I take no pleasure in criticizing a small business but here is what happened. In the past I brought two laptops to be serviced by Steve. He brought them up to speed and seemed like a stand up guy with his service. Stood behind his work. In June of this year 2023 one of my laptops would not power up. I left it with him over a long weekend to fix. When I picked it up he told me it seemed like a problem with the power button. He released the laptop to me and said to leave it in sleep mode rather than shutting it down. He told me for him to get a new power button would take some time. He would let me know when he would get one. I called him 4-5 weeks later to inquire how things looked. I was in no way irate rude, snide harsh at all . I trusted him and just called to follow up. He told me there no progress yet. I followed up with another call this week. Note: this is going on months later. He answered and told me he would call me right back. I ran a few errands and gave him a call. The call disconnected. I called back and the call would not go through. I thought my phone was the problem so I then used my wifes phone. Steve answered and before I could finish what I was saying I got a a busy signal. He HUNG UP on me both times and blocked my number is what happened. Ghosted. I wasn't rude demanding harsh accusatory or anything. I had a Legacy DVD from my sister's funeral that I treasured. I often played it on my computer DVD…read moredrive. One day I couldn't open the DVD, so I called Jim at Network & IT Solutions. He suggested that I bring the DVD down, and he would test it. It took nearly a month for him to tell me that he could open the DVD and that I should replace my DVD drive so that it would autoplay. I dropped off my computer for the repair, and it took a week and half to finally get it back. After the repairs, we discovered that the DVD did not play at all. The new drive didn't perform any better than my old drive. Jim replaced a perfectly good DVD drive and with one I didn't need. The Legacy DVD was corrupt, not the drive. It was disappointing that he didn't test our drive before replacing it. He charged me $96.00 for the repair. When I called him to let him know that the DVD still wouldn't open, he got very nasty. He told me to bring the computer back and he would reinstall my old drive. What is that going to solve?!?! I spent nearly $100 for nothing!!! He should have tested my drive before replacing it. He promised me that the new DVD drive would autoplay my DVD once he replaced it. I'm disappointed with his shoddy computer service, but I'm abhorred with his lack of customer service. It would have made all the difference in the world if he had been polite, concerned about my issue, and willing to do something to make this right. I will not bring my computer to his store again.

Adam is always helpful when selecting a machine and the adaptors to enable the devices I already have to work properly. The favorite thing about the computes from Cyber Exchange is that they don't have the promotional software installed that I see at other retail stores. The computers have just the current operating system, clean and nothing else to work your way through.

When I was told the contents of my former PC had been copied and all was ready, I picked up the "new" computer. Once home, it was clear that Windows 11 had NOT been installed. An email to the business over the weekend was quickly answered, and it was clear they were eager to make things right. They did, but, for me, it involved multiple trips of 1/2 hour each. P.S. And one time, they were not open when they should have been.
