Furthermore, she mentioned I was never a customer at LCAF and that she was "baffled", I mean that is really low. I have paperwork the proves and says otherwise. This review was directed at the level of service we received from her, not because we were getting set up on paper checks on the first run. No, we did not care about that (although we mentioned it), we are simply stating the level of service we received at LCAF was bad. Marni claims…read moreto be communicative and she was in the first month to earn the business, however, after a couple months her true colors started to show. She wouldn't return my calls, and would return emails two to three weeks after I had emailed her and sent several follow up emails. They also constantly got things wrong on my payroll, like sick leave and vacation leave amounts, even though I filled out their questionnaire with all of that information neatly written out in a clear, legible manner. She tried to strongly talk me out of giving my employees vacation time saying state law doesn't require you to so you shouldn't. When I told her I still wanted to, she kept telling me how I shouldn't give them vacation. I appreciate the advice but it's my business so I can give vacation if I'd like. Ultimately it's my decision and liability. It doesn't impact her in any way besides having to enter it into the system. She also went back on services she said she would provide for the monthly payroll fee and would refuse to perform them even though it was clearly listed on her service/rate sheet and if you asked her about it she would get indignant. She told me she would enter payroll hours if I sent her a screenshot of the timecard but when time came to do so, she urged me to enter the time myself into her system and run the payroll myself. She wouldn't run reports either like she said she would. She basically charges people to use her software and wants them to do all the leg work themselves - if I wanted to do that, I'd just use QuickBooks. If I had questions on the amounts they were drafting out of my account for taxes, she would get indignant with me and tell me the system generated an email that was sent to me - I don't know payroll or payroll taxes which is why I hired someone, so if I have a question about her drafting thousands of dollars out of my checking account especially when the amounts drafted don't match the amounts on the email (if I even received an email - after a couple months I no longer received the email notices), I think it's only fair that she explain to me the drafts. She would cancel meetings last minute, and one time she said it was due to COVID and her counterpart being susceptible to COVID due to her age but then a couple weeks later, wanted to set up another meeting in person (mind you, both events happened prior to the COVID vaccine becoming available). If someone doesn't want to meet due to COVID and being high risk, that's fine but then why the want to meet in person a couple weeks later? Seemed like she double booked herself a lot and would cancel her "less important" appointments with "smaller" clients. Marni and her staff are not communicative at all and fly by the seat of their pants. Save yourself the headache and go with a larger, more reputable and reliable payroll company.

No way, I scanned that in this morning before sending the email request. I pull up my email and, yep, no signature or date!! After a 20 hour day yesterday, my brain grabbed the unexecuted/undated file. But instead of saying sorry because I had missed the time window for execution today, Kristen goes to the team and see's if they can complete the withdrawal even after MY mistake. And they pull it off!! Now I'm 64 and have moved over $1.3 million in the last 18 months and never have I had a company fix a problem like this, so professionally, so quickly, no drama at all, and all the while after I was the problem.
