It's large enough to cater for just about all your needs in terms of groceries and food, and has a fresh fish counter and delicatessen. The interior is a slightly odd shape, so navigating takes a little while to get used to. The choice of fruit and veg is a bit more limited than we're used to at home quite a lot of stuff is pre-packed, and there are certain things they don't have but then the market is only a few minutes away with several greengrocers to choose from. Other than that, it stocks most things: of course, the choice and brands reflect Spanish tastes, so there are a few things they don't have that we're used to the in UK, and vice-versa. It's a popular branch, and has customer parking and (useful, this) lockers to stash your bags or other shopping while you are going around.

For only 1.70 Euros you get a decent sized cafe con leche and a large croissant. Their croissants have a sugar wash, thus making them slightly sweeter than French croissants. This bakery also offers croissants that are dusted and baked with chocolate that are in the traditional crescent shape. They also sell tiny croissants. Locals frequent this bakery on their way to the train. It has great big windows which allow​ sunlight to pour in as you enjoy your pastries. The bakery offers a selection of premade sandwiches to which they will add ingredients to taste. If you're in the Gava area, definitely​ stop by.

We grabbed a seat on the patio and they delivered our goods right to the table. This definitely was a local morning hangout stop in town and I understand why! With amazing pastries, coffee and service we couldn't have picked a better spot. The prices were also very affordable which is always a win in my book. I will be having sweet dreams of this place for months to come, too bad it's so far away.

It's a pleasantly laid-out store, with a slightly more up-market feel than Mercadona or Caprabo, though it's not as large as its competitors and the range is a bit more limited. There's not much parking in the surrounding area, so it's not much use if you shop by car, although the local Vilanova town bus stops nearby. Usefully, it's open during the siesta, every week-day.

The sweet pastries and croissants looked great but we didn't have any of them. The cafe con leche was good, but what I particularly liked was the freshly squeezed orange juice that I could see them making to-order. I'd highly recommend getting a glass of this. Overall, nice place to come get a pastry, snack or quick breakfast. They have seats at the bar or small tables to sit and relax and the ambiance is nice with a lot of natural light and windows.

So good we decided to stock up on our drinks for the next few days (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Bought some Baguette, cheese, regular ham and Jamon (just 1 Euro a pack!) for lunch.
