Just as we were starting to breathe, my husband got laid off, and then, wouldn't you know it, I did too a few months later. So, dental care, understandably, kept getting bumped further and further down the priority list. It was a pretty wild ride for a while there! Once things finally settled down and we were both back on our feet, finding a new dentist became a top priority again. And oh my goodness, are we glad we stumbled upon Wesley Dental! Seriously, it's been such a breath of fresh air. We've had several appointments now, and I honestly can't say enough good things about them. They really shine when you need them most. I actually had a filling pop out recently, which led to a fractured tooth (ouch!), but they swooped in and had me capped up and fixed in what felt like no time at all. Beyond the emergencies, one of the biggest wins for me is that they make sure you see the same hygienist and dentist every single time. It's such a comforting feeling, especially if you're someone who gets a little antsy about dental visits. It truly makes you feel like you're part of their family, not just another patient. And get this, after our initial cleanings, they even sent us home with these adorable coffee mugs and other little goodies - such a sweet, unexpected touch! It just goes to show how much they care about the whole experience. Oh, and here's a little secret: they have a fantastic referral program. The first visit they triedto get over $4000 for extensive work on a single toothache. They grew impatient in my inability to fork over a huge sum of money. The second visit was supposed to be a $200 tooth extraction, as we couldn't afford her prices for dental work. I went in with a positive attitude and a smile. Her assistants tried to kill that with negativity and flat out neglect(ever had to suction your own spit because they wander off??) Then Dr Bates set in. She told me this would be easy. An hour in, she told me my "bones were too hard". Then she spent atleast another hour using power tools and taking breaks just to get my tooth out. At the end she placed SEVERAL sutures, but never sewed any flesh across the gaping hole in my gum and skull. It has since (MIRACULOUSLY) healed. Several dentists and an oral surgeon since this experience(over a year ago, maybe longer. I'm a disabled veteran with diffuuculty remembering dates of traumatic events) have told me that she should have done a bone graft or called for a surgeon's help to fix the damage she did. It has not been fixed and my skull, where the gaping hole is, hurts EVERY DAY of my life. I have to take Advil just to TRY and ignore it. Upon leaving her office, I was sore and in pain, and the receptionist got smart. I told her I wanted to talk to someone else. OH NO. Not allowed. Carole Bates sent me a letter stating she won't see me anymore. I suppose I am just supposed to suffer my life through with the painful damage that she did.

I confidently chose the treatment plan I felt worked best for me and left knowing I have a dentist for life. She's funny and easy to interact with. Her goal is patient satisfaction and perfect work.
