He had great recommendations and quoted a price that was slightly below my budget for this project. His electricians came when they said they would, installed everything perfectly, and cleaned up and hauled the old light fixtures away (an added bonus as I wasn't expecting them to do this). Adam was fantastic. Just a really nice, professional, great guy to work with. I was putting in 4 ceiling fans, got a quote from CWS and it was $400 less than the other 3 electricians I had look at it. As far as the work, they did a fantastic job, even working around some areas in a fashion that didn't even require dry wall repair. Adam even came by for a free follow up visit to check out a clicking noise I was hearing on one of the fans. I had what I figured would be a fairly easy task - I needed to add a dedicated circuit for a treadmill in my basement. After calling around to a few electricians who were friends of friends, etc. and not really getting anywhere (due to my own scheduling conflicts as well as theres, so it wasn't all their fault). A few that showed up to quote the job mentioned it might take 4 or 5 hours, that I'd have drywall damage that needed to be repaired, etc... none of which made sense to me since it was a fairly easy shot... But anyway, I finally just called cws based on some yelp reviews, told them to just plan on coming out and doing the job, quote or not, I just needed to get it done. I had to reschedule it once because of a sudden work trip, but theyw orked with me no problem. Technician came out, had the work done in hour and a half, and it worked great, no fuss, no muss! In addition, no drywall damage and the work was left with what I'd dare say was a very professional look! I thought the hourly rate was a bit high, but given it took significantly less time than others had quoted, this wasn't such a big deal. :) read more

Service was fast, courteous, and top notch.

My outdoor light plugin got some kind of short in it so it crashed after a few moments' use, and when I tried to use it, the bathroom lights crashed every time too. CWS guys switched the breaker indoors so the bath works again. Yay! But the main outdoor problem (that could potentially be dangerous) immediately reappeared. Adam kindly gave me a different timer but it didn't work either. The problem is with the wiring. I called and texted repeatedly for follow-up but was completely ignored. Radio silence. $200 and no fix. :-( I was left feeling overall disappointed, disrespected and ripped off. FOLLOW-UP: I'm not a frequent Yelp-er, and just now saw Adam's response. I understand how things can fall apart when a beloved parent is dying, and very much appreciate his honest apology and taking responsibility now. I've since gotten the problem fixed, but will contact him now and will change my review from 2 stars to 3. read more

Adam responded immediately to my request for a bid on re-wiring a 220 outlet for our hot tub. The woman at his office was friendly and helpful. He came out within a few days and gave us a few options to choose from, and wrote the bid up within the day. Once we decided on the work, he and his team arrived early on the day scheduled. Adam sent a colleague of his to my house to fix an issue I was having with the electrical supply to the furnace. I had previously had someone spend 2 hours in my crawl space and come up with "I don't know, it looks fine". Adam's colleague had diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes and had it fixed in another 25 minuets. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything to me. I hired them to install two wall-mounted lamps that I had already bought next to an existing wall-mounted lamp and wire them all together. They arrived on time and did a good job. I was especially impressed that they were able to do this without cutting open the wall to run the wires; so I was saved a plastering job. Their weak point is their estimating; it took a couple of follow-up calls to get the estimate. read more

As I was in the middle of a flooring project, I realized I needed to move a 220 outlet for my stove from the floor to a wall. CWS to the rescue! I called Adam and he was able to come out within 24 hours to give me an estimate. He arrived early, and made sure that I was kept abreast of when his technician was to arrive later in the afternoon. Eric, the tech, worked quickly and efficiently. He gave helpful advice about my future plans for a gas range, and anticipated some projects that might need to be done in the future. It is not often that I am motivated to write about a business. But CWS was such a great find -- thanks to Yelp -- that I cannot hold back. Adam, the owner, came over, sized up the electrical problems with the home I had recently bought, and fixed what he could. He also offered advice on long-term safety issues related to aluminum wiring, and sent me a proposal and a price for future fixes. It all made sense. So I made a second appointment for a few days later, when another tech who was equally personable and efficient, came over and took care of everything. Adam exceeded our expectations. First, he was very responsive to our query. We sent him photos of the outlet we thought was irreparable and the panel, and he responded positively. He actually showed up when he said he would (something rare here) and fixed the problem quickly. He was amenable to talking about another issue we were contemplating, as well. Adam has very high integrity. I called him to get a quote for upgrading my electrical panels to 100% AFCI breakers. He advised me that his customers usually ask him to take them out rather than put them in due to nuisance tripping. As a result, he saved me several thousand dollars. Things aren't what they once were at CWS. The company has grown, and the care for the customer seems to have shrunk. I called with a fairly small job but a bit of a time crunch, got dragged along for a while by promises of a quote that finally came a couple days later than claimed and substantially more than other estimates. Due to the time lost waiting for the quote, I had little choice but to get part of the work done. It was completed just fine, but at a high price and with a bit of disingenuousness regarding what was actually done. I got the rest of the work done later by someone else for a third of what CWS was going to charge. read more

Excellent work all around. I needed some some ceiling lamps installed and a fan removed. Adam set up an appointment quickly. Very experienced and pleasant electrician got the job done quickly. I needed some help determining why outlets had stopped working and add an outlet. Kirk was able to come out the next day (due to a cancellation) and did amazing work very quickly. He figured out the outlet issue and added the outlet in less than an hour, then noticed a loose outlet (which he fixed) and installed GFIs in the kitchen area.
