Brunch, chicken sausage, potatoes, gouda grits, eggs

Really good brunch here! Thank goodness because Brookhaven needs it. I came in and sat at the beautiful and large bar, where they have several tv's for your viewing pleasure. I went with a basic scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, breakfast potatoes, and gouda grits. I also had a pineapple mimosa on the side. Sheesh!! What a delicious breakfast. The chicken sausage was links and it was moist and had a great bite. The grits were the real stand out here, I can't wait to try those again! The bartender/server was phenomenal and did a great job checking in with me but giving me space as well. They had a lot of seating, indoor and outdoor. They also have like a walk-up bar. They had beautiful Christmas decor up which added to my delight. They validate parking for 2 hours which is much appreciated.

Go hungry if you want to enjoy this meal! WOW, I could not believe the portions and flavor packed into this meal. Our girls had the best time at Confab. Hannah was an amazing server and recommended all the things for us to try. Our friend, Sara, is a regular so they knew just what she wanted. The cheese curds are like the ones you would get at the fair and I am not mad about it! It's almost like a light tempura batter with a very unique dipping ketchup. To me, they were perfect on their own. No ketchup needed. Because, of course I wanted just about everything on the menu I had to settle for just a few items to split with my girls. The fried chicken biscuit is a monster. The biscuit is obviously homemade and the chicken was crispy and flavorful. We also tried the lobster roll, which a lighter option but also very good. Pomme Frites for the win! They come in a cute little basket and have just the right amount of salt on them. I almost forgot My cocktail! The "only yu" comes in a coupe glass and was a great accompaniment for my heavy meal. I could go on and on about this little brunch spot!

Super cute area a restaurant! We went for brunch and got the mimosa pitcher which was lovely! You had the option of orange, passion fruit, or cranberry. Food was also delicious and large portions. Our waitress was also very patient with us as we were talking so much it took us so long to actually get orders in (oops!) but it was worth the wait 10/10 recommend

So far my favorite spot for modern American and classic European flavors! I really enjoyed their grilled oyster, scotch quail eggs, lobster roll, and bread pudding! They also have brunch and happy hour, I can't wait to go again!

Confab continues to impress with concept, service, and ambiance - it's easily one of the best spots in the neighborhood on those fronts. Jessica, our server, was a standout, attentive and knowledgeable. The new outdoor TVs at the bar are a game changer, and Sunday Ticket for football fans is a great touch. The area of opportunity is still kitchen ops & execution of dishes... Food: * Tuna tostadas: Loved these! Well-balanced, good quality tuna, maybe slightly heavy on the mayo. Two chips were a bit stale, but still fantastic overall. * Grouper bites: Perfect * Steak tartare: Delicious. Hand made potato chips were also excellent. * Octopus: Cook was a touch off - slightly gummy outside; would shine with a quick char or crisp finish. Sauce seemed like it had been sitting, but flavors were still good * Broccolini: Absolutely craveable! perfectly charred with crunchy topping. Romanesco sauce is a winner! * Grouper: Subbed grits for root veggies due to diary allergy. Initially served undercooked but kitchen quickly fixed it. I'd love to try with the artichoke/puttanesca prep * Lobster roll: Very good, Excello value, surprisingly enjoyable cold. Bun size perfect for the portion, claws were legit! Subbed fries for asparagus since we'd eaten our bodyweight in food haha * Asparagus: Really good, nice grilled flavor Overall, still a spot we'll return to, and always excited to see what's next on the menu!

Service was great. Food was solid and it was a good cool atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

We had a great experience at this establishment. Glad I found them in the local paper! The whole experience was amazing. We went to brunch and tried the Scottish quail eggs and cheese curds as appetizers. Amazing start to the meal. My sweetheart drank a Pear Pressure and liked it very much. Entrees were the wagyu burger and veggie crepe, with added scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. We loved both of them. I'm not a vegetarian but that crepe with the basil cream sauce was special. All sauces are house-made and the food was great quality. We also had a chance to meet the owner, Doug, and our server, Hana, just added the cherry on top. Definitely recommend.

One of our favorite neighborhood spot for great service, food, and drinks! Great location with a nice large indoor and outdoor bar.

    Peach bread pudding

Share plates - Fritters were similar to a hushpuppy but slightly different. Wings were not very meaty. Both appetizers were just ok. Would probably order something else next time. Lobster roll had good flavor. Decent amount of lobster. Chicken thigh roulade - chicken was good, dirty rice had organ meat (liver?) mixed in that was not listed on menu. Peach bread pudding - bread pudding needed to be slightly sweeter and should have been serviced with ice cream instead of whipped cream. Ambiance - laid back but loud Service was good.

    Mussels

What a great meal! We stumbled into Confab walking down Dresden and loved everything! Live music, attentive service and GREAT food! Plus they are super festive for the holidays. We tried the Beet and Burratta appetizer, the mussels and Lobster Roll (20/10) - sadly didn't get a picture of the lobster roll. Guess we need to go back for another

Our first visit here they host was yelling a greeting down the stairs as we were coming up. He was prepared for us and had menus in hand and led us to a table as soon as we got up there. Sat at a table in front of some big windows that overlook the street down below. A quick look over the menu and I had my choice. Seeing that they serve breakfast all day I knew what I was getting. Biscuits and gravy, upgrading it by adding hashbrowns. That felt like the right thing to do. Like hardcore the right thing to do. When I think biscuits and gravy I usually think a biscuit smothered in sausage gravy. However, they do a bit of a twist on it here. They give you two sausage biscuits drowned in that homestyle gravy. That way you are guaranteed a bite of everything as you go in this meal. It was delightful to have bite like that. Then when you finish that off, you can use that gravy as a flavor enhancer for the hashbrowns. I mean they can hold their own, but combining things are always great. This was so good that when I came back again a few days later, I had the exact same thing. I know if I was in the area, I would be back again and again. The service here is top notch. The servers know the menu quite well. They were able to run down that menu and let you know anything about any given dish. This place is easy to get to if staying nearby in one of the hotels. Or you can access it through The Hub.

Oh my goodness, it was just as incredibly delicious and outstanding as I remember it being, if not even better! Every single bite was a pure delight. But here's the really cool part that genuinely made my night: the same wonderful gentleman who used to greet everyone at the door, probably six or seven years back, is *still* there! Ironically, I'm working on a movie production which allowed me a gap in my schedule to stop in for a quick breakfast. I say ironically because I was not aware TSS had become such an iconic set for some well known movies and series over the years. [Yes! I live in a box!] I imagine TSS was the "go to" place for locals in years past. It imagine it still is for some because it is somewhat convenient, has decent parking, and fairly easy to get in and out. In midtown ATL, this is huge!! I sat at the counter and my order was taken immediately. My water and cup of coffee was placed in front of me immediately. The nostalgia was undeniable and I observed the front wait staff seemed happy (inconceivable!). I found myself grinning to myself at their small talk and humor. I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit (served open faced) with a side of hashbrowns. My food was served hot straight from the grill. My only regret was not ordering toast because the biscuit, to my disappointment, was not homemade. I compare it to the Mary B's Frozen Biscuits I use to buy when I wanted a biscuit but didn't have time to pull out my wooden bowl or had no buttermilk in the fridge. Two clean, single occupancy bathrooms for paying customers are assessable from the outside and entering through the door to the kitchen. That was interesting.. I imagine the building has not changed much over the years.
