The staff, education, and overall experience were horrible. This school has so many problems, and I want to start with the staff. They're all lazy and lack the specific intelligence needed for their jobs. They have told my parents that they were too busy to help my younger brother be able to graduate. This is stupid, as they have a designated time called office hours to help improve students' grades, and my brother hasn't gotten the help he needs , especially because he has an IEP. They assured my parents that they would help him, but, as I said, there has been nothing. Something I found funny was that a counselor asked if I could tell my boss to change my hours just so she could schedule my off period to whatever worked faster for her. Aside from the unintelligent staff, the policies they have for students are even more ridiculous . They have 90-minute classes but give students 60 minutes or less for lunch. Recently, they have instituted hallway sweeps, only giving students 5 minute passing periods. It used to be 7 minute passing periods, making it harder for students to succeed. I also thought it was dramatic to have phones be put in a bin. I personally believe senior year should be the time when seniors prepare for life after school, teaching them how to be responsible, respectful, and what life will be like after high school, especially in a job setting. I feel that having my phone in a bin is childish, unnecessary, and does not prepare any senior for responsibility. There is obviously a lot more wrong with the school, but I'm not gonna waste any more of my time, so what I think is I don't recommend this school it's horrible if I could give 0 stars and still write this review I would.

This personally resulted in 2 medical incidents for my child at Everbrook within 48 hours of each other, the second requiring a stay at the ER. The response from the admin, Angalissa, was that it was not her fault and the other caretaker in the room was picking his nails not helping. The director, Marla stopped talking to us once she realized they could be held liable. This was in the infant room. While there are perhaps a handful of staff that try and are kind, they have such a high turnover of staff, people will not know your child, they will not provide consistency or structure, they will not thrive and for our child, he almost didn't survive. Everbrook has taken no accountability. They are under current investigation by Denver HHS and the state licensing board. Have previously been on probation. And the video system is a "guise" of safety. It conveniently purges in 48 hours, so if your child gets hurt, they will have no record of it so they can't be held liable. Run away. Do not walk.

Once we knew she was suppose to have this skill by first grade, we taught her the sounds of the alphabet in two weeks. Still, her reading was behind the other kids and it took a full year to catch her up. After attending a graduation ceremony, we felt it would be detrimental to her self esteem if we held her back. When I told the owner, Lori and Director, Shawn, they didn't believe me. They said kids don't always show their parents what they really know. I had to demand they test her and when the owner did, she apologized because we were right. She offered to have one of their teachers work with our child, but since they couldn't get the job done in three years, we weren't wasting any more time here. We are involved parents. We attended their 5 day meetings about how Montessori teaches your children. We attended our parent/teacher conferences and when I voiced some concern over our child not being able to write her name, the teacher told me to "keep working with her". I wonder if the parents who are happy with this place are teaching their kids at home and it's not the "school" doing the teaching. After doing much research, we learned that this "school' typically didn't have the staff required by law for the number of students per adult. In addition, they clearly don't monitor the kids skill level. The education varies from class to class. Some kids are sent home with books to read, others are not. We now realize some of the "work" they gave us which we were told our child did, the teacher actually did. In particular, there was a map of North America which obviously wasn't done by our child. I found the owner, Lori and the Director, Shawn, to be unprofessional and rude (especially the owner Lori). The employees seem unhappy if you get to know them. This is more of a daycare than a school. I do not recommend sending any child here if you want them to learn the skills needed to be successful in the local public schools. They gave a good sales pitch, but they don't live up to it. I noticed Yelp removed the other poor reviews. I wonder if they'll keep ours up, which is true and we have receipts proving our child attended this "school".
