Adelaide Family Lawyers

I went to Adelaide Family Lawyers with a fairly simple but seemingly unsolvable issue. I found…read moretheir staff to be very professional and friendly. They seemed to care about my issue as much as I did. As it happened, the lawyer solved my issue as part of their free 45 minute consult. I would like to thank them for not complicating the matter and giving me a solution that has not only, not costed me any fees but saved me hours in negotiation time with my ex. I have paid a lot of money in the past for half the service and their fresh approach is such a welcome relief. Keep up the great work Adelaide Family Lawyers.

Leventis Louis
DECEPTIVE, DISHONEST, TREACHEROUS, LAW-BREAKING Leventis…read moreLawyers (LL) in conjunction with Arnold Costs Solicitors (ACS) conspired and colluded with Costs Law SA (CLSA) and McDonough & Co (MDC) in the tendering of false documents (invoices and schedules) in the Supreme Court, aided and abetted by Judicial Officers in that court. LL/AC got law WRONG from the outset. This was borne out by the Judge costing me THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars and months of my time unnecessarily. LL/ACS, I can PROVE ACTIVELY WORKED AGAINST ME - whilst telling me how they were, ''Here to help''!!! LLAC PURPOSELY mixed ''our'' documents with ''theirs'. LL/AC sent me invoices I had never seen before that were ''supposed'' to be part of the matter but were not! One had no date, another pages alternately placed upside down - both I had never seen before! LL/ACS never answered my queries as to ''what are these?'' and ''where did you get them from?'' and ''what date is this!?"" LL/ACS did not tender CRITICAL documents they were supposed to. Time and time again, LL/ACS misled/lied to me over many other issues including the lodgment of those critical documents. To further PURPOSELY CONFUSE and OBFUSCATE matters, LL and ACS purposely omitted and even CREATED dates eg Submission - ''September version'' - 3 times! - there is no September version!! I came to LL (and ACS) in good faith and was ''rewarded'' with dishonesty, deception and lies. LL/ACS protected a law firm that had MIS-APPROPRIATED MONIES (MDC). As you may have guessed, I lost my case. LL ''stole'' my $60,000 and ACS 'stole' my $30,000; amongst a pack of lies, treachery and deceit. Given the chance, they will do it to you. You have been warned. STAY AWAY!

So, it is a very exciting time in my life at the moment as I have just purchased a new house!…read moreHooray! Only took me 9 months of searching, but I got the right one. Now, onto the paperwork. The first thing that I have learnt through buying my first home is that there is a lot paperwork involved. Wow is it daunting. I am very glad that we can go to the professionals to get transfers of title and registrations completed. It is so important to find a good conveyancer to get the job done and also to look after your best interests through the process. A good conveyancer will ensure that everyone is doing their job; the bank, agent and the owner's conveyancer. They are like your mascot and leader through this process. After asking all of my friends who to go to for my conveyancing I was recommended to go see Michael at O'Loughlins Lawyers. I made a quick enquiry over the phone and was so delighted as he was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He offered me a great price for his services, so I decided to entrust him with my first house purchase. Now, I can tell you, if it was not for Michael I think that the whole experience would have been so much more stressful. Michael constantly kept me in the loop of each stage. At any time I had a question, he was happy to answer it. He ensured that the Bank did their calculations correctly; that the agent was on top of all the paperwork. He made sure everyone did what they needed to do on time. Wow, it was like a weight was taken from my shoulders! I am so impressed and grateful for his hard work; I thought it was so important to share my experience here on Yelp. That way when you find a house you know a great conveyancer in Adelaide. Now that all the paperwork is complete, I feel so relieved and I can focus on getting into my new home! Thank you so much Michael for all your help!

The office was in fact tiny, and there were just two very lovely ladies working there. I was a few months late with my tax, okay, about 6 months late. I'd never used an accountant before, because I've never had complicated tax. Thankfully the lady who helped me out was so fantastic that I wondered what I'd been worried about. She explained why she was doing anything, didn't bat an eyelid when I searched for receipts in my emails (printer broke) and was also helpful with any questions I had. From the sounds of things they're a tiny bit more expensive than some, but if you're getting it back on tax it won't make too much of a difference.

In a buyer beware service, there are effectively no real protections for the consumer. This is an odd situation to place people who are probably in a very vulnerable time in their lives in, but this is the reality. You will already probably know that Taanya charges at the high end of the rates scale so it is very valid to ask, is she worth it? Based on my experience, absolutely not and hence this review. There is no correlation between high end of the rates scale and high level of quality of services based on the measures of acting in the best interests of the paying client rather than furthering her own agenda. I had a list of questions to be answered. What I experienced was that she padded out her time to maximise her billings and answered some questions, not directly, but in a way to further her agenda by focusing on certain elements and avoiding inconvenient elements effectively delivering spin. She did not answer the questions where she couldn't do this. What I was left with was half a result and then, without spending a lot more money, limited ways of progressing. From my perspective there was a lack of integrity in her work evidenced by not answering the direct questions that didn't suit her agenda. I wish you well and hope this review was useful to you.
