I love this Church, since I've been attending dates back to 2020 the pastors have been trying to point out the light, the direction back to god . Unlike some churches they preach about daily life and combine it biblical teachings , song of praise which god tells us to, and according to humanity what's been happening over our lives where people have gone astray! The new generation is about raising our children in God's image while we repair ourselves into the Lords vision of ourselves! This church is a great place to worship! And their mission is to bring God everywhere? Why is that a bad thing? I don't believe it is. There motto isn't pay for forgiveness, its donation if you can to help bring God everywhere! read more

Im pretty sure these people are selling grace in the parking lot.... It's a spectacle built off the back and money of its congregation. They guilt script you each and every week to tithe to the church... preacher man wants your money, but he doesn't want to teach you about biblical tithing. Why? Because it doesn't benefit the three ring circus of events and concerts. youll be sitting in this church goi straight to hell. The church has many cliques and they're extremely judgemental, condescending and bullying. i was in a small group when the two "leaders" came in attempting to bully me to the point it was just safer to leave entirel... ironically the topic was loving your enemies. I was just passing through & was blessed to worship here. They have a very talented worship team. I gave it 4 stars, because I did not see evidence of the 5-fold or signs, miracles & wonders. Not a lot of churches, this side of the Book of Acts, demonstrate both of those things. Still, I think that's where God wants to take us & I pray this church gets there, someday soon. read more

We attended 'The Journey' a Christmas season special event. While there are late afternoon matinee's, the evening is best for experiencing this event. And, it is special. Apart from a religious experience, even those seeking just a flesh and blood interpretation of the 'Birth of Christ' event will probably be clown away by the sights, sounds, smells and experience of recreating the fundamental event of the arrival of Lord Jesus. You'll walk about a half mile total along cleared paths as if walking the journey to pay the tax King Herrod demanded of all residents of his lands at this time. Biblically and historically accurate, this interpretation adds real-life elements that will put you in the event itself. Well worth your time, and participation. Prepare to time travel and hopefully gain better closeness with the season. read more

Very welcoming and preach biblical standards and values! If you have children they have a drop off for classes so that's a plus and if you forgot to pick up coffee they have a cafe inside! I definitely learned a-lot going my first time they don't just equip you with the word for the day but encourage you to read the word for yourself and equip you with what you need to study! They have podcasts and live service on YouTube and Spotify as well so if you miss a service you are covered! I'm so used to small southern churches but I love this one as well AND there are so many young adults there and that's hard to find where I'm from! If you want to meet people and make friends this is the place! read more

I love attending Compassion! I was in a confusing and hard time of my life. My close friend invited me and I am so grateful for her. My life has become so much more clearer and stable since I've been at Compassion. Everyone is so friendly and accepting. I feel better being surrounded around others that value their faith and courageously uphold their values. I feel very welcomed and safe every time I come to church. I am also autistic and the environment is sensory friendly. This helps me to focus on the word and building a better relationship with Jesus. I've become content with the uncomfortableness even in my spiritual life as I strengthen it. I look forward to every Sunday session. It helps me start my week off on a healthy foundation. I don't know where I would be if Jesus hadn't spoke through my friend to invite me. Thank you!! read more

Beware, Compassion is a strong and in appropriate title for this "believer run" outreach. Need help, be ready to get talked down to, berated, insulted, and told what YOU should be doing to help yourself. I have been in unbelievable crisis for a year. I prayed and God led me to ask the church for help. The woman "reviewing" my application over the phone began with a nasty, undermining tone telling me EVERYTHING I did incorrectly which was simple enough to decipher. She was talking down to me and like she was my mother scolding me. Instead of offering creative resolutions with the 100's of people who attend the church by asking around for a need financially they could not meet, and she was daft to me trying to explain my situation while balling my eyes out - she simply was ignorant and REFUSED to ask another to understand. I have been a Christian for 19 years and I have met plenty of mean spirited, miserable "Christians. She takes the cake with them all so her nasty treatment to a desperate soul in need coupled with her inability to think outside the box to meet needs in "outreach" is dangerous to a tender needy soul. Mind you I have never ask a church for help before, but I warn you, "DON'T ASK HERE" UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE KICKED IN THE FACE AND SPIT ON WHILE YOUR SOUL IS BLEEDING OUT AND YOU ARE ON THE GROUND. I told her she was being abusive to me (in her tone and speech) and she told me "You better get it together for your kid, pray to God, and take this as a lesson." (Exact words). I told her it was a shame that Christians cannot show emotion in front of other Christians. She the insulted me again AND my parenting. When stopped crying to hear her clearly and and ask her to repeat what she had just said about my parenting again. She projected her attitude onto me. She said basically 'get it together, help yourself, and exactly that I was being "abusive" to her and "we will not help you." Click. Dead air. She hung up on me. Beware if you are not apart of most church cliques, and this is one of those, you are a foreigner. End of story. My daughter and I will still attend to be with The Father, but STEAR VERY CLEAR OF STAFF! AND ASKING FOR HELP IN SO-CALLED OUTREACH FOR HELP. This has been the worst year ever for my daughter and I, and like I said lying down barely breathing bleeding on the ground after much pray and throwing up that morning nervous though following my Daddy, I was kicked in the face and spit on. read more

Today was our first time visiting. From the moment we pulled up, we felt genuinely welcomed. They roll out the red carpet for first time visitors. We were met by Mrs. Heather, who was all smiles. She gave our family a tour of the church and got us all signed up for the children's church for my little one. We were introduced to many people who all smiled and greeted us. I met the sweetest lady today by the name of Mrs. Les. Mrs. Les had the sweetest spirit, like a grandmother. Service had a message about being welcomed, and finding a supportive team to be behind you. This was confirmation that we were in the right place. We even had someone pray with us after service. I've been attending CCC for 11 years and I can't get enough of this place! It's so refreshing to be a part of a church that is loves people right where there at in life. No judging here. They let God be God. Christ's life is the example. He leads this church which is why it's called "christian church" and it's non denominational. It's been my experience with some denominations that you're looked down on if you're not super spiritual. Not here. They encourage you, provide opportunities to grow in your faith and love you no matter what. That's what Jesus did and still does. He loves us even when we're running. Love this church... they speak truth in love. It's a BIG CHURCH because THEY HAVE BIG HEARTS and people want to be a part of a church like this! As Christians we should WANT our church to grow and share the faith, hope and love we're experiencing! Can you picture standing at Christ's feet one day saying "Sorry I couldn't find a church to serve you and worship you at but I like small churches and I couldn't find one that stayed the size I'm most comfortable with." I admit I was out of my comfort zone at first too but once I got involved with serving here it was no longer a thought of being to big. One final note. I have been having a hard time since the coronavirus started. Today I found out stimulus checks were going to be sent out to people on SSDI until the end of the month and I had no food. I drove to the Henderson Campus of the church but the food pantry was not open, so I sent a message online. I barely got home when a father and his daughter brought groceries to my door! My friend and I live in Savannah, Georgia. We attend worship at Compassion Christian Church, at variously, downtown campus; east campus, and, as of late, the henderson campus. We are homeless, as of June 08, 2019, to present. We were sitting within our vehicle, at the copiously-shaded, unpaved, wooded parking area, away from the worship center, attempting to obtain some temporary relief from this excessive heat and high humidity-heat index 102 on date of this usettling incident, September 09, 2019, Monday. Apparently and obviously, the term "compassion", as used to compose the name of this church, does not extend, as to the compassionate sharing of God's trees providing shade for humans---"made in the likeness and image" of God. AND AGAIN, I STRESS MOST VEHEMENTLY, WE ATTEND WORSHIP AT THIS CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And moreso, a security guard accosted us, strongly-exhibiting a sidearm; the sidearm, a revolver, most assuradly was a .38 calibre weapon. Without doubt, God Himself dispatched this agent of righteousness-"the officer does not bear the sword in vain"-to chastise two evildoer believers and followers sealed by His Blood! I had PREVIOUSLY thought better of this church entity which utilizes the term "Compassion" to compose its formal, legal designation; however, I do hope, and realize possibly????, that the horiffic behaviour described, supra, does not reflect the ideals of, nor the aberrant brand of "Christianity", so prevelant, during this "age of darkness", which by all reasonable appearances, this disheartening incident, casts this church as a distinct member participating in. Alas, so I cannot logically, nor rationally, nor truthfully, be deemed a liar, nor, a person whom presents skewed and obtuse fairy tales, I neglected to mention a dastardly immoral infraction we perpetrated, during our extremely-abridged sojurn within said wooded, secluded parking area---neither of us were wearing shirts, while sitting within the vehicle---sin and iniquity, sin and iniquity! The security guard erupted in great fanfare, concerning this severe infraction. Now, I have accurately revisited the incident. read more

Compassion Christian Chuch is the most authentic, courageous, and passionate church I know. At first glance, this church may seem too big or possibly even a source to take your money. Many do not want to take part in a big church because they believe it will be hard to meet people. CCS encourages life groups within the church so that each member can build relationships with those in the same community meanwhile growing deeper in faith at the same time. We believe that relationships built in Christ will have a firm foundation. These life groups are also put in place to encourage members when they are going through difficult situations. Life groups help turn a big church with unfamiliar faces to a small church with familiar faces. Many overlook the effects a big church can have. One effect is that a big church can have a BIG impact! The goal of CCS is not to take your money, it's to lead people to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. Through tithes and offerings, this church has the capability to show God's love to people 5 minutes away and to people 3 continents away. Overall, Compassion Christian Church is a great church with great values. I pray that you would check it out for yourself! read more

My wife and I went to church there for years. We were founding members of the East Campus. Donated money, time, effort, and our hearts to what we believed was a good thing. My mother in law even started to attend with us. Unfortunately, my mother in law died and we informed several members and staff at the church. Not a word, card, flower, phone call, nothing came our way by means of support, which was a very trying time for our family. We stopped going to church there, and about 8 months later, ran into a member of the staff from the Main Campus. He asked us how everything was going at East Campus. We told him what happened, and he said that he had no idea what happened or that we had stopped going to church there. Funny thing is, to date, we have not received a single phone call, letter, or anything asking us where we have been, or how we are. All that effort put into dragging the equipment to and from the gym, in the scorching summer heat, the money we donated, the time we put in on many Journey's, and we were forgotten by our "family in Christ". I hope God truly touches those that attend there. I'm sure their motivation comes from their hearts, but don't expect the homey feeling, and personal relationships you can get from a smaller church. read more
