Established in 1985.

We are a family owned & operated company that has been in business since 1985. Back then, we were Classic Carpet Cleaning, we had 1 truck and owner Shawn Copeman was the sole employee. Today we're Classic Carpet Cleaning, Complete Cleaning & Restoration and Steamway of Northern Michigan. We have 16 employees, 11 trucks & vans, 4 trailers, 2 dump carts, 2 duct cleaning machines, 1 ozone machine, 2 thermal foggers, 1 trailer mounted tes unit, 3 e-tes units, 20 dehumidifiers, and well over a hundred air movers. Our services have expanded from just carpet cleaning, into upholstery, tile and grout cleaning, general cleaning, air duct cleaning, water, sewage & mold remediation and restoration, as well as fire, smoke, storm, wind and hail restoration. We can tackle any problem from start until COMPLETELY finished & will work with your insurance company & guide you through each step of the process to make it all as easy as possible for you.

Meet the Business Owner: Shawn C.

Shawn has been in the carpet cleaning business for over 30 years. In the early 2000's, the business of Shawn and his wife Lori was known as Classic Carpet Cleaning. As they started growing, they realized their name didn't quite fit with all the services they were providing. Shawn and Lori started Compete Cleaning & Restoration in on December 28th, 2007. They kept the same building, staff, and offer the same services! Shawn is very dedicated to what he does and nothing makes his happier than seeing his customers completely satisfied with the work provided by his company.
