their rights and a more straightforward process for accessing their records.

She has an amazing bedside manner and made me feel like I was part of the family. She really cares about her patients and I will continue to come here for all my medical/psych needs. I was a patient at Dr. Cathy Delerme-Pagan's Baisley Medical Services PC office and would not…read morerecommend it. I really appreciate that the staff was diverse, but their communication & timekeeping could not be far from the worst. On my first appointment, I was not seen by the nursing staff to take my vitals until 1.5 hours later. They were all very kind, comforting, and helpful in running tests, doing blood work, and taking vitals but I was never actually seen or spoken to by the actual doctor. On the second visit, I was scheduled for a follow-up visit via telehealth virtual appointment with Dr. Delerme-Pagan and was assured virtual visits would be held at the same priority as in-office appointments. Dr. Delerme-Pagan never showed and I had to call 6+ times to reach a very unhelpful, offsite receptionist, who claimed to forward my information to management only for me to never hear back. I appreciate the communication, but was very annoyed that the same offsite receptionist called 6 times 48 hours before both appointments to confirm me yet the timing was an issue with both appointments on the office's end. I understand that 'things happen,' it doesn't seem that they value their patients' time and I hope they work to improve these things to make for a better patient experience for all.

My new insurance company appointed this "Urgent Care" as my primary Doctor, but hadn't sent my insurance card. I showed them my first bill with account # which they could have looked up to confirm. The sweet receptionist called her manager to approve who basically told me to drop dead. The apologetic, professional receptionist told me I should go to the emergency room which is what I did. People in the medical field take an oath not to turn away those in need of medical care. This was unprofessional, rude and just plain evil. That old lady should be fired, but she's probably a family member since this is a "family operation." BEWARE!

Finding a health center that doesn't charge an obscene amount of money to be seen is always a struggle. It was the closest, same-day appointment center I found on Yelp. They take several types of insurance, including mine which only charged a $10 copay. They even have their own app where you fill out your symptoms and payment information right there. Once I arrived, all I had to worry about was not coughing on the doctor! I got a prescription filled at the in-house pharmacy and was on my merry way about 30 minutes later.
