We came by just to grab some coffee to-go after visiting the Resource Depot and I'm glad to-go was our plan given this spot was very busy and very packed. We did come on a weekend so it was expected, but I can assure you it was actually worth the wait! Upon walking in, you are greeted by very busy yet very friendly baristas. And we are very grateful that the one who rang us up was very patient with us because she took her time explaining all the different beans and nodes. I may not recall the name of my coffee, but it had nodes of jasmine tea and I loved it! Puppy loved his coffee too. If you are someone who drinks coffee black, you will DEFINITELY admire the different tastes of the coffee here. It was a hot day so we probably should have asked for our drinks iced but we enjoyed it nonetheless. We also had an orange rosemary, scone, and it was also very delicious. I absolutely love the aesthetic of this place... The industrial and mid modern century interior is something I would love for my own home! While out and about exploring in West Palm Beach I found this coffee shop. I am always in need of afternoon caffeinated refreshment so I decided to stop and I am so glad I did because this place is a hidden gem. Composition Coffee was founded in 2019 by Joshua Korman as a pop-up espresso bar in the now-closed Elizabeth Ave Station. Their current location in Industry Alley opened in 2021. Walking up to Composition Coffee you go through their outdoor patio where you can sit at tables. Inside is industrial chic which channels the former warehouse that this used to be. Hanging plants and exposed brick bring add charm to the otherwise sterile interior. Food & Wine has listed Composition Coffee as one of the best coffee houses in Florida. They are particularly known for their matcha sourced directly from Japan and prepared using traditional techniques. When ordering they will share their expertise about coffee types, brewing methods, and where they source their beans. Specialty roasts are available via AeroPress, pour-over, cold brew, and espresso. Drinks are prepared using a specialty reverse osmosis water profile to deliver each beans beans flavor notes like chocolate, caramel, and fruit. Korman considers himself a scientist who is always working to present each coffee at its peak flavor. I ordered a London Fog cookie, made with Earl Grey tea with bergamot oil. It was my first time trying this flavor and it added a floral, citrusy tea taste to the cookie. It paired perfectly with an iced latte which i enjoyed in their cozy loft area. This coffee shop came highly recommended to us by locals while visiting WPB, and it did not disappoint! Beautiful interior & coffee bar with an upper level with additional seating. We were able to catch their holiday menu specials and got the eggnog cortado which was just perfection. I could have drank two more. Composition is located in downtown West Palm Beach by a delicious taco shop and an adorable record store. In my opinion I liked the seating options here. You could sit outside on their patio or upstairs in a loft-like area. However the cubby area tucked in the back was extremely uncomfortable for long term sitting. I had come here to study, and while I could find a seat, I could not find many places to plug in my laptop, which became kind of frustrating around the end of the day. Ironically, the cubby area had the most places to plug-in, but it was so uncomfortable that I ended up finding a table and balancing my laptop, so that I could get my cord to reach an outlet behind me at a table. I also thought it pertinent to warn everyone reading that I got a classic iced vanilla latte and it was over $10. No special milk and no other flavors. read more

As for price, I guess you'd expect it for Palm Beach, but still probably would've liked to see each (drinks and food) be around 1-2$ cheaper to be an overall all in win. Came here with a friend due to all the good reviews we saw. My takeaway is that everything here is just okay. My friend ordered an iced matcha, which she left half unfinished as she didn't like it. I tried it as well and I'd have to agree. The matcha was still very bitter despite her asking them to sweeten it with honey. She did like her croissant. I ordered the matcha brownie which was very mild in taste and a bit on the dry side. I also got an iced latte, which was alright. I'm picky with coffee and I wouldn't say the flavor stood out to me enough to make a return here since it was an about 25 min drive. If I lived 5 minutes away maybe. The actual coffee shop was absolutely packed. Lots of dogs. We were able to find a spot upstairs and we hung around there for about an hour on our laptops. Always appreciate when there's spots where you can enjoy your coffee and have free wifi, so kudos to the owner for that. read more

Their coffee in pictures looks very promising, I always look for lattes that are darker in color so I know it's a lot stronger or more of a coffee taste than milk. They have a shared parking lot and street parking as well. The place looks really aesthetically pleasing they have a small upstairs lounge and offer patio. I like how there were a few options of espressos we can choose from. We got the monte espresso latte, one with coconut syrup and one with vanilla. I like how they measure their syrups by oz/g then pumps. They were very accommodating when I ask for 6grams of coconut syrup. Coffee was really good! Really strong coffee taste. Composition is my favorite coffee shop in Florida. It's so good that I'm willing to wake up at 6 a.m. and drive 50 minutes just to be there when they open (and I actually do that). The coffee is outstanding and actually tastes like the famous Community Goods coffee from LA. I love the artisanal ceramic cups they use--it adds so much to the experience. Their decaf coffee amazed me; it's so flavorful that it doesn't feel like a compromise at all. I also appreciate the quality of their pastries--so many coffee shops have pastries just for the sake of it, but here, they're actually delicious. The passion fruit kouign-amann blew my mind, and the almond croissant is stunning! Atmosphere-wise, it's my number one coffee shop. It's so peaceful, with comfortable couches and a second floor where you feel separated from the rest of the world. It's so cozy that people come here to spend the whole day working--which is both a blessing and a curse lol. I also come here to read sometimes, but if you're just trying to have your coffee, you might get pissed that all the seats are taken. Everything was perfect except the coffee. As someone with two coffee roasters and 7 coffee shops in my hometown (Beverly MA, coffee capital of the world) I was disappointed in the coffee. I tried the hot latte with whole milk and the iced latte with oat and their homemade vanilla syrup. Homemade syrup was amazing. I dislike syrup, I think it tastes fake. I originally ordered a caramel macciato and was told they don't serve that but to try the latte with vanilla. It did taste similar to the macchiato. it was good, was expecting stronger coffee taste. I then tried the hot latte and found that also lacked a strong coffee taste. Both were quite smooth and enjoyable. I went there expecting to find a great coffee shop and instead found a great bakery with good coffee. The pasties were great. I learned they came from Aioli. Best choice was passion fruit pastry - wow. After getting various pastries to try and bring home, we ate this and bought two more for the hubbys. Wow. Tasted like a passion fruit curd which I will now attempt at home. Everything croissant was too strong for me, but others really liked it. We tried 2 donuts which tasted nice, not exceptional. Not as good as a homemade donut place but still cakey and nice. The goat cheese and spinach danish was great. So good I'd get that one again, too. Atmosphere cannot be beat. I love getting the matcha americano style with light milk. It's great for a less creamy drink. Composition was a coffee house I discovered through a Yelp search when I wanted to grab coffee that wasn't Starbucks. Being that I was in the West Palm Beach area just south of downtown, having just finished lunch in the area, I was happy to find a spot where I could relax for a little bit. The flat white I had was good and satisfying made with care by the baristas that were down to earth. The ambiance is quite chill, modern, and stylish. There is a very hip feel between the bottom level where you can order your coffee and sit at one of the u-shaped booth seats or tables, or go up the flight of stairs to the balcony area where you can grab a table there, which overlooks the main area. What a great little place a nook in a hidden treasure area. My son brought us there for the first time and the coffee was delicious, everybody in there was so nice and welcoming when we walked in. I was in the area and stopped in to get a cup of joe along with a pastry. The joint was busy for a mid Tuesday morning and I noticed a lot of college kids there gearing up for their classes online. I was greeted and wasn't rushed to take my order. I settled for a macchiato and an everything croissant. It came out quickly and I took it to go. I was thanked for coming in by the staff. When I got in the car and started driving, I took a sip of the macchiato. I almost spit it out. I was really surprised on how bitter it tasted since I had plenty of them before and never expected it to be like that. When I got home, I added a little sugar and cream. Since I failed to tell the baristas to add that in the coffee, it was my fault. The price was a bit steep for the coffee too. $4 for a small cup of it was unreasonable since it I could get a large one for cheaper elsewhere. I've been in the area a few times for stores but never have taken the time to stop in for a coffee at Composition until this past weekend. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and asked what they could get started for us. This being our first trip, I asked a few questions of milks and syrups offered. I chose a cold brew with almond milk and a coconut syrup. When they brought the coffee out to us, I wasn't expecting them to be in such nice and fun glasses. The coffee was exceptionally good, although I'm not sure I could really taste the coconut syrup. I felt like it was a good pour size as well. There is seating inside, but because it's been so hot; all tables were full inside so we grabbed a table on the outside patio. It's definitely hot and they could use some fans or something out there. We would have stayed longer if it wasn't for the heat because it was such a setup outside. Definitely will be back! read more
