The service was wonderful and they told us how many minutes to boil each type of pasta. I had veggie ravioli, my daughter gnocchi and my husband had wide egg noodles. We got red sauce and mushroom sauce and a bottle of Alamo wine. It was a fraction of the cost of eating out and absolutely fresh and yummy. Highly recommend!

Our grilled calamari were excellent along with the salad we shared. We enjoyed a glass of wine with our lunch. The ambiance was lovely we chose to sit outside since the weather was wonderful. I love it when great things open up in my neighborhood…read more Ciudad de la Paz is really heating up these days and La Parra Club is further proof of that. I'd passed it a few times before I really had a reason to enter: artesanal beer night! I just want to point out that beer was all I wanted, but I also left with a big bottle of olive oil and plans to order sandwiches the next day. Oh and a lovely glass of malbec that came with some conversation. La Parra specializes in sourcing from small boutique wineries and has a surprisingly affordable array of wines available. As the owner, Juan Bautista, said: "at least 80% of the wines you can't find in the supermarket." Damn right. They also have Argentine products, everything from high-quality dried pasta, to some of the best olive oil i've ever had (they have a special relationship with an olive oil company that only exports). I also had Gante's artesanal i.p.a., which was really delicious! We'll be back for it. La Parra also does wine tasting on Fridays for $150 pesos, including a picada. For anyone working in the area, they have a sandwich promo from 12-3pm that includes a cheese and meat sammie with a soda for $40. Cheers to one more great spot in the neighborhood!
