This is how healthcare should work. The care I received from beginning to end was excellent, attentive, caring, personal, and effective. From my initial visit with my PCP (Dr. Currier) to the imaging department at the Concord Hospital, to the Concord Ortho doctors she referred me to (Dr. Brummett, the EMG doc, and my surgeon, Dr. Mollano), a very serious pinched nerve condition causing loss of strength and feeling in my right hand was tested, diagnosed, and treated quickly and effectively with surgery. I'd like to start by saying that this place is responsible for my permanent disability of my right shoulder. and that's just the beginning.... me and my significant other have been using them for the passed 3-4 years just for basic pt or stuff like that and they absolutely suck. they don't call you when they need to reschedule an appointment and when they do they pick the time that's convenient for them not you. there's also multiple physicians there that don't take their jobs seriously and just slack off half the time and don't clean their stations. my significant other had just went to them to try and figure out soreness problems granted she is about 20 yo they didn't even bat an eye, told her to use meds that she'd taken before and made her feel like shit or practically claimed she was "faking" it. how professional....... Doctor Frost is really good. I first saw him in 2023 and was happy that he said that I was the perfect candidate for a total knee replacement but that he wouldn't do it because I was too young and because my bmi was too high. I was upset because even though he was quoting the medical journals that he got the information from I couldn't understand because I've had three back surgeries and a spinal cord stimulator and my weight wasn't an issue for any of those things. Fast forward three years and he told me the same thing about my weight. The thing that made this conversation different is that I'm currently on Wegovy losing three pounds a week so he said he'll see me in 10-12 weeks when I'm 250lbs or less! read more

Not only was my appointment rescheduled without a phone call, and not rebooked - yielding confusion and a wasted day off, I watched this transpire to at least two other patients while I waited for my appointment that was running an hour behind schedule. When inquired about rescheduling another appointment the office lady told me "oh we are so busy now we have to double book". That is 100% poor quality healthcare and results in poor outcomes and dissatisfaction. Think twice before booking with them. read more

Went to the walk-in clinic in a lot of pain in my hip and leg. After x-rays, the PA told me I should see a surgeon for a hip replacement. I went to my NY orthopedist (ortho to a couple of NY pro teams). He said the pain was from my back (confirmed with MRI), and recommended a cortizone shot. Bottom line: they're good, but not perfect. Get a second opinion before surgery. read more

I have had two knee replacements done at another place and I wanted a fresh look at the shape that my knees are in right now well they argued with me that I have to they won't see me without my previous records and blah blah blah I want an opinion from a doctor that tells me the current condition of my knees because I cannot walk. And the place that did them before stuck me in a nursing home where they would not let me get up and walk. And they did not have me walk up and down stairs like I did the first time. I have been to several physicians at CO who have been wonderful to deal with, however, this review is specifically regarding my recent visit (week of 10/21/24) with Dr. Brummett. In my experience, Dr. Brummett is the most unprofessional, ill-mannered and disrespectful doctor I have ever encountered. I have a number of health issues and therefore, have interacted with more medical professionals than the average person. Leaving my appointment with him (shortened, because no one should allow themselves to be abused verbally or otherwise), I felt degraded and mistreated. For him to, in essence, say that I was there for "medication" only was unprofessional and demonstrated a total disregard (and disdain) for the pain I am experiencing. IMO, he shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine as he apparently does not care about the plight of patients - and feels compelled to belittle them. He obviously is too ignorant to understand the Hippocratic Oath since he appears to not care whether he adds to a patient's well-being or makes them worse. Stay clear of this person. read more

I was referred to Dr. Casey by my Primary for a second opinion on a recommended shoulder surgery. After multiple scheduling issues and poor treatment from the reception staff, I decided to cancel. Initial consult was scheduled 1 month out. I asked and was assured that they would have all of my history including MRI transferred to them prior to the consult (as it would be a waste of time to not have this information). On the day of the appointment, out of caution, I called to confirm that they indeed transferred the medical records. They DID NOT. The receptionist was borderline furious that I asked this question and blamed their "system". She complained to me about their system issues and was nasty and defensive. Nevertheless, I schedule a new appointment 1 month out (so now 2 months from original request). About one week prior to this next appointment, I was notified that they needed to reschedule (after they complained more about their system). So now an additional month out, totaling 3 MONTHS wait for an initial consult. At this point I cannot be sure that an appointment will ever happen. Due to scheduling issues, poor treatment by staff and a generally bad overall feeling, I decided to move on. read more

This place is a total joke ! Minus 5 stars if I could. The original appointment went well only waited 3 days. Then over 3 weeks before they even sent an MRI script to my insurance ! Another 3 weeks for my followup which turns out I needed a meniscotomy. Then schedule procedure out 3 weeks ... then days before surgery bumping me out another month !? All the while the office behind the doctors there are absolutely despicable! Aside from the receptionist they never answer the phone or return messages left. Sometimes up to 5 a day. I'm a bit disappointed with Concord Orthopedic today. I made an appointment with my Doctor for a cortisone shot thinking they are given every 3 months. I took time away from work and drove there. I waited for my doctor to come in for him to to tell me he only gives them every 6 months! His appointment setters should know that and stopped me from making the appointment. I can't believe the administrative side of this business. I have not experienced the surgical side, although I've heard good things. I went last week for severe right hip and thigh pain, was told to take a five day course of a prednisone oral drug. I've waited six days and nobody seems to be able to get the prescription to my pharmacy. It went off to a different pharmacy, and then it sat around for a day with nobody doing anything, and every time I called I was on hold for 10 to 30 minutes. And no one knew quite how to solve it. They said they'd send me an email about a pin number for the portal, and they got the email address wrong so I didn't get that either. Being in pain is hard, but sitting on hold with "care" center, and getting no care at all, it's incredibly irritating and depressing. I'll find someone else. read more

If your looking for a good place to have a second opinion on a knee replacement, this is not the place. I tried to make an appointment with Dr Dion. I was told he needed to review my records and x-rays first after providing all of that and some of them twice, because he didn't realize he already had them , after waiting 45 days i was told to go back to the original provider and get lab work and more x rays or he wouldn't see me. Isnt that what they should do as part of 2nd opinion ???? I refused to do this and said i would come back and pick up my records and x rays. I was told i could get the records but the x rays were destroyed. I questioned how this could have happened as I was told they would be returned to me. Reason one, "x rays disc's self destruct when up loaded, really !!!! when questioned, they gave a different reason. Reason 2 " we have to destroy them after uploading by law!!!!" Again i question and they went to reason 3 Reason 3. "If the patient doesn't say they want them back they destroy them." I did say i wanted them back when i delivered them, and was told i would get them at the first visit. read more

I went to Concord orthopedic in April of 2024 for hip surgery. I was introduced to Dr.Dion who does not listen. He tells you what he thinks and then he leaves, does not discuss your situation. Doesn't show any compassion. This is now November and I am still waiting for Dr Dion to do this surgery. Though I have requested another doctor from the practice. Because of Dr.Dion's ability to communicate with me in a human level and not act like a robot. For lack of a better word. I was on the phone last week after missing an appointment for 3 days. Each day multiple times being put on hold for over 25 minutes before I got disconnected by them. I emailed the CEO Jen White and asked for her help regarding my situation. And, do not have Dr. Brummett as your surgeon he will just charm you and tell you you're doing great, walking better, and try to convince you by showing you the x-ray. Appt was at 11:10am, finally doctor in to see him at 12:40pm. I knew I had a torn meniscus and they made me get an X-ray (after I refused one) even though it doesn't show anything. said insurance makes them order an X-ray as they start with the least expensive thing. guess what? didn't show a damn thing and now I have to go back for an MRI. The woman who works in the front "greeting" patients is a joke. Rude beyond rude. She needs to work out back away from patients. My opinion of Concord Orthopedics continues to sink. While almost all my doctors there are fine - the administration is really bad. Two weeks to maybe get a MRI for severe sciatica (almost can't use one leg).?? I got a lot of attitude back when I asked why my insurance did not have a request for authorization after a week. If you can't provide medical services in a timely manner maybe you should stop trying to expand to an empire that the sun never sets on! Maybe pull that staff back to Concord to take care of business! Speaking of taking care of business - the North Building in Concord is basically a disgrace - considering what you have been spending on new offices elsewhere. My daughter and I traveled a little over an hour to her appointment at 330p and arrived at 320p with a broken coccyx in the snow. We arrived and they verified our appointment was at 3pm ! I asked who changed it and when were they going to tell me! I spoke with the nurse 2 hours before verifying if we should come because we were so far away, over an hour. She recommended we do come to the appointment. I also let them know when I called for the appointment yesterday the person who scheduled my daughter, they verified the Drs last appointment was 330p! Once we arrived I let them know we traveled over an hour and they refused to see my daughter! They wanted us to reschedule and I said no going to Boston! If I could give them a lower rating I would.. I didn't care for my first hand Dr so I switched (on my husband's referral to his) and couldn't be happier. Dr Casey, who did my shoulder surgery, was good, as were the people on the day of surgery. But that's where it ends. The scheduling is i unreliable... 3x they cancelled my follow up ... each time pushing the date, changing Doctors and location. The outcome was having my PT cutoff prematurely. I suppose I could appeal the Ins company's decision but we all know how that'll go. So, I'll pay out of pocket for the remainder of PT. Avoid unless you need pills because this place loves to write prescriptions. My regular Podiatrist at Dartmouth was unavailable so instead I gave Concord Ortho a shot. Over a series of 4 visits I saw Dr. Resnick and Dr. Shirley who were both mystified by my Plantar Fascitis and Peronial Tendonitis issues. They twice prescribed me gout medication even though those pills did nothing to alleviate my issue and I mentioned to them countless times that my issue felt unlike any gout attack I've ever had. I mean, it lasted weeks and the type of pain was inconsistent with any gout flare I've ever had. For 5 weeks, they pushed pills and kept telling me to come back and re-evaluate things every two weeks. I asked for PT, they told me I needed to take the pills first. Finally... my regular Dr. at Dartmouth was available. She said, yeah, it's not gout stop taking those pills, what you have is tendonitis. She then wrote me a Physical Therapy recommendation within my network and I've been on the road to recovery. Concord Orthopedics is great if you want to be prescribed pills... I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who needs actual results. read more

This office will make you get xrays whether or not they're needed. They claim they can't " fly blind". They do this in order to drive up your bill and they make extra money. Any good doctor should know how to do a physical exam before determining if x-rays are needed. Here they just do them for every patient every time many times BEFORE even touching the patient. such a scam. read more

Here it is September 12, 2024. I had an MRI scheduled by Dr. Vores at Concord Hospital Laconia. It has now been almost 3 months since my MRI and have not heard ONE word from Concord Orthopedics office. Itis so obvious that all they care about is making money from the patients. They fitted me with a knee brace in June, were quick to send the bill for the brace but never follow up on an MRI?? I have 2 torn meniscus, lateral and medial and live in pain every day. Do NOT go to this practice if you expect to receive goo care. I went to Concord Hospital Laconia to get my MRI Report and images, and currently have an appointment with another Orthopedic Doctor in Wolfeboro. I will never go back to Concord for anything. If you get an appointment with Dr. Vores you will see he is quick to get you out of there, recommends cortisone shots (he gave me 2 at different times) neither of them helped at all ...stay away! read more

Had back Surgery by Dr. Levy on 6/30/23. Felt real sick several days later and went to the ER. They could not find anything wrong, except my white blood cells were elevated. Went back a week later and same thing happened. Six weeks after surgery, I again went the local ER. Was transferred to Concord per Dr. Levy. They found fluid in my surgical site. Did emergency surgery and found out I got a Staph infection from surgery. Was admitted to three different hospitals, went ER 7 times. It was a nightmare! I went to see then 2nd visit I was told that I have muscle that had moved and dead tissue so repair could not be done compleatly. I went to the Vetrans Dr. at the VA boston and they said no muscles had moved and the damage was not that bad I could go without an operation. Very very disapointed. I had a appointment last week concerning my back. I've been a patient for almost 20 years. I felt unheard. I was almost in tears leaving. After hearing I don't know wihy your in pain. Instead of let's figure out what's wrong. I have a high tolerance and I have had 2 back surgeries. All I heard was pretty much was why were you sent to me? You look fine and I have no idea why your in pain. So I felt like I can't help you, I'll send you to someone to give you shots and your wasting my time. Dr Dion didn't want to listen to my knee problem. I felt like he didn't want to be there. He came in the room and was rushing. He wasn't in the room more than ten minutes. Didn't want to hear about when my knee locks for up to 9 hours or more and that I am missing work. Said do physical therapy like that a magical fix. Knee is bone on bone and arthritis. I need knee replacement he said to lose weight and come back in 6 months. He acted like I was a taking up valuable time of his, but he will be charging a lot. Stay away from this Practice unless you enjoy additional stress. My wife was scheduled for a hip surgery which was originally scheduled for 6/24/2019. She had asked if it could get done earlier and they moved it to 6/11/2019 after going through all the pre-surgery tests they told her the week before that she had to stop smoking for 4 weeks so she stopped smoking as requested. They rescheduled her again for 7/2/2019 then the next day they rescheduled again for 7/3/2019. A week later they moved her surgery to 6/26/2019. Then on 6/25/2019 they wanted to reschedule her again. She told them they could go fry themselves. She was not going to deal with this group anymore because of the incompetence of the whole team. With the stress of preparing for surgery and the juggling of numerous resources to assist with her rehabilitation at home I would not recommend using these folks for anything. Dr. Dion was the surgeon not sure of his capability but the office team obviously does not know what they are doing. I would avoid this practice at all costs.
