The salesperson promised it would easily cover my stay. Less than 24 hours later, the service became unusably slow -- I couldn't even use Google Maps, which is essential for any visitor trying to move around the city. Apps like Instagram and TikTok also stopped working properly. I went to another AT&T branch (Fuente de Cibeles) and was redirected back to the same store. There, I spoke with the manager, Diana Jacobo, who kept me waiting for over 45 minutes without offering any real solution. At one point, she even had her employee, Eduardo, call AT&T from his personal phone and pretend to be a customer instead of contacting AT&T through official store channels as a manager. After wasting more than 45 minutes of my day -- and completely ruining part of my time as a tourist -- she rudely refused to issue any kind of reimbursement, which would be the bare minimum and ethical response when a customer pays for a service that doesn't work. This level of service is unacceptable. I strongly advise other travelers to avoid this AT&T branch -- or AT&T Mexico altogether -- if you rely on a functioning internet connection for navigation or communication. AT&T should immediately review this store's management and hold the responsible staff accountable.

I lost my SIM card and needed a replacement without losing my phone number. Once I found the actual store, I told the girl at the front I was looking for someone who spoke English. She brought me to a nice man who had very good English and understood when I said I wanted a replacement SIM rather than a new one. Showed him my number, ID, and paid 59 pesos and within minutes he had a new SIM activated. I put it in my phone and it worked right away. Simple, easy, and cheap enough for my boneheadedness of losing my SIM card.

Today, my phone stopped working and will no longer turn on. When I went to the Apple store to have it fixed, they told me to replace the back glass Fix Friends did not actually have to take the phone apart and replace the entire back of the phone. They also found that one of the parts was from a whole different model of iPhone. I now have to purchase a whole new phone.

They did a diagnostic and found that the original battery was removed from my phone. Fix Friends stole the original battery from my phone and installed a cheaper version. Attached is confirmation from a different company that the original battery was removed. Keep in mind, the day I went to get my phone fixed for just a broken screen and back, one of the staff members said that I may experience battery issues, and they claimed this was "completely normal." My phone which costs $1000 ($18,091.30 Mexican Pesos) is completely damaged now. Please avoid this place! It may seem like they are fixing your items, but they are actually being very shady and could potentially be stealing from you as well without you knowing it. First review 08/22/23: Complete trash and unprofessional. I came to Fix Friends with a broken screen and back. And I ended up leaving with more problems. I had to return to Fix Friends four times just to get the same issues fixed. My microphone/speaker stopped working, the front screen kept falling off, and my battery and logic card were completely ruined. The worker Luis is completely sketchy, immature, irresponsible, dishonest and then tried to blame me for the issues instead of acknowledging and taking responsibility for the bad service and not actually fixing my phone.
