It took about 10 tries to make it through the labyrinth of name and password requirements. Funny thing, no matter what the problem was, the directive was the same - "Please use at least 8 characters and at least 1 number in your password.". After 6 or 7 failures, I figured out the problem was not the password but the username, which demanded a number in it. So I put a number in it and went on to the next screen. But they were just kidding! After trying to sign in, it turned out (after a long wait for the system to send my username) that the number didn't even make it into the username, despite it being the hangup the whole time. Trying to call OUC was also hilarious. The system immediately told me, "we're sorry, but we are experiencing larger than normal call volume" and shuffled me off to an all-options-useless menu. After mashing 0 several times, the system demanded my social security number, account number, or phone number. Of course it recognized none of these, since I'd yet to set up my account (see above). The system could do nothing and I went indefinitely on hold. Being told they refused to help in a cheerful, polished way by a human would have at least given some measure of closure. I think it's cool that they're publicly owned (+1 star), but it doesnt give them an excuse to suck. First world problems, and plenty of em.

Upon arriving, there was parking all around the building. After I parked, I noticed there was a round about to walk around outside and a couple spots by the ponds to read! I went inside the library, and it was very organized. Spots around downstairs and upstairs to study or read. There were private rooms for rent. For the most part, I was able to read and concentrate. However, towards the end, there were kids upstairs that were being loud and I couldn't concentrate anymore. I didn't know this library was different than the Orange County library. I thought it was the same, but thankfully, getting a new library card was simple. I found the 2 books I was looking for! There's book returns both inside and outside of the library! My favorite thing about this spot is the architecture outside!
