It's hard finding a good pediatrician practice and I'm so glad I went with this place! It's waiting…read moreis clean and there's a waiting area for healthy kids and another for sick kids. But what is more important is that Cheryl and Dr. Steve Karges are trustworthy, patient and kind. They give good advice and they don't make you do anything you don't want to for your child. I never feel rushed at my appointments and they give you time to think about a decision beforehand. They took time to explain things and listen to my concerns. It seems like Cheryl and Dr. Karges truly has compassion for babies and children. I highly recommend them!

I really enjoyed the visits we had with the PA but Dr kargas was not right for our family. On of…read moreour first visits consisted of a newborn appt and my mother-in-law attended with us. Dr Kargas asked how breastfeeding was going and when I had no complaints he responded with how durable my nipples must be... I told him (as almost every mother does) that the newborn has was an issue and I wanted to be sure I was doing everything possible to offer comfort for my baby. He told me I should stop drinking carbonated beverages, not to eat onions as well as a long list of food (most being produce) or anything That may cause gas in me as that will indeed give baby gas. After a tiny amount of research I was able to find that these are not proven ways to diagnose a n allergy or pass gas to baby via breast milk. We changed pediatricians and without even explaining this experience their first response was to test baby's poop overs period of several visits before ordering momma drastic diet change. Outdated medical views and pushy views unless you speak to PA.

This is odd, seeing a low yelp rating. On mom forums they are given a good reputation. I have 4…read morekids who all see these doctors since birth at Bayfront. We have since moved out of St. Pete, but still travel down to this office. We mostly see Dr. Patronella and her nurse Leslie, both wonderful practitioners. Leslie calls me back before their practice is open when I leave a message to get a sick kid in and she always work me in. I had one annoying experience where they would not get me in for a well visit that day any time because they were holding the place for a sick or new visit that day. I called in the afternoon and got the same story, they would not even work me in if I waited. And another time one doctor kept me and my babies waiting for WAY too long while I was also babysitting other kids but I guess that happens. That was years ago. Dr. Patronella is able to diagnosis and prescribe for my kids and we appreciate her. The staff now like our Christmas cards and I love that they have had the same staff and good reputation for the 12 years that I have been going there as a parent and the years before when I would take the kids for whom I nannied. They have an infant waiting room to keep germs away from the newest patients. The office has not been updated in years but is clean. The doctors wash their hands upon entering the room and that's better than chandeliers and leather couches. Oh. I did not pierce my daughter's ears because I have sensitive ears myself but my friend let Dr. Patronella do it. That's a random cool service that is better done in a doctor's office than in the mall on a baby! Your kids are wondering this part: yes they have a treasure box full of dum dums at check out. Those make everything ok :)

They are very nice people I would just be careful with medications and look them up on your own. They are nice but maybe regarding mental health services do your own research as they are very old school.
