I booked this office after being told the first visit would take about 90 minutes, which is normal. What was not disclosed is that treatment would not begin until the third visit, after multiple long appointments involving paperwork, imaging, scans, tours, classes, and videos. Visit one was intake, X-rays, a nerve scan, and a facility tour. No adjustment. Visit two was explained as another ~90 minutes for a mandatory "first-timers" class, review of results, and philosophical education. Still no adjustment. Visit three would finally be when treatment begins, after investing well over four hours of time. That level of time commitment and delayed care should be made clear before someone books. This feels less like healthcare onboarding and more like a sales and conditioning funnel. If you're an experienced chiropractic patient looking for straightforward care, this model is likely not for you. One additional concern: after the visit, I received a review request email that asked whether I was "happy." Selecting "yes" routes you to Google. Selecting "no" routes you to a separate site where the feedback is not public. That is intentional reputation filtering, not neutral feedback collection, and it reinforced my decision to walk away. Transparency matters. Respect for a patient's time matters. This office failed on both.

I moved from South…read moreCharlotte to York, SC a few years earlier and wasn't able to visit my Charlotte chiropractor regularly like I used to due to time constraints and distance, so stopped going. This was a pretty disastrous decision for my back (among other bad decisions like not doing my yoga and gaining 20 pounds) as I have a few degenerative conditions and when I wasn't looking I found myself a few years later in severe pain, developed severe sciatica in my right leg with a pronounced limp that I didn't have before, and basically had to stop all the outdoor physical activities I used to do. An MRI confirmed I had gotten worse and now I needed rehabilitation to improve. The contractor couldn't talk highly enough about Dr. Coxon so I made an appointment to try him. I had been spoiled by having a great chiropractor in Charlotte and was skeptical I would find another good one. Dr. Coxon knew exactly what he was looking at and we made 2 appointments per week to try to reverse the manifestations of what had evolved. That was 3 months ago. I unbelievably am able to go to only 1 day per week now this past week. Dr. Coxon unraveled A LOT of what had happened. I lost the limp, the sciatica is gone (minus a momentary twinge now and then when I turn wrong), the pain is under control enough to do all the physical therapy exercises (under my doctor's prescription), and I'm following the Miranda Esmonde-White routines "Essentrics" (which are also magical) and I can see the hope of returning to my previous outdoor physical activities like hiking and walking my dog! It isn't coming without working through the pain (properly), commitment (not perfect), and focus on it all the time. And it's still a long road ahead for me plus a lifetime lifestyle change. But I'm 110% positive I would not have come this far this fast without the work Dr. Coxon did on me! Truly amazing. And he's also very personable, understanding, and genuine. I feel I am heard, whereas a lot of doctors form opinions without really listening to what you are saying. I appreciate that he tells you each step of the way what he is doing and that his manner is so patient. Also I appreciate that he takes the whole person into consideration instead of just focusing on the injured area. I have had more success with him than anyone I have gone to. He did not require an X-Ray in order to treat me, but did a physical exam and observed my movements to assess what was needed. I feel I have made more progress with him than any of my other physical therapist or upper cervical doctors.
