After my visit today this place has definitely set a horrendous first impression. There absolutely no reason i got here at 7:20 AM and haven't been seen yet it's almost 10:30am. If you actually want to be seen quickly and efficiently don't come here . You have better chances being seen at a ER faster than this joke of an Urgent Care . I was one of the first patients here and a magnitude of people who came in a 1hr+ after me being seen before me and many other patrons who were here early . This place seems extremely understaffed . I went to the Harrisburg East location on Union Deposit for yellow fever and typhoid fever vaccines. I have called around and to my knowledge they have the best prices for these vaccines. I made the appointment ahead of time, and when I entered they had no record of my appointment. They seemed disorganized, but check-in went fine. I asked them to print the paperwork I was supposed to fill out ahead of time and they did so easily. I was quickly taken back for my appointment, yet given time to fill out this paperwork. I had a nice consultation and a beautiful shot given by my nurse. If you need care prior to travel, this is the place to go. read more

I waited for three hours to be seen by a provider. I saw many people come and be seen. The nurse even asked the receptionist why I was still in the waiting room. The receptionist's response was a little unprofessional. Her response, " she was filling out paperwork; she has to get a drug test, there are other people that were here too." Her comment violates Hippa laws as she made this comment in the waiting room where I and others could overhear. She then continued to joke about her being here for too long. I'm a very patient person however the receptionist's attitude is very concerning. read more

Called one day to schedule an appointment for fit testing and was told that it was just walk in but to arrive no later than 3. I spent over 2 hours sitting in the waiting area for a test that takes 5 minutes, come to find out I was put in for the wrong appointment/test by the registration people which I'm sure contributed to my wait since when I was brought back I was told I was getting a physical and fit testing, but I was only there to be fit tested. The tech that did my testing was very personable and pleasant and was pretty much the only positive part of my time there. Overall would not recommend going to this urgent care; you should be able to schedule an appointment and fill out required paperwork online so that you don't get stuck sitting around for forever, and there evidently needs to be some better training for the intake staff. Horrendous. I had to go here for a physical for a job I had applied for. First they took so long that I ended up using the waiting room bathroom so then I had to wait till I had to go again for the piss test. The second time this happened they still kept me waiting and took so long to get me for the drug test I ended doubled over in physical pain. Finally I got mad and yelled at the receptionist and only then did somebody take me to get it done! There is no excuse for this even with possible computer issues, especially given there was barely anyone in the waiting room. read more

Concentra is located on Lewes road, off the Penhar Drive exit of 322 East, in swatara township. It is a health service provider, who does a lot of work related injuries, drug testing, physical therapy and physicals. It is walk-in only. This is probably my 5th time in there for work related items. Once I was hit by a forklift and sent here in 2001. They also do flu shots and sports medicine. There is always a wait there. It seems like it would be cool to go to, but it is really super boring. My visit was over two hours, with only about 10 minutes of filling out paperwork, then maybe 50 minutes of actually tests. Today they took my height, weight, check vision, did a pre-employment drug test & physical. Basically Mia has already summed it up. read more

Well I came here today for my CDL recert. I checked in at 8am and checked out at 8:45am. Staff was very professional.

Concentra is a medical clinic, mainly focused on on-the-job injuries and pre-employment screenings. I've been to Concentra a few times for work physicals, drug tests, and things of that nature. Sometimes they're nice, sometimes they're nicer. With such a high volume of patients, it's hard for them to get everyone in and out quickly, but they really do try their best. I've never had a bad experience at Concentra - I mean yeah, you will have to wait, but they do try to expedite things as much as possible. They even have a fast track for drug testing since it's simple and quick and easy. A physical will run you 56$, a TB test is 12$ and I'm not sure about the rest of the fees. Definitely a good place to go when you don't have a real doctor (my pediatrician won't see me any more. Booo hooo) or insurance. read more

I've been to many Urgent Care centers as my job keeps me on the road a good bit of the time. This place is fast. Very fast. So fast in fact , they whisk you through like cattle. I will never go back to this location. The "Dr". Told me I had a viral infection after just talking to me for two minutes. I was like, seriously? Coughing, fever, congested, and aching all over. Not even a blood workup. Forget this place. I'll go to a real physician from now on. read more

Came in for a physical for work. I waited in the room for 35 minutes before I went to ask if anyone would be in. Sat there freezing in my sheet. The physical room 4 minutes. Was told to change and she would be right back. It's been 20 minutes and I'm sitting here still waiting. Wasting my time like I don't have things to do today. read more

People that just walked in the door went in before some of the people that were waiting well over one hour. It also doesn't help that the chairs are disgusting. I understand it is a clinic type place but still. I don't want to sit on a chair that I'm questioning what the stain is from. The only positive is that they have free water, which you'll need because you're going to be waiting here a longggggg time. The other positive is that the lady at the front desk was nice. One star is for the kind woman who checked me in. I'm a new resident in PA and I needed a physical in order to obtain a PA driver's license. The receptionist was efficient, clarified my questions, and the wait time she mentioned for my exam was accurate. I met with the doctor for a routine physical. I have epilepsy and I haven't had a seizure in 7 years. I've been driving since I was 16 and I have never had restrictions. The doctor stated that the law is one has to go 10 years seizure free before one can drive again (I have a current license/international/German). I was totally floored. She wrote on the form that a neurologists needed to sign off. Checking out I needed a receipt of services to send to my insurance. They couldn't give me a basic receipt showing services. The woman checking me out was annoyed and simply stated they don't have it. I had to push to try to understand why I couldn't get an itemized receipt for services rendered. She said the doctor has to write it up and they don't do it right away. I told her I didn't need a doctor signature, just a receipt. The receptionist who checked me in overheard us and came over and told her what to print. She printed it and waited for a doctor to sign. I asked if she could simply put a stamp and give it to me. I had to wait for an hour and 10 minutes for a receipt to show why I was there. I can walk into a grocery store and get a detailed receipt but not for my healthcare? Unheard of. Once I got home I tried to find a neurologist in the area to see me. Call-after-call I was told that I couldn't get in without a referral. This doctor who wrote I needed to see a neurologist should have known that she had the responsibility to write a referral and direct me to the next steps. I will never go there again. Not only because of the doctors incompetence, pushing me out the door, but for the hassle of simply checking out. For all of you with epilepsy the law is SIX MONTHS, NOT 10 years. read more

Unfortunately I have had multiple poor experiences here. I had one good experience which was only with the physical therapy portion of the hospital. Physical therapy here is amazing! However, majority of the patient care staff is rude, condescending, and not interested in helping people. Don't expect to receive accurate information or results in a timely manner, especially with lab work. You are an inconvenience as soon as you walk thru the door. read more

This was my first experience bringing my daughter (11years old) to an urgent care facility. First off, the lady at the front desk was extremely rude, like I inconvenienced her to have to come to the front desk to check my daughter in. Then I find out that there was no one to treat my daughter because they said she had to be treated by someone who had experience with treating children. That was a pointless visit. I've been there twice on work related issues and they were fine, very professional, friendly and efficient. I was there once with the flu/pneumonia and was not very happy with the care. The nurse and respiratory therapist provided excellent care. The physician was more concerned with how she was being paid versus actual care provided. Several times we were asked how we were paying and each time the answer was cash. I was diagnosed as needing an antibiotic shot, but was sent out without it. The nurse didn't even know what was going on. I understand wanting paid and they were paid in full, but it can't override treatment. Consequently, I will not return to this facility for treatment. read more

I went to the Concentra Urgent Care on 4200 Union Deposit Rd in Harrisburg, PA this evening. I was there for 2 hours. After waiting 45 minutes to be seen, I spent 50 minutes in the exam room waiting for the doctor to come in to do a simple strep test on my sore throat! Because I didn't have health insurance, I had to pay $150 up front before I could even be seen. Therefore I couldn't just walk out after waiting 50 minutes for the doctor. The staff and doctor(s) saw people who came after me, and took care of me last after everyone else went home. My fiancé had to go up to the front desk at closing time just to get someone to see me. Unfortunately, I believe that this occurred due to my lack of health insurance that the staff believed they could make me wait forever to be seen since I had to pre-pay. This never should have happened, and I shouldn't have had to wait so long by myself in the exam room for the doctor with no updates on when I would be seen. read more
