Last time they came out to empty our 2 dumpsters trash went everywhere even on top of the truck. The driver removed it, threw it on the ground and left trash everywhere blowing away in the wind across our parking lot. Always put our cans out night before pickup. ALWAYS. Adrianna is a horrible human being. Her only option was I was a lying POS. That is exactly how I was treated immediately. And I have my trash cans out there the day before sitting out there all night screenshots of it all by the hour. And she had the gall to point inside of her truck at her camera and tell me she has a camera too , and she didn't miss our cans , even though she went right by them got the whole cul de sac but ours. Omg\. I literally had to stop and ask myself, what did I get myself into? How did I end up signing up with this company? My trash has not been picked up in two weeks\. I was told to leave it out and was given Work Order \#478985 in case the HOA contacted me\. Well, two days later, my trash is still sitting outside\. This is completely unacceptable\. Had I known this was the level of service I would be receiving, I honestly would not have moved to this area\. I have enough things to worry about in my day to day life\. The last thing I should have to worry about is whether my trash will be picked up\. You are very quick to collect your monthly payment, but when it comes to doing your job, suddenly there are excuses\. You keep claiming the pickup was "missed," but that explanation doesn't even make sense anymore\. Last week the truck came, picked up the trash on my street, knocked over my recycling bin, spilled everything inside, and left without even bothering to pick it up\. This week they picked up the recycling but completely skipped my trash again\. How does that happen? How is this considered acceptable service? What is even more frustrating is that the City of Little Elm allows residents to be stuck with this level of service and gives us no option to choose a more reliable, competent waste company\. There obviously is a good reason for the poor ratings for CWD. I put my garbage out on time, following all the requirements, and it was not picked up. I have made 4 attempts to rectify the situation. If I could give negative stars I would do so. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I recently moved here from out of state and as such have a lot of bulk waste and moving boxes. They have been in the street for a month now. The simply drive on by. They are not even emptying the supplied bin. I call every week and get no information I called today and they said I could pay to have the bulk picked up. That's just great. I am already paying them to not be serviced. On November 10, 2025, a Community Waste Disposal (CWD) driver recklessly struck and damaged my fence while attempting to collect my trash. The driver admitted fault, stating he was not paying attention, and provided his information. He instructed me to contact the CWD office to seek compensation for the resulting damage to my fence and other property. Over the past two months, I have repeatedly contacted CWD's office to resolve this matter. Despite my efforts, the company has failed to resolve the issue. read more

Not providing service as contracted by City of Keller, It has been 2 weeks of not picking up trash leaves, called several times same response we are overwhelmed. I can't see how that is since they don't pickup any bags are piled up everywhere. It's the same service every year. May 8th I had surgery to repair my torn Achilles and have been in rehab since then. During that time frame 3 limbs broke off my tree and have been laying in my front yard. Against doctors orders, I got up and cut the limbs up into two stacks, without twine, but easy to pick up. Shortly after I finished, the bulk pick up truck rolled up to service our street. I asked the driver when he got out, "hey, I just had surgery, can you help me with these two pipes, they are easy to pick up". He looked at me, looked at the two piles and coldly replied, "NO, I will not help you." Then I asked, can you at least wait and let me bring them to the truck, because I was walking with a visible limp? He said yes, thankfully. Not sure if there is a policy of some sort in place, that prohibits the works from helping, but his customer service matched his attitude, shitty. read more

Overpriced to the degree it should be illegal, but it is the only company we are allowed to use in this area. We pay nearly $50 a month and i dispose of like... one 13 gallon bag of trash a week plus a few cardboard boxes. They charge like a $25 "gas surcharge" quarterly, but considering that hundreds of people live in this suburb and everyone is paying $25...what is that... like a 500% profit margin? More? I now know why this is a garbage company. It doesn't refer to removing refuse and recycling, but rather to their customer service, which is garbage! I called for two things, first a new garbage can, because the one that came with the house is old and has a broken top from the collector just tossing it against my gate after emptying it. I was told I would need to leave the garbage can empty next week to get a new one, so what am I supposed to put my garbage in until then. Next issue was the recycling man has not picked mine up the last two cycles. I was told by the person answering the phone, who could not remotely be called or mistaken for customer service that it probably wasn't picked up because the top was raised two inches because it was "overflowing". Well of course it is now, CWD has not picked it up in the last two cycles. She was no help at all. This company is garbage and is quite frankly worse than the mob-run outfits back in New York. At least they showed up when they were supposed to, removed all refuse and recycling, and left your bins neatly where they picked them up. CWD doesn't always collect, leaves a mess around your bins, and if you call for customer service you get a useless, uninterested person who in no way tries to help you. If you have a choice I would definitely choose someone else. They kicked holes in my trash bags that had grass clippings in. They also will make any excuse not to pick up your trash. If you call or email they will not respond to it. So yeah I highly recommend another company. The absolute worst trash company I have ever dealt with in my 54 years of life. If I could give them zero, I would. I have had trouble over and over and over again with them picking up and providing service that I PAY for but do not receive consistently. Sometimes trash is not picked up - but always the recycle is not picked up. Every 2 weeks I am calling to state recycle was not picked up. Since CWD has a contract with the city of Allen, I cant even hire another company to pick it up (both trash and recycle as needed) as the other companies state that since CWD has a contract- they are legally not able to provide service for me. What a crock that is in and of itself- so basically I have no CHOICE or say about my service. I have even started contacting the local news stations and will continue to do such until I start getting service without me having to call- only to be told that they will send someone out the next day - to have no one come out that day and to be told it will be the next day. And so the saga continues. Guess maybe this is a case where I need to get an attorney- as this has been going on for YEARS- yes I said YEARS! Our trash can went missing at last pickup. When I called to find out what happened, I was told that a CWD employee misplaced our trash can between houses. The customer service rep I spoke with accused my neighbors of stealing and told me that I would have to pay to replace it. That is both terrible policy and horrible customer service. CWD employees should be trained to put things back where they found them and CWD should at least offer some sort of assistance when cans are misplaced by their employees. I just moved to this nice neighborhood in Allen, TX and the garbage service is so much worse than my previous neighborhood. First of all they only collect recycling every two weeks which might be standard here but with Amazon boxes etc it just isn't enough! We should be recycling as much as possible and they're forcing us to put stuff in garbage bags since they don't collect it often enough. So I broke down all the boxes and sat them out next to my recycling and garbage and they didn't take them! Am I crazy? What's the problem here? Then they didn't take the garbage at all. I had non-recyclable styrofoam pieces and a pizza box (not marked recyclable) but they just left it and picked up everyone else's! I don't understand! What am I going to do with a bunch of trash for another week, and where am I going to put my new garbage and if not in the can will they even take it??? I know it's not always the person on the other side of the phone that we had a bad experience with but they provide services that we otherwise would not have access to. I have been with this company for almost a year. Their customer service representatives always answer phone calls.  However, my service was delayed a lot of times.  This time is the worst. My trash sat beside the street for 2 weeks. I called asking about the bulk pickup.  They told the date and time.  I put the trash and the bulk before the day.  They didn't get picked up. I kept calling and emailing. Every time the representative would issue the work ticket and assure me the pick day. Then one of the representatives told me that I don't have bulk pickup service.  I asked them if they could at least pick up the trash.  I saw the trash truck pass my house  several times and my neighbor's trash get picked up but not mine.  The customer service and the pickup department don't seem to have communication at all and the customer service representatives don't know their service well. They said I have bulk pickup service but one of them said I don't.  If I did something wrong so the driver won't pick up my trash, I would like to know but no one can tell me. read more

City of Lucas switched over to them recently. Are they better than the prior service? Hard to say. When pickups are missed they try to charge you for it by claiming you are out of compliance. When you call in, certain customer service reps will just read you their list of compliance and not listen to you. They claim they are too busy servicing 200k addresses, which seems to mean that they underbid for this contract and are trying to make up the difference with poor customer support and lean routes. read more

At least once a month they do not get our entire side of the street and when we call, they try to say it wasn't out when we put it out the night before EVERY WEEK! Something you don't expect to say "I miss our last trash service company". Can we go back to the good old days with Republic Services? They spoiled us with "just put it out and we'll pick it up". Not once did I have to go read a list of requirements to figure out how to comply as I do with Community Waste Disposal (CWD). Now, anything outside of the trash can, we have to study a list of requirements and/or measure it precisely to 2'x4' and buddle it perfectly for it to be picked up. If you don't want to do that, you can get a one time a year bulk pick up that you schedule a month in advance. How much is 12 cubic yards in tree limbs, they can't really tell you but make sure you don't go over because they will charge you. Twice they threw in my face I should have known the all the rules even though they had to look up muiltiple times what their own requirements were. CWD is very willing to offer other paid services, on top of what we already pay and then I see that they are increasing their service cost less than halfway through their contract. In construction that's called "underbidding to win the project", then just change order the heck out of them to make up the difference. They got us and we need to remember that when their contact comes back around. read more

CWD is terrible and disappointing company for trash/waste services in Dallas. They have missed 7 of the weekly pickups in 4-5 months. You can call the customer service open up a work order, email your account manager, text, email the customer service with the pictures; But NO RESULTS the issues are same. You won't hear back from the company. You keep calling every day, NO ISSUE RESOLVED. You can lose your tenant because of the mess they responsible for, but they don't care. Customer service standards are ZERO. But they charge you full monthly price. After signing the contract at agreed amount, still they will go up on the price again and again, claiming the higher fuel cost or other costs. They won't let me break the contract because I will be breaching the contract and its $745 penalties. But by not providing the weekly services as agreed on the agreement they are breaching the contract. I have same type of service in the same street for the same kind of multifamily property with other company, I recently switched. The service is great, and price is way better than CWD. I can't wait for this contract to be over so I can change the company. I wish there is "-ZERO" star review for this company. read more

I'm just tired of this bad, BAD, service... I've been living in Wylie for two years now and they have skipped my trash and recycle pick up at least 6 times. I have personally seen the drivers skip my next door neighbors' house for no apparent reason. I wish I had that on video but it happened too fast. This service has to improve A LOT! CWD has a contract with the City of Lancaster for trash collection. As a business owner, I have to use their service. The service is TERRIBLE. Every month I have to call in for my once weekly service not being performed at least once. I feel sorry for their Customer Service reps. They have to hear all day long how terrible their company is. My sales account rep has NEVER returned my messages in 4 years. In October, they missed two consecutive weeks (over an 11 day span) of trash pick up with me calling almost DAILY being told it would be emptied within 48 hours. I deducted 1/4 of that billing with a detailed note to reference all of my calls requesting service. CWD has the audacity to send me a letter from their Collections department. I called today & told them I will never pay them their $41.37 for service NOT PERFORMED. Gues what, they haven't picked up since last Thursday on my scheduled date with repeated calls again. Looks like another deduct is in their future. If the dedicated driver is so overloaded that he can't get to me, put my business on another driver, buy another truck, but don't expect me to pay for services not performed. My company doesn't get paid if I don't perform. Collections & Customer Service state they have sent multiple e-mails to my account rep. Obviously, she doesn't control the drivers routes.
