I have to say I had my oxygen machine for close to 2 Years I suppose and the first time ever happened was the screaming alarm sound and they exchanged it promptly. Amazing though, this gentleman gave me some necessary information! For starters, I need to change the tubing at least every 2 to 3 weeks! Do you know I had the tubing on for over a year! When they originally brought the machine to me, they didn't explain anything to me! Mind you I hadn't been dependent on it until now that I'm getting constant upper respiratory infections. Anyway, the second time I needed a replacement machine was the same issue, alarm sound. They brought me a 5L instead of a 10L which I never looked at and by luck the alarm sound started again and they came to replace the machine and that's when the technician explained that my machine is a 10L and the one that they exchanged it with was a 5L and never knew! I'm at 4L! So anyway now I just called because the yellow light came on and I absolutely need my oxygen machine because I have yet another upper respiratory infection! This woman said, can you wait until tomorrow? "What"!!! I'm sitting here telling you I need it tonight and she said well maybe you can use the portable oxygen for tonight! "What"! That thing only operates for about an hour and then it has to be recharged! And it continues to put oxygen out, not as I breathe, who the hell can survive on that! First time ever I got upset with this company for real! I said no to both questions and explained I need it tonight! Then she said OK I'll have someone call you, a driver. Never had a problem with them other than they never explained anything about it for the first day! The driver hooked it up and left! I suppose I should have read the reviews a lot sooner! Quite possibly the most inept company I've ever dealt with. My daughter depends on feeding supplies, and they always mess up the script. They have a habit of sending supplies we don't need (gauge tape, syringes) and not the items she needs. When something is out-of-stock, there's not heads up, it just shows up short after the frequent delay. These are medical supplies that people's lives depend on!!! THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I cannot believe this company deals in life saving supplies, because you will die waiting to receive the correct machinery. My mother's doctor has called them a few times, reading them the riot act and we STILL have not received the correct CPAP machine after almost 2 months! (The first one we received took forever, but was NOT the one the doctor ordered) When you call to get status on what your doctor ordered, they can't seem to find your order so they shift you from department to department and extreme wait times. the worse company. hospital ordered semi bed to be delivered - waited all day for it and then showed up at midnight and driver didn't even know how to install it. had to have family members called and awoken in middle of night to help put together. then when it was time for pick up to return bed the driver was rude - after waiting all day he refused to park where he wouldn't get a ticket because it "didn't work for him" and just left without picking up bed. company never called to let me know what would happen next until I called them myself and still received horrible service. not at all good with customers from drivers to reps. would not recommend or use in future if needed ever again. read more

I called their office and spoke to a person who assured me she would send me a Return Address label. A label didn't arrive. I called twice more and the same results. This company was engaged by our doctor's office, and we did not think to read the reviews. After a very tough start, missed communications, issues with the correct masks and machines, their respiratory therapist came through. This review is for our visit from Stewart, the respiratory therapist. Stewart, came to our home, on time, he was informed about the problem and brought the necessary supplies, explained all my husband's issues, reviewed options, and came up with a feasible solution to my husband's particular needs. Stewart was kind, professional, knowledgeable, caring, and through. We remain skeptical after reading the reviews, when I went to post this one. In my opinion Community Surgical Supply is about one step above a complete SCAM. The idea seems to be getting you on a never ending billing, then become IMPOSSIBLE to contact while your billing goes on and on and on. It took me over three months to get someone on the phone to attempt to get a piece of equipment picked up that I was lied to about, have never turned on and obviously did not need. Driver came a couple of days after delivering this and a larger piece of equipment to I thought pick up both. He LIED, said smaller piece had no cost to me and I should keep it in case of "emergency". Then the billings began. Then Community Surgical became unreachable. A telephone number on their invoice was even disconnected. I searched out other numbers. The most common result of a call was to follow an ungodly number of prompts, wait on hold for several minutes and then be disconnected. Today after reaching someone (after literally months of trying) they informed me that they had had several people relate the same problems. Anyway I told them I wanted the machine picked up, had NO intention of paying their bs invoices and if they had a problem with that we could go to court. She said she would connect me with "pick up". After 19 minutes on hold "pickup" answered. Funny how they seem to think it is no problem for me to plan to be at home all day waiting for their drivers call that he will be here within the hour to get machine. DO NOT attempt to do business with this company or you will be sorry. I fully expect to see them in court as I will not allow them to run their scam on me. I have been dealing with Community Surgical supply since leaving the hospital 3 months ago. I have ordered supplies no less than 5 times and still have not received the correct items. I have been waiting for filters for my Bipap machine for over 2 months now. I have been told they were out of stock then they were in stock and shipped, when they did not come, I called again and was told they never came in. They have to worse customer service I have ever experienced. Each time I called, I was transferred to another department, having to supply all my information again. This happened as many as 6 times, finally on the 7th transfer I was connected to someone who told me to call a different number. The latest thing is i called yesterday to have the Oxygen generators picked up since i do not need them any longer. I was told they would get picked up today and expect a call from the driver to verify the time. It is now 6:30 PM I have not heard from anyone, after wasting my day waiting. I would really like to give this company zero stars. They billed me incorrectly My many phone calls went directly to voice mail due to "high volume of calls" I zeroed out and spoke with someone who indicated she would email the billing supervisor who would call me back. That was August 1st and it is now August 10th. I just called again, spoke to the same person who transferred me to the supervisor's extension, and of course my call went to voice mail. I don't know where this is going, but I now owe a late fee according to their last billing to me as well as the original charge. All the more interesting as my Medicare supplemental plan EOB for this charge shows that the carrier paid the charge in full. This is inexcusable. I A guy from the company came to set me up at home for the first time and showed up with the unit and no mask. He told me "I guess they are going to ship you the mask sometime next week! I had to call customer service this morning to make sure this was happening. I was on hold for a bit, then after waiting for my turn on line I was disconnected. I called again and finally got someone. I was put on hold and 6 min in I was again disconnected!! I waited a while for a return call which never came. I again called and after speaking to an agent about my issue about the mask was told I would have to call another number to resolve the issue. Extremely difficult to contact or communicate with. Billing is nothing short of a scam. They do not return calls. Just my most recent problem with them, after more than a week they finally sent a replacement for a malfunctioning oxygen concentrator to my house. They did come a few days ago but did not call with a deli time as promised and showed up today, again without calling first. Their driver left the replacement machine, took the malfunctioning one and left. When I plugged in the replacement machine it immediately went to an alarm mode and shut down. 7 attempts and result is always the same. Since they delivered after 6pm their offices are closed and I am waiting (44 minutes so far) hoping their service will pick up the phone. This company has been billing my insurance company for a year and a half despite the WTC Health Program assuming responsibility for the bills. They also bill me monthly for co-pays which I do not have.....literally dozens of calls to their billing department have resulted in nothing but wasted time. They simply claim they have to look into the issue and I never hear back...yet the bills continue. When ordering supplies like new O2 hoses and nasal cannulas they never include the number the shipping slip claims...always fewer, yet they bill for claimed amounts. The discourteous people I've had to speak with on the odd occasions when someone can be reached are remarkably unprofessional and seem interested only in getting off the phone, usually without helping at all. I wish I had an option, any option, other than using this company. Avoid at all costs. For a business that provides critically important health care equipment I can only imagine their contempt and terrible customer service have caused others as much aggravation as they have me. As I write this I am without an operating oxygen concentrator that I need to assist my breathing. I have been trying to get a prescription for oxygen home therapy for my 94 year old mother for over a week. Each time I call, they claim some other piece of information is missing. I called the doctor office myself and their notes are complete. The nurse even called the provider directly to expedite the order. Community Surgical / Ocean Breeze can't find any update to the chart. Someone isn't, or can't, do their job correctly! In this case, something that was supposed to be delivered when we got home from the hospital at 2 pm has still not arrived and it is almost midnight. My mom had serious hip surgery and this was a badly needed piece of equipment. They could have left it at the door any time this morning. I called several times and was told it would be here soon. They were supposed to deliver a HOSPITAL BED for an 86 year old stroke patient the day before she was discharged from the hospital. They did not. Nor did they deliver the next day, nor the next, nor the next, nor the next. Nor the next. They SAY they will deliver tomorrow. We will see. Equally horrible, they put me ON HOLD FOR NEARLY 30 MINUTES, waiting to speak with the rep. The person barely apologized and just moved through the call. This is OUTRAGEOUS!! absolutely awful. setup delivery for after 530pm when I was home to sign for equipment. got home to find they had tried to deliver DME at 1240 instead. called immediately at 540 and was told it would get on a night delivery truck since it was their error. 10pm call and get on call. 1030 a night manager returned my call to tell me the commode and rolling walker are being delivered tomorrow. the hip chair is out of stock - although it was verified and charged for delivery. he can't help me and I'll have to call tomorrow.
